1And the whole congregationH5712 of the children of IsraelH3478 assembledH6950 themselves togetherH6950 at ShilohH7887, and set up the tentH168 of meetingH4150 there: and the landH776 was subduedH3533 before them. 2And there remainedH3498 among the children of IsraelH3478 sevenH7651 tribesH7626, which had not yet dividedH2505 their inheritanceH5159. 3And JoshuaH3091 saidH559 unto the children of IsraelH3478, How long are ye slackH7503 to goH935 in to possessH3423 the landH776, which Jehovah, the GodH430 of your fathersH1, hath givenH5414 you? 4Appoint for you threeH7969 menH376 of each tribeH7626: and I will sendH7971 them, and they shall ariseH6965, and walkH1980 through the landH776, and describeH3789 it according to their inheritanceH5159; and they shall comeH935 unto me. 5And they shall divideH2505 it into sevenH7651 portionsH2506: JudahH3063 shall abide in his borderH1366 on the southH5045, and the houseH1004 of JosephH3130 shall abide in their borderH1366 on the northH6828. 6And ye shall describeH3789 the landH776 into sevenH7651 portionsH2506, and bringH935 the description hither to me; and I will cast lotsH1486 for you hereH6311 before Jehovah our GodH430. 7For the LevitesH3881 have no portionH2506 among you; for the priesthoodH3550 of Jehovah is their inheritanceH5159: and GadH1410 and ReubenH7205 and the half-tribe of ManassehH4519 have receivedH3947 their inheritanceH5159 beyond the JordanH3383 eastward, which MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of Jehovah gaveH5414 them.

8And the menH376 aroseH6965, and wentH1980: and JoshuaH3091 charged them that wentH1980 to describeH3789 the landH776, sayingH559, GoH1980 and walkH1980 through the landH776, and describeH3789 it, and comeH1980 again to me; and I will castH7993 lotsH1486 for you hereH6311 before Jehovah in ShilohH7887. 9And the menH376 wentH935 and passedH5674 through the landH776, and describedH3789 it by citiesH5892 into sevenH7651 portionsH2506 in a bookH5612; and they cameH935 to JoshuaH3091 unto the campH4264 at ShilohH7887. 10And JoshuaH3091 castH7993 lotsH1486 for them in ShilohH7887 before Jehovah: and there JoshuaH3091 dividedH2505 the landH776 unto the children of IsraelH3478 according to their divisionsH4256.

11And the lotH1486 of the tribeH4294 of the children of BenjaminH1144 cameH3318 up according to their familiesH4940: and the borderH1366 of their lotH1486 wentH3318 out between the children of JudahH3063 and the children of JosephH3130. 12And their borderH1366 on the northH6828 quarter wasH1961 from the JordanH3383; and the borderH1366 wentH5927 up to the sideH6285 of JerichoH3405 on the northH6828, and wentH5927 up through the hill-country westward; and the goings out thereof wereH1961 at the wildernessH4057 of Beth-aven. 13And the borderH1366 passedH5674 along from thence to LuzH3870, to the sideH3802 of LuzH3870 (the same is Beth-el), southward; and the borderH1366 wentH3381 downH3381 to Ataroth-addarH5853, by the mountainH2022 that lieth on the southH5045 of Beth-horonH1032 the nether. 14And the borderH1366 extended thence, and turnedH5437 about on the westH3220 quarter southward, from the mountainH2022 that lieth before Beth-horonH1032 southward; and the goings out thereof were at Kiriath-baalH7154 (the same is Kiriath-jearimH7157), a cityH5892 of the children of JudahH3063: this wasH1961 the westH3220 quarter. 15And the southH5045 quarter was from the uttermost part of Kiriath-jearimH7157; and the borderH1366 wentH3318 out westward, and wentH3318 out to the fountain of the watersH4325 of NephtoahH5318; 16and the borderH1366 wentH3381 downH3381 to the uttermost part of the mountainH2022 that lieth before the valleyH6010 of the sonH1121 of HinnomH2011, which is in the vale of RephaimH7497 northward; and it wentH3381 downH3381 to the valleyH6010 of HinnomH2011, to the sideH3802 of the JebusiteH2983 southward, and wentH3381 downH3381 to En-rogelH5883; 17and it extended northward, and wentH3318 out at En-shemeshH5885, and wentH3318 out to Geliloth, which is over against the ascentH4608 of AdummimH131; and it wentH3318 downH3381 to the stoneH68 of BohanH932 the sonH1121 of ReubenH7205; 18and it passedH5674 along to the sideH3802 over against the ArabahH6160 northward, and wentH3381 downH3381 unto the ArabahH6160; 19and the borderH1366 passedH5674 along to the sideH3802 of Beth-hoglahH1031 northward; and the goings out of the borderH1366 wereH1961 at the northH6828 bayH3956 of the SaltH4417 SeaH3220, at the southH5045 endH7097 of the JordanH3383: this wasH1961 the southH5045 borderH1366. 20And the JordanH3383 was the borderH1379 of it on the eastH6924 quarter. This was the inheritanceH5159 of the children of BenjaminH1144, by the bordersH1367 thereof roundH5439 about, according to their familiesH4940.

21Now the citiesH5892 of the tribeH4294 of the children of BenjaminH1144 according to their familiesH4940 wereH1961 JerichoH3405, and Beth-hoglahH1031, and Emek-keziz, 22and Beth-arabahH1026, and ZemaraimH6787, and Beth-el, 23and Avvim, and Parah, and OphrahH6084, 24and Chephar-ammoni, and Ophni, and GebaH1387; twelve citiesH5892 with their villages: 25GibeonH1391, and RamahH7414, and BeerothH881, 26and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah, 27and RekemH7552, and Irpeel, and Taralah, 28and Zelah, Eleph, and the JebusiteH2983 (the same is JerusalemH3389), Gibeath, and KiriathH7157; fourteen citiesH5892 with their villages. This is the inheritanceH5159 of the children of BenjaminH1144 according to their familiesH4940.
