Exodus 1:9-14
9And he saidH559 unto his peopleH5971, Behold, the peopleH5971 of the children of IsraelH3478 are moreH4480 and mightierH6099 than we: 10come, let us deal wiselyH2449 with them, lestH6435 they multiplyH7235, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any warH4421, they alsoH1571 join themselves unto our enemies, and fightH3898 against us, and get them up out of the landH776. 11Therefore they did setH7760 over them taskmasters to afflictH6031 them with their burdens. And they builtH1129 for PharaohH6547 store-cities, Pithom and Raamses. 12But the more they afflicted them, the more they multipliedH7235 and the more they spreadH6555 abroad. And they were grieved because of the children of IsraelH3478. 13And the EgyptiansH4713 made the children of IsraelH3478 to serveH5647 with rigor: 14and they made their livesH2416 bitterH4843 with hardH7186 serviceH5656, in mortar and in brickH3843, and in all manner of serviceH5656 in the fieldH7704, all their serviceH5656, wherein they made them serveH5647 with rigor.
