1Listenשִׁמְע֤וּshim.'UH8085to Me, Oislandsאִיִּים֙'i.YimH339,And payוְהַקְשִׁ֥יבוּve.hak.Shi.vuH7181attentionH7181,you peoplesלְאֻמִּ֖יםle.'u.MimH3816from afarמֵרָח֑וֹקme.ra.ChokH7350.The Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068calledקְרָאָ֔נִיke.ra.'A.niH7121Me from the wombמִבֶּ֣טֶןmi.Be.tenH990; From thebodyמִמְּעֵ֥יmi.me.'EiH4578of My motherאִמִּ֖י'i.MiH517He namedהִזְכִּ֥יר שְׁמִֽי׃hiz.Kir she.MiH2142 H8034Me.

2He has madeוַיָּ֤שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760Mymouthפִּי֙piH6310like a sharpחַדָּ֔הcha.DahH2299swordכְּחֶ֣רֶבke.Che.revH2719, In theshadowבְּצֵ֥לbe.TzelH6738of His handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027He has concealedהֶחְבִּיאָ֑נִיhech.bi.'A.niH2244Me;And He has also madeוַיְשִׂימֵ֙נִי֙vay.si.Me.niH7760Me aselectבָּר֔וּרba.RurH1305arrowלְחֵ֣ץle.ChetzH2671,He has hiddenהִסְתִּירָֽנִי׃his.ti.Ra.niH5641Me in His quiverבְּאַשְׁפָּת֖וֹbe.'ash.pa.ToH827.

3He saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Me, “You are My Servantעַבְדִּי־'av.di-H5650,Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֕לYis.ra.'ElH3478,In Whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I willshowH6286My gloryאֶתְפָּאָֽר׃'et.pa.'ArH6286.”

4But I saidאָמַ֙רְתִּי֙'a.Mar.tiH559, “I havetoiledיָגַ֔עְתִּיya.Ga'.tiH3021in vainלְרִ֣יקle.RikH7385,I have spentכִלֵּ֑יתִיkhi.Lei.tiH3615My strengthכֹּחִ֣יko.ChiH3581for nothingלְתֹ֥הוּle.To.huH8414and vanityוְהֶ֖בֶלve.He.velH1892;Yet surelyאָכֵן֙'a.KhenH403the justiceמִשְׁפָּטִ֣יmish.pa.TiH4941dueto Me is with the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, And Myrewardוּפְעֻלָּתִ֖יu.fe.'u.la.TiH6468with My Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430.”

5And nowוְעַתָּ֣ה׀ve.'a.TahH6258saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,who formedיֹצְרִ֤יyo.tze.RiH3335Me from the wombמִבֶּ֙טֶן֙mi.Be.tenH990to be His Servantלְעֶ֣בֶדle.'E.vedH5650,To bringלְשׁוֹבֵ֤בle.sho.VevH7725Jacobיַֽעֲקֹב֙ya.'a.KoH3290backH7725to Him, so thatIsraelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478might be gatheredיֵאָסֵ֑ףye.'a.SefH622to Him (For I amhonoredוְאֶכָּבֵד֙ve.'e.ka.VedH3513in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,And My Godוֵאלֹהַ֖יve.lo.HaiH430is Mystrengthעֻזִּֽי׃'u.ZiH5797),

6He saysוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “It is tooH4480smallH7043a thingH7043that You should be My Servantעֶ֔בֶד'E.vedH5650To raiseלְהָקִים֙le.ha.KimH6965up the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290and to restoreלְהָשִׁ֑יבle.ha.ShivH7725thepreservedH5336ones of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478;I will also makeוּנְתַתִּ֙יךָ֙u.ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414You alightלְא֣וֹרle.'orH216of the nationsגּוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471So that My salvationיְשׁוּעָתִ֖יye.shu.'a.TiH3444mayreachH1961to theendקְצֵ֥הke.TzehH7097of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ סha.'A.retzH776.”

8Thusכֹּ֣ה׀kohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, “In afavorableרָצוֹן֙ra.tzOnH7522timeבְּעֵ֤תbe.'EtH6256I have answeredעֲנִיתִ֔יךָ'a.ni.Ti.khaH6030You,And in a dayוּבְי֥וֹםu.ve.YomH3117of salvationיְשׁוּעָ֖הye.shu.'AhH3444I have helpedעֲזַרְתִּ֑יךָ'a.zar.Ti.khaH5826You; And I willkeepוְאֶצָּרְךָ֗ve.'e.tza.re.KhaH5341You andgiveוְאֶתֶּנְךָ֙ve.'e.ten.KhaH5414You for a covenantלִבְרִ֣יתliv.RitH1285of the peopleעָ֔ם'AmH5971, Torestoreלְהָקִ֣יםle.ha.KimH6965the landאֶ֔רֶץ'E.retzH776, to make theminheritלְהַנְחִ֖ילle.han.ChilH5157the desolateשֹׁמֵמֽוֹת׃sho.me.MotH8074heritagesנְחָל֥וֹתne.cha.LotH5159;

9Sayingלֵאמֹ֤רle.MorH559to those who areboundלַֽאֲסוּרִים֙la.'a.su.RimH631, ‘GoH3318forthH3318,’To those whoלַאֲשֶׁ֥רla.'a.SherH834are in darknessבַּחֹ֖שֶׁךְba.Cho.shekhH2822, ‘Showהִגָּל֑וּhi.ga.LuH1540yourselves.’Alongעַל־'al-H5921the roadsדְּרָכִ֣יםde.ra.KhimH1870they will feedיִרְע֔וּyir.'UH7462,And their pastureמַרְעִיתָֽם׃mar.'i.TamH4830will beon allוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3605bareשְׁפָיִ֖יםshe.fa.YimH8205heightsH8205.

10They willnot hungerיִרְעָ֙בוּ֙yir.'A.vuH7456or thirstיִצְמָ֔אוּyitz.Ma.'uH6770,NorH3808will the scorchingH8273heatH8273or sunוָשָׁ֑מֶשׁva.Sha.meshH8121strikeיַכֵּ֥םya.KemH5221them downH5221; ForHe who hasH7355compassionמְרַחֲמָ֣םme.ra.cha.MamH7355on them willleadיְנַהֲגֵ֔םye.na.ha.GemH5090themAnd will guideיְנַהֲלֵֽם׃ye.na.ha.LemH5095them tospringsמַבּ֥וּעֵיma.Bu.'eiH4002of waterמַ֖יִםMa.yimH4325.

11I will makeוְשַׂמְתִּ֥יve.sam.TiH7760allכָל־khol-H3605My mountainsהָרַ֖יha.RaiH2022a roadלַדָּ֑רֶךְla.Da.rekhH1870, And Myhighwaysוּמְסִלֹּתַ֖יu.me.si.lo.TaiH4546will be raisedיְרֻמֽוּן׃ye.ru.MunH7311up.

12Beholdהִנֵּה־hi.neh-H2009,theseאֵ֕לֶּה'E.lehH428will comeיָבֹ֑אוּya.Vo.'uH935from afarמֵרָח֖וֹקme.ra.ChokH7350;And loוְהִֽנֵּה־ve.hi.neh-H2009,theseאֵ֙לֶּה֙'e.lehH428will come from thenorthמִצָּפ֣וֹןmi.tza.FonH6828and from the westוּמִיָּ֔םu.mi.YamH3220,And theseוְאֵ֖לֶּהve.'E.lehH428from the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Sinimסִינִֽים׃si.NimH5515.”

13Shoutרָנּ֤וּra.NuH7442for joyH7442,O heavensשָׁמַ֙יִם֙sha.Ma.yimH8064!And rejoiceוְגִ֣ילִיve.Gi.liH1523,O earthאָ֔רֶץ'A.retzH776!Breakוּפִצְח֥וּvuf.tze.chuH6476forthH6476into joyfulH7440shoutingרִנָּ֑הri.NahH7440,O mountainsהָרִ֖יםha.RimH2022! For theLordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068has comfortedנִחַ֤םni.ChamH5162His peopleעַמּ֔וֹa.MoH5971And willhaveH7355compassionיְרַחֵֽם׃ סye.ra.ChemH7355on His afflictedוַעֲנִיָּ֖וva.'a.ni.YavH6041.

Promise to Zion

14But Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726saidוַתֹּ֥אמֶרva.To.merH559, “The Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068has forsakenעֲזָבַ֣נִי'a.za.Va.niH5800me,And the Lordוַאדֹנָ֖יva.do.NaiH136has forgottenשְׁכֵחָֽנִי׃she.khe.Cha.niH7911me.”

15“Can a womanאִשָּׁה֙'i.ShahH802forgetהֲתִשְׁכַּ֤חha.tish.KachH7911her nursingH5764childעוּלָ֔הּ'u.LahH5764And haveH7355noH4480compassionמֵרַחֵ֖םme.ra.ChemH7355on the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of her wombבִּטְנָ֑הּbit.NahH990?Evenגַּם־gam-H1571theseאֵ֣לֶּה'E.lehH428may forgetתִשְׁכַּ֔חְנָהtish.Kach.nahH7911, butI will not forgetאֶשְׁכָּחֵֽךְ׃'esh.ka.ChekhH7911you.

16Beholdהֵ֥ןhenH2005, I haveinscribedחַקֹּתִ֑יךְcha.ko.TikhH2710you on the palmsכַּפַּ֖יִםka.Pa.yimH3709of My hands; Yourwallsחוֹמֹתַ֥יִךְcho.mo.Ta.yikhH2346are continuallyתָּמִֽיד׃ta.MidH8548beforeנֶגְדִּ֖יneg.DiH5048Me.

17Yourbuildersבָּנָ֑יִךְba.Na.yikhH1121hurryמִֽהֲר֖וּmi.ha.RuH4116; Yourdestroyersמְהָֽרְסַ֥יִךְme.ha.re.Sa.yikhH2040and devastatorsוּמַחֲרִבַ֖יִךְu.ma.cha.ri.Va.yikhH2717Will departיֵצֵֽאוּ׃ye.Tze.'uH3318from you.

18Liftשְׂאִֽי־se.'i-H5375up your eyesעֵינַ֙יִךְ֙'ei.Na.yikhH5869and lookוּרְאִ֔יu.re.'IH7200aroundסָבִ֤יבsa.VivH5439;Allכֻּלָּ֖םku.LamH3605of them gatherנִקְבְּצ֣וּnik.be.TzuH6908together,they comeבָֽאוּ־va.'u-H935to you.As I liveחַי־chai-H2416,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, “You will surelyכִּ֤יkiH3588putתִלְבָּ֔שִׁיtil.Ba.shiH3847on allכֻלָּם֙khu.LamH3605of them asjewelsכָּעֲדִ֣יka.'a.DiH5716and bindוּֽתְקַשְּׁרִ֖יםu.te.ka.she.RimH7194them on as a brideכַּכַּלָּֽה׃ka.ka.LahH3618.

19Foryour wasteחָרְבֹתַ֙יִךְ֙cha.re.vo.Ta.yikhH2723and desolateוְשֹׁ֣מְמֹתַ֔יִךְve.Sho.me.mo.Ta.yikhH8074places and your destroyedהֲרִֽסֻתֵ֑יךְha.ri.su.TeikhH2035landוְאֶ֖רֶץve.'E.retzH776--SurelyH3588nowעַתָּה֙'a.TahH6258you will betooH4480crampedH6887for the inhabitantsמִיּוֹשֵׁ֔בmi.yo.ShevH3427, And those whoswallowedמְבַלְּעָֽיִךְ׃me.va.le.'A.yikhH1104you will be farוְרָחֲק֖וּve.ra.cha.KuH7368away.

20Thechildrenבְּנֵ֖יbe.NeiH1121ofwhom you were bereavedשִׁכֻּלָ֑יִךְshi.ku.La.yikhH7923will yetע֚וֹדodH5750sayיֹאמְר֣וּyo.me.RuH559in your earsבְאָזְנַ֔יִךְve.'a.ze.Na.yikhH241, ‘The placeהַמָּק֖וֹםha.ma.KomH4725is too crampedצַר־tzar-H6862for me;MakeH5066roomH5066for me that I may liveוְאֵשֵֽׁבָה׃ve.'e.She.vahH3427here.’

21Then you willsayוְאָמַ֣רְתְּve.'a.MartH559in your heartבִּלְבָבֵ֗ךְbil.va.VekhH3824, ‘Whoמִ֤יmiH4310has begottenיָֽלַד־ya.lad-H3205theseאֵ֔לֶּה'E.lehH428for me,Since I have beenH7921bereavedH7909of my childrenH7909And ambarrenוְגַלְמוּדָ֑הve.gal.mu.DahH1565, anexileגֹּלָ֣ה׀go.LahH1540and a wandererוְסוּרָ֗הve.su.RahH5493?And whoמִ֣יmiH4310has rearedגִדֵּ֔לgi.DelH1431theseוְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ve.'E.lehH428?Beholdהֵ֤ןhenH2005, I wasleftנִשְׁאַ֣רְתִּיnish.'Ar.tiH7604aloneלְבַדִּ֔יle.va.DiH905;From whereאֵיפֹ֥ה'ei.FohH375did theseאֵ֖לֶּה'E.lehH428come?’”

22Thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saysאָמַ֞ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068, “Beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009,I will liftאֶשָּׂ֤א'e.Sa'H5375up My handיָדִ֔יya.DiH3027to the nationsגּוֹיִם֙go.YimH1471And setאָרִ֣ים'a.RimH7311up Mystandardנִסִּ֑יni.SiH5251to the peoplesעַמִּ֖ים'a.MimH5971; And they willbringוְהֵבִ֤יאוּve.he.Vi.'uH935your sonsבָנַ֙יִךְ֙va.Na.yikhH1121in theirbosomבְּחֹ֔צֶןbe.Cho.tzenH2684,And your daughtersוּבְנֹתַ֖יִךְu.ve.no.Ta.yikhH1323will be carriedתִּנָּשֶֽׂאנָה׃ti.na.Se.nahH5375on theirshouldersכָּתֵ֥ףka.TefH3802.

23Kingsמְלָכִ֜יםme.la.KhimH4428will be your guardiansאֹֽמְנַ֗יִךְ'o.me.Na.yikhH539,And their princessesוְשָׂרֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ve.sa.ro.tei.HemH8282your nursesמֵינִ֣יקֹתַ֔יִךְmei.Ni.ko.Ta.yikhH3243. They willbowיִשְׁתַּ֣חֲווּyish.Ta.cha.vuH7812downH7812to you with their facesאַפַּ֗יִם'a.Pa.yimH639to the earthאֶ֚רֶץ'E.retzH776Andlickיְלַחֵ֑כוּye.la.Che.khuH3897the dustוַעֲפַ֥רva.'a.FarH6083of your feetרַגְלַ֖יִךְrag.La.yikhH7272; And you willknowוְיָדַ֙עַתְּ֙ve.ya.Da.'atH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;Those whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834hopefullyH6960waitקוָֹֽי׃ סko.VaiH6960for Me willnot be putH954to shameH954.

24“Can the preyמַלְק֑וֹחַmal.Ko.achH4455be takenהֲיֻקַּ֥חha.yu.KachH3947from the mightyH1368manH1368,Orוְאִם־ve.'im-H518the captivesשְׁבִ֥יshe.ViH7628ofa tyrant be rescuedיִמָּלֵֽט׃yi.ma.LetH4422?”

25Surelyכִּי־ki-H3588,thusכֹ֣ה׀khohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, “Evenגַּם־gam-H1571thecaptivesשְׁבִ֤יshe.ViH7628of the mightyH1368manH1368will be takenיֻקָּ֔חyu.KachH3947away,And the preyוּמַלְק֥וֹחַu.mal.Ko.achH4455of the tyrantעָרִ֖יץ'a.RitzH6184will be rescuedיִמָּלֵ֑טyi.ma.LetH4422;For I will contendאָרִ֔יב'a.RivH7378with the oneH3401whoH3401contendsH3401with you, And I willsaveאוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃'o.Shi.a'H3467your sonsבָּנַ֖יִךְba.Na.yikhH1121.

26I will feedוְהַאֲכַלְתִּ֤יve.ha.'a.khal.TiH398youroppressorsמוֹנַ֙יִךְ֙mo.Na.yikhH3238with theirown fleshבְּשָׂרָ֔םbe.sa.RamH1320,And they will becomeיִשְׁכָּר֑וּןyish.ka.RunH7937drunkH7937with their own bloodדָּמָ֣םda.MamH1818as with sweetוְכֶעָסִ֖יסve.khe.'a.SisH6071wineH6071; Andallכָל־khol-H3605fleshבָּשָׂ֗רba.SarH1320will knowוְיָדְע֣וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I, the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068, am yourSaviorמֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֔ךְmo.shi.'EkhH3467And yourRedeemerוְגֹאֲלֵ֖ךְve.go.'a.LekhH1350,the Mightyאֲבִ֥יר'a.VirH46OneH46of Jacobיַעֲקֹֽב׃ סya.'a.KoH3290.”
