2And JoashH3060didוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213what wasrightהַיָּשָׁ֛רhai.ya.SharH3477in the eyesבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068allכָּל־kol-H3605the daysיָמָ֑יוya.MavH3117אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he was instructedהוֹרָ֔הוּho.Ra.huH3384by Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֖עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestהַכֹּהֵֽן׃ha.ko.HenH3548.

3Neverthelessרַ֥קrakH7535,the high placesהַבָּמ֖וֹתha.ba.MotH1116were notלֹא־lo'-H3808removedסָ֑רוּSa.ruH5493;the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971continuedע֥וֹדodH5750sacrificingמְזַבְּחִ֥יםme.za.be.ChimH2076and burning incenseוּֽמְקַטְּרִ֖יםu.me.ka.te.RimH6999thereבַּבָּמֽוֹת׃ba.ba.MotH1116.

5Let everyמֵאֵ֣תme.'EtH376 H854priestH3548receiveיִקְח֤וּyik.ChuH3947itfrom his constituencyמַכָּר֑וֹma.ka.RoH4378,and let it be usedוְהֵ֗םve.HemH1992to repairיְחַזְּקוּ֙ye.cha.ze.KuH2388אֶת־'et-H853any damageH3605 H834 H919foundיִמָּצֵ֥אyi.ma.Tze'H4672in the templeשָׁ֖םshamH1004 H8033.”

6By the twenty-thirdבִּשְׁנַ֨ת עֶשְׂרִ֧ים וְשָׁלֹ֛שׁbish.Nat 'es.Rim ve.sha.LoshH6242 H7969 H8141yearשָׁנָ֖הsha.NahH8141of the reignלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428of Joashיְהוֹאָ֑שׁye.ho.'AshH3060,howeverוַיְהִ֗יvay.HiH1961,the priestsH3548H853had not yetלֹֽא־lo'-H3808repairedH2388the damageH919to the templeH1004.

7So KingH4428JoashH3060calledוַיִּקְרָא֩vai.yik.Ra'H7121Jehoiadaלִיהוֹיָדָ֤עli.ho.ya.Da'H3077H3548and the other priestsH3548and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֔םvai.Yo.mer 'a.le.HemH559 H413, “Whyמַדּ֛וּעַma.Du.a'H4069have you notאֵינְכֶ֥ם'ein.KhemH369repairedH2388H853the damageH919to the templeH1004?Now, thereforeוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258,takeתִּקְחוּ־tik.chu-H3947no moreאַל־'al-H408moneyכֶ֙סֶף֙khe.sefH3701fromמֵאֵ֣תme.'EtH854your constituencyמַכָּֽרֵיכֶ֔םma.ka.rei.KhemH4378,butכִּֽי־ki-H3588hand it overתִּתְּנֻֽהוּ׃ti.te.Nu.huH5414for the repairH919of the templeH1004.”

8So the priestsH3548agreedוַיֵּאֹ֖תוּvai.ye.'O.tuH225that they would notלְבִלְתִּ֤יle.vil.TiH1115receiveH3947moneyH3701fromH854the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971and that they would notוּלְבִלְתִּ֥יu.le.vil.TiH1115repairH2388the temple themselvesH853 H919 H1004.

10וַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961Whenever they sawכִּרְאוֹתָ֔םkir.'o.TamH7200thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588there wasa large amountרַ֥בravH7227of moneyH3701in the chestH727,the royalהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428scribeסֹפֵ֤רso.FerH5608and the highהַגָּד֔וֹלha.ga.DolH1419priestH3548would go upוַיַּ֨עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927,countוַיִּמְנ֔וּvai.yim.NuH4487H853the moneyH3701broughtהַנִּמְצָ֥אha.nim.Tza'H4672into the houseH1004of the LORDH3068,and tie it up in bagsוַיָּצֻ֙רוּ֙vai.ya.Tzu.ruH6696.

13Howeverאַךְ֩'aKhH389מִן־min-H4480,the moneyכֶּ֙סֶף֙ke.sefH3701broughtהַמּוּבָ֥אha.mu.Va'H935into the houseH1004of the LORDH3068was notלֹ֨אlo'H3808used formakingיֵעָשֶׂ֜הye.'a.SehH6213silverכָ֑סֶףKha.sefH3701basinsסִפּ֥וֹתsi.PotH5592,wick trimmersמְזַמְּר֤וֹתme.za.me.RotH4212,sprinkling bowlsמִזְרָקוֹת֙miz.ra.kOtH4219,trumpetsחֲצֹ֣צְר֔וֹתcha.Tzo.tze.RotH2689,or anyH3605articlesכְּלִ֥יke.LiH3627of goldזָהָ֖ב וּכְלִי־za.Hav u.khe.li-H2091 H3627or silverהַכֶּ֖סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701for the houseH1004of the LORDH3068.

14Insteadכִּֽי־ki-H3588,it was paidיִתְּנֻ֑הוּyi.te.Nu.huH5414to those doingH6213the workהַמְּלָאכָ֖הha.me.la.KhahH4399, and with itthey repairedוְחִזְּקוּ־ve.chi.ze.ku-H2388אֶת־'et-H853the houseH1004of the LORDH3068.

15Noוְלֹ֧אve.Lo'H3808accounting was requiredיְחַשְּׁב֣וּ אֶת־ye.cha.she.Vu 'et-H2803 H854from the menH376whoאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834received the moneyהַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ עַל־ יָדָ֔םha.Ke.sef 'al- ya.DamH3701 H5921 H3027 H5414to payH5414H853the workmenH6213 H4399,becauseH3588theyהֵ֥םhemH1992actedH6213with integrityבֶאֱמֻנָ֖הve.'e.mu.NahH530.

16The moneyH3701from the guilt offeringsאָשָׁם֙'a.ShamH817 H3701and sin offeringsחַטָּא֔וֹתcha.ta.'otH2403was notH3808broughtיוּבָ֖אyu.Va'H935into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;it belonged toיִהְיֽוּ׃ פyih.YuH1961the priestsלַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםla.ko.ha.NimH3548.
