14The deadמֵתִים֙me.TimH4191will notבַּל־bal-H1077liveיִחְי֔וּyich.YuH2421;the departed spiritsרְפָאִ֖יםre.fa.'ImH7496will notבַּל־bal-H1077riseיָקֻ֑מוּya.Ku.muH6965.Thereforeלָכֵ֤ןla.KhenH3651You have punishedפָּקַ֙דְתָּ֙pa.Kad.taH6485and destroyed themוַתַּשְׁמִידֵ֔םva.tash.mi.DemH8045;You have wiped outוַתְּאַבֵּ֥דva.te.'a.BedH6allכָּל־kol-H3605memoryזֵ֖כֶרZe.kherH2143of them.

15You have enlargedיָסַ֤פְתָּya.Saf.taH3254the nationלַגּוֹי֙la.goyH1471,O LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;You have enlargedיָסַ֥פְתָּya.Saf.taH3254the nationלַגּ֖וֹיla.GoyH1471.You have gained glory for Yourselfנִכְבָּ֑דְתָּnikh.Ba.de.taH3513;You have extendedרִחַ֖קְתָּri.Chak.taH7368allכָּל־kol-H3605the bordersקַצְוֵי־katz.vei-H7099of the landאָֽרֶץ׃'A.retzH776.

16O LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,they sought Youפְּקָד֑וּךָpe.ka.Du.chaH6485in their distressבַּצַּ֣רba.TzarH6862;when You disciplined themמוּסָרְךָ֖mu.sa.re.KhaH4148,they poured outצָק֣וּןtza.KunH6694a quiet prayerלַ֔חַשׁLa.chashH3908.

17Asכְּמ֤וֹke.MoH3644a woman with childהָרָה֙ha.RahH2030aboutתַּקְרִ֣יבtak.RivH7126to give birthלָלֶ֔דֶתla.Le.detH3205writhesתָּחִ֥ילta.ChilH2342and cries outתִּזְעַ֖קtiz.'AkH2199in painבַּחֲבָלֶ֑יהָba.cha.va.Lei.haH2256,soכֵּ֛ןkenH3651were weהָיִ֥ינוּha.Yi.nuH1961in Your presenceמִפָּנֶ֖יךָmi.pa.Nei.khaH6440,O LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

18We were with childהָרִ֣ינוּha.Ri.nuH2029;we writhed in painחַ֔לְנוּChal.nuH2342;butכְּמ֖וֹke.MoH3644we gave birth toיָלַ֣דְנוּya.Lad.nuH3205windר֑וּחַRu.achH7307.We have givenנַ֣עֲשֶׂהNa.'a.sehH6213noבַּל־bal-H1077salvationיְשׁוּעֹת֙ye.shu.'OtH3444to the earthאֶ֔רֶץ'E.retzH776,norוּבַֽל־u.val-H1077broughtיִפְּל֖וּyi.pe.LuH5307any lifeיֹשְׁבֵ֥יyo.she.VeiH3427into the worldתֵבֵֽל׃te.VelH8398.
