Matthew 6:1-5

1TakeG4337 heed that ye do not your righteousnessG1343 before menG444, to be seenG2300 of them: else ye have no rewardG3408 with your FatherG3962 who is in heavenG3772.

2WhenG3752 thereforeG3767 thou doest almsG1654, soundG4537 not a trumpetG4537 before thee, as the hypocritesG5273 do in the synagoguesG4864 and in the streetsG4505, that they may have glory of menG444. Verily I sayG3004 unto you, They have received their rewardG3408. 3But when thou doest almsG1654, let not thy left handG1188 knowG1097 what thy rightG1188 handG1188 doeth: 4that thine almsG1654 may beG1510 in secretG2927: and thy FatherG3962 who seeth in secretG2927 shall recompense thee.

5And whenG3752 ye prayG4336, ye shall not beG1510 as the hypocritesG5273: for they loveG5368 to standG2476 and prayG4336 in the synagoguesG4864 and in the cornersG1137 of the streetsG4116, that they may beG1510 seen of menG444. Verily I sayG3004 unto you, They have received their rewardG3408.
