Joshua 21:1-19

1Then came near the headsH7218 of fathers’H1housesof the LevitesH3881 unto EleazarH499 the priestH3548, and unto JoshuaH3091 the sonH1121 of NunH5126, and unto the headsH7218 of fathers’H1 houses of the tribesH4294 of the children of IsraelH3478; 2and they spake unto them at ShilohH7887 in the landH776 of CanaanH3667, sayingH559, Jehovah commandedH6680 by MosesH4872 to giveH5414 us citiesH5892 to dwellH3427 in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattleH929. 3And the children of IsraelH3478 gaveH5414 unto the LevitesH3881 out of their inheritanceH5159, according to the commandment of Jehovah, these citiesH5892 with their suburbs.

4And the lotH1486 came out for the familiesH4940 of the KohathitesH6956: and the children of AaronH175 the priestH3548, who wereH1961 of the LevitesH3881, had by lotH1486 out of the tribeH4294 of JudahH3063, and out of the tribeH4294 of the Simeonites, and out of the tribeH4294 of BenjaminH1144, thirteen citiesH5892.

5And the rest of the children of KohathH6955 had by lotH1486 out of the familiesH4940 of the tribeH4294 of EphraimH669, and out of the tribeH4294 of DanH1835, and out of the half-tribe of ManassehH4519, tenH6235 citiesH5892.

6And the children of GershonH1648 had by lotH1486 out of the familiesH4940 of the tribeH4294 of IssacharH3485, and out of the tribeH4294 of AsherH836, and out of the tribeH4294 of NaphtaliH5321, and out of the half-tribe of ManassehH4519 in BashanH1316, thirteen citiesH5892.

7The children of MerariH4847 according to their familiesH4940 had out of the tribeH4294 of ReubenH7205, and out of the tribeH4294 of GadH1410, and out of the tribeH4294 of ZebulunH2074, twelve citiesH5892.

8And the children of IsraelH3478 gaveH5414 by lotH1486 unto the LevitesH3881 these citiesH5892 with their suburbs, as Jehovah commandedH6680 by MosesH4872. 9And they gaveH5414 out of the tribeH4294 of the children of JudahH3063, and out of the tribeH4294 of the children of SimeonH8095, these citiesH5892 which are here mentioned by nameH8034: 10and they wereH1961 for the children of AaronH175, of the familiesH4940 of the KohathitesH6956, who wereH1961 of the children of LeviH3878; for theirs wasH1961 the firstH7223 lotH1486. 11And they gaveH5414 them Kiriath-arbaH7153, which Arba was the fatherH1 of AnakH6061 (the same is HebronH2275), in the hill-country of JudahH3063, with the suburbs thereof roundH5439 about it. 12But the fieldsH7704 of the cityH5892, and the villages thereof, gaveH5414 they to CalebH3612 the sonH1121 of JephunnehH3312 for his possessionH272.

13And unto the children of AaronH175 the priestH3548 they gaveH5414 HebronH2275 with its suburbs, the cityH5892 of refugeH4733 for the manslayer, and LibnahH3841 with its suburbs, 14and JattirH3492 with its suburbs, and EshtemoaH851 with its suburbs, 15and HolonH2473 with its suburbs, and DebirH1688 with its suburbs, 16and AinH5871 with its suburbs, and JuttahH3194 with its suburbs, and Beth-shemeshH1053 with its suburbs; nineH8672 citiesH5892 out of those twoH8147 tribesH7626. 17And out of the tribeH4294 of BenjaminH1144, GibeonH1391 with its suburbs, GebaH1387 with its suburbs, 18AnathothH6068 with its suburbs, and Almon with its suburbs; fourH702 citiesH5892. 19All the citiesH5892 of the children of AaronH175, the priestsH3548, were thirteen citiesH5892 with their suburbs.
