Ephesians 5:22-33
22WivesG1135, be in subjection unto your ownG2398 husbandsG435, as unto the LordG2962. 23For the husbandG435 isG1510 the headG2776 of the wifeG1135, as ChristG5547 alsoG2532 isG1510 the headG2776 of the churchG1577, beingG1510 himself the saviour of the bodyG4983. 24But as the churchG1577 is subjectG5293 to ChristG5547, so let the wivesG1135 alsoG2532 be to their husbandsG435 in everythingG3956. 25HusbandsG435, loveG25 your wivesG1135, evenG2532 as ChristG5547 alsoG2532 lovedG25 the churchG1577, and gave himself up for it; 26that he might sanctifyG37 it, having cleansedG2511 it by the washingG3067 of waterG5204 with the word, 27that he might presentG3936 the churchG1577 to himself a glorious churchG1577, not having spot or wrinkle or any suchG5108 thing; but that it should beG1510 holyG40 and without blemish. 28EvenG2532 so oughtG3784 husbandsG435 alsoG2532 to loveG25 their ownG1438 wivesG1135 as their ownG1438 bodiesG4983. He that loveth his ownG1438 wifeG1135 loveth himself: 29for no man everG4218 hatedG3404 his ownG1438 fleshG4561; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, evenG2532 as ChristG5547 alsoG2532 the churchG1577; 30because we areG1510 membersG3196 of his bodyG4983. 31For this cause shall a manG444 leaveG2641 his fatherG3962 and motherG3384, and shall cleave to his wifeG1135; and the twoG1417 shall become oneG1520 fleshG4561. 32This mysteryG3466 isG1510 greatG3173: but I speakG3004 in regard of ChristG5547 and of the churchG1577. 33NeverthelessG4133 do ye alsoG2532 severally loveG25 each oneG1520 his ownG1438 wifeG1135 evenG2532 as himself; and let the wifeG1135 see that she fearG5399 her husbandG435.
