3sinceכִּ֣יkiH3588they had been unableלֹ֧א יָכְל֛וּlo' ya.khe.LuH3808H3201to keep itלַעֲשֹׂת֖וֹla.'a.so.ToH6213at the regularהַהִ֑יא כִּ֤יha.Hi' kiH1931H3588timeבָּעֵ֣תba.'EtH6256,because notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808enoughלְמַדַּ֔יle.ma.DaiH4100priestsהַכֹּהֲנִים֙ha.ko.ha.NimH3548had consecrated themselvesהִתְקַדְּשׁ֣וּhit.ka.de.ShuH6942and the peopleוְהָעָ֖םve.ha.'AmH5971had notלֹא־lo'-H3808been gatheredנֶאֶסְפ֥וּne.'es.FuH622in Jerusalemלִֽירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃Li.ru.sha.LimH3389.

8Nowעַתָּ֕ה'a.TahH6258do notאַל־'al-H408stiffenתַּקְשׁ֥וּtak.ShuH7185your necksעָרְפְּכֶ֖ם'a.re.pe.KhemH6203as your fathersכַּאֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֑םka.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1did.Submitתְּנוּ־ יָ֣דte.nu- yadH5414H3027to the LORDלַיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068and comeוּבֹ֤אוּu.Vo.'uH935to His sanctuaryלְמִקְדָּשׁוֹ֙le.mik.da.ShoH4720,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834He has consecratedהִקְדִּ֣ישׁhik.DishH6942foreverלְעוֹלָ֔םle.'o.LamH5769.Serveוְעִבְדוּ֙ve.'iv.DuH5647אֶת־'et-H853the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,so that His fierce angerחֲר֥וֹן אַפּֽוֹ׃cha.Ron 'a.PoH2740H639will turn awayוְיָשֹׁ֥בve.ya.ShoH7725from you.
9Forכִּ֣יkiH3588if you returnבְשׁוּבְכֶ֞םve.shu.ve.KhemH7725toעַל־'al-H5921the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,your brothersאֲחֵיכֶ֨ם'a.chei.KhemH251and sonsוּבְנֵיכֶ֤םu.ve.nei.KhemH1121will receive mercyלְרַחֲמִים֙le.ra.cha.MimH7356in the presenceלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440of their captorsשֽׁוֹבֵיהֶ֔םshoei.HemH7617and will returnוְלָשׁ֖וּבve.la.ShuvH7725to thisהַזֹּ֑אתha.ZotH2063landלָאָ֣רֶץla.'A.retzH776.Forכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430is graciousחַנּ֤וּןcha.NunH2587and mercifulוְרַחוּם֙ve.ra.ChumH7349;He will notוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808turn His faceפָּנִים֙pa.NimH6440awayיָסִ֤ירya.SirH5493from youifאִם־'im-H518you returnתָּשׁ֖וּבוּta.Shu.vuH7725to Himאֵלָֽיו׃ פ'e.LavH413.”
10Andוַיִּֽהְי֨וּvai.yih.YuH1961the couriersהָרָצִ֜יםha.ra.TzimH7323traveledעֹבְרִ֨ים'oe.RimH5674from cityמֵעִ֧יר׀me.'IrH5892to cityלָעִ֛ירla.'IrH5892through the landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776of Ephraimאֶפְרַ֥יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669and Manassehוּמְנַשֶּׁ֖הu.me.na.ShehH4519asוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704far as Zebulunזְבֻל֑וּן וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ze.vu.Lun vai.yih.YuH2074H1961,but the people scornedמַשְׂחִיקִ֣ים עֲלֵיהֶ֔םmas.chi.Kim 'a.lei.HemH7832H5921and mockedוּמַלְעִגִ֖יםu.mal.'i.GimH3932them.
