13When Athaliahעֲתַלְיָ֔ה'a.tal.YahH6271אֶת־'et-H853heardוַתִּשְׁמַ֣עva.tish.Ma'H8085the noiseק֥וֹלKolH6963from the guardsהָֽרָצִ֖יןha.ra.TzinH7323andthe peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971,she went outוַתָּבֹ֥אva.ta.Vo'H935toאֶל־'el-H413the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971in the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

14And she looked outוַתֵּ֡רֶאva.Te.re'H7200and sawוְהִנֵּ֣הve.hi.NehH2009the kingהַמֶּלֶךְ֩ha.me.leKhH4428standingעֹמֵ֨ד'o.MedH5975byעַֽל־'al-H5921the pillarהָעַמּ֜וּדha.'a.MudH5982,according to the customכַּמִּשְׁפָּ֗טka.mish.PatH4941.The officersוְהַשָּׂרִ֤יםve.ha.sa.RimH8269and trumpetersוְהַחֲצֹֽצְרוֹת֙ve.ha.cha.tzo.tze.rOtH2689were besideאֶל־'el-H413the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the peopleעַ֤ם'amH5971of the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776were rejoicingשָׂמֵ֔חַsa.Me.achH8056and blowingוְתֹקֵ֖עַve.to.Ke.a'H8628trumpetsבַּחֲצֹֽצְר֑וֹתba.cha.tzo.tze.RotH2689.Then Athaliahעֲתַלְיָה֙'a.tal.YahH6271אֶת־'et-H853toreוַתִּקְרַ֤עva.tik.Ra'H7167her clothesבְּגָדֶ֔יהָbe.ga.Dei.haH899and screamedוַתִּקְרָ֖אva.tik.Ra'H7121, “Treasonקֶ֥שֶׁרKe.sherH7195!Treasonקָֽשֶׁר׃ סKa.sherH7195!”

15And Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֨עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestהַכֹּהֵ֜ןha.ko.HenH3548אֶת־'et-H853orderedוַיְצַו֩vay.TzavH6680the commandersשָׂרֵ֥יsa.ReiH8269of hundredsהַמֵּא֣וֹתha.mei.'otH3967in charge ofפְּקֻדֵ֣יpe.ku.DeiH6485the armyהַחַ֗יִלha.Cha.yilH2428וַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559אֲלֵיהֶם֙'a.lei.HemH413, “Bring her outהוֹצִ֤יאוּho.Tzi.'uH3318אֹתָהּ֙'o.TahH853אֶל־'el-H413מִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004between the ranksלַשְּׂדֵרֹ֔תla.se.de.RotH7713,and put toהָמֵ֣תha.MetH4191the swordבֶּחָ֑רֶבbe.Cha.revH2719anyone who followsוְהַבָּ֥אve.ha.Ba'H935herאַחֲרֶ֖יהָ'a.cha.Rei.haH310.”Forכִּ֚יkiH3588the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548had saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559, “She must notאַל־'al-H408be put to deathתּוּמַ֖תtu.MatH4191in the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.”

16So they seizedוַיָּשִׂ֤מוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760Athaliahיָדַ֔יִםya.Da.yimH3027as she reachedוַתָּב֛וֹא דֶּֽרֶךְ־va.ta.Vo' de.rekh-H935 H1870the horsesהַסּוּסִ֖יםha.su.SimH5483’entranceמְב֥וֹאme.Vo'H3996to the palace groundsבֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֑לֶךְbeit ha.Me.lekhH4428 H1004,and thereשָֽׁם׃ סShamH8033she was put to deathוַתּוּמַ֖תva.tu.MatH4191.

17Then Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֜עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077אֶֽת־'et-H853madeוַיִּכְרֹ֨תvai.yikh.RotH3772a covenantהַבְּרִ֗יתha.be.RitH1285betweenבֵּ֤יןbeinH996the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068andוּבֵ֤יןu.VeinH996the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ וּבֵ֣יןha.Me.lekh u.VeinH4428 H996and the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971that they would beלִהְי֥וֹתlih.YotH1961the LORD’sלַֽיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068peopleלְעָ֖םle.'AmH5971.He also made a covenant betweenוּבֵ֥יןu.VeinH996the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428andוּבֵ֥יןu.VeinH996the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971.

18So allכָל־khol-H3605the peopleעַם֩'amH5971of the landהָאָ֨רֶץha.'A.retzH776wentוַיָּבֹ֣אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to the templeבֵּית־beit-H1004of Baalהַבַּ֜עַלha.Ba.'alH1168and tore it downוַֽיִּתְּצֻ֗הוּvai.yi.te.Tzu.huH5422אֶת־'et-H853.They smashed the altarsמִזְבְּחֹתָ֤יוmiz.be.cho.tovH4196וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and idolsצְלָמָיו֙tze.la.MavH6754to piecesשִׁבְּר֣וּ הֵיטֵ֔בshi.be.Ru hei.TevH7665 H3190וְאֵ֗תve.'EtH853,and they killedהָרְג֖וּha.re.GuH2026Mattanמַתָּן֙ma.TanH4977the priestכֹּהֵ֣ןko.HenH3548of Baalהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168in front ofלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the altarsהַֽמִּזְבְּח֑וֹתha.miz.be.ChotH4196.And Jehoiada the priestהַכֹּהֵ֛ןha.ko.HenH3548postedוַיָּ֧שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760guardsפְּקֻדּ֖וֹתpe.ku.DotH6486forעַל־'al-H5921the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

19He took with himוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947אֶת־'et-H853the commandersשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of hundredsהַ֠מֵּאוֹתHa.me.'otH3967וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,the Caritesהַכָּרִ֨יha.ka.RiH3746וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,the guardsהָרָצִ֜יםha.ra.TzimH7323וְאֵ֣ת׀ve.'EtH853,and allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleעַ֣ם'amH5971of the landהָאָ֗רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and they broughtוַיֹּרִ֤ידוּvai.yo.Ri.duH3381אֶת־'et-H853the king downהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428from the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068and enteredוַיָּב֛וֹאוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935the royalהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428palaceבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004by wayדֶּֽרֶך־de.rekh-H1870of the Gateשַׁ֥עַרSha.'arH8179of the Guardsהָרָצִ֖יםha.ra.TzimH7323.Then Joash took his seatוַיֵּ֖שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427onעַל־'al-H5921the royalהַמְּלָכִֽים׃ha.me.la.KhimH4428throneכִּסֵּ֥אki.Se'H3678,

20and allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleעַם־'am-H5971of the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776rejoicedוַיִּשְׂמַ֥חvai.yis.MachH8055.And the cityוְהָעִ֣ירve.ha.'IrH5892was quietשָׁקָ֑טָהsha.Ka.tahH8252וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,because Athaliahעֲתַלְיָ֛הוּ'a.tal.Ya.huH6271had been put toהֵמִ֥יתוּhe.Mi.tuH4191the swordבַחֶ֖רֶבva.Che.revH2719at the royalהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ סha.Me.lekhH4428palaceבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004.
