40I willbringאֽוֹרִידֵ֖ם'o.ri.DemH3381themdownH3381likelambsכְּכָרִ֣יםke.kha.RimH3733to theslaughterלִטְב֑וֹחַlit.Vo.achH2873, likeramsכְּאֵילִ֖יםke.'ei.LimH352with he-goats.

41Howאֵ֚יךְ'eikhH349isSheshachשֵׁשַׁ֔ךְshe.ShakhH8347takenנִלְכְּדָ֣הnil.ke.DahH3920! and thepraiseתְּהִלַּ֣תte.hi.LatH8416of thewholeכָּל־kol-H3605earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776surprised!howאֵ֣יךְ'eikhH349isBabylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894becomeהָיְתָ֧הha.ye.TahH1961adesolationלְשַׁמָּ֛הle.sha.MahH8047among thenationsבַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ba.go.YimH1471!

42Theseaהַיָּ֑םhai.YamH3220iscomeH5927upH5927uponעַל־'al-H5921Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894: she iscoveredנִכְסָֽתָה׃nikh.Sa.tahH3680with themultitudeבַּהֲמ֥וֹןba.ha.MonH1995of thewavesגַּלָּ֖יוga.LavH1530thereof.

46And letnotוּפֶן־u.fen-H6435yourheartלְבַבְכֶם֙le.vav.KhemH3824faintיֵרַ֤ךְye.RakhH7401, neitherfearוְתִֽירְא֔וּve.ti.re.'UH3372ye for the rumour that shall beheardהַנִּשְׁמַ֣עַתha.nish.Ma.'atH8085in thelandבָּאָ֑רֶץba.'A.retzH776; for a rumour shallcomeוּבָ֧אu.Va'H935oneyearבַשָּׁנָ֣הva.sha.NahH8141, andafterוְאַחֲרָ֤יוve.'a.cha.RavH310that inanotherH8052yearבַּשָּׁנָה֙ba.sha.NahH8141shallcomeH935a rumour, andviolenceוְחָמָ֣סve.cha.MasH2555in thelandבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776,rulerוּמֹשֵׁ֖לu.mo.ShelH4910againstעַל־'al-H5921rulerמֹשֵֽׁל׃mo.ShelH4910.
