40I will bring them downאֽוֹרִידֵ֖ם'o.ri.DemH3381like lambsכְּכָרִ֣יםke.kha.RimH3733to the slaughterלִטְב֑וֹחַlit.Vo.achH2873,like ramsכְּאֵילִ֖יםke.'ei.LimH352with he goatsעַתּוּדִֽים׃'a.tu.DimH6260.

41How is Sheshachשֵׁשַׁ֔ךְshe.ShakhH8347takenנִלְכְּדָ֣הnil.ke.DahH3920!and how is the praiseתְּהִלַּ֣תte.hi.LatH8416of the whole earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776surprisedוַתִּתָּפֵ֖שׂva.ti.ta.FesH8610!how is Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894become an astonishmentלְשַׁמָּ֛הle.sha.MahH8047among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ba.go.YimH1471!

42The seaהַיָּ֑םhai.YamH3220is come upעָלָ֥ה'a.LahH5927upon Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894:she is coveredנִכְסָֽתָה׃nikh.Sa.tahH3680with the multitudeבַּהֲמ֥וֹןba.ha.MonH1995of the wavesגַּלָּ֖יוga.LavH1530thereof.

43Her citiesעָרֶ֙יהָ֙'a.Rei.haH5892are a desolationלְשַׁמָּ֔הle.sha.MahH8047,a dryצִיָּ֣הtzi.YahH6723landאֶ֖רֶץ'E.retzH776,and a wildernessוַעֲרָבָ֑הva.'a.ra.VahH6160,a landאֶ֗רֶץ'E.retzH776wherein no manאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376dwellethיֵשֵׁ֤בye.ShevH3427, neither doth anysonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָֽם׃'a.DamH120passיַעֲבֹ֥רya.'a.VorH5674therebyH2004.

44And I will punishוּפָקַדְתִּ֨יu.fa.kad.TiH6485Belבֵּ֜לbelH1078in Babylonבְּבָבֶ֗לbe.va.VelH894,and I will bring forthוְהֹצֵאתִ֤יve.ho.tze.TiH3318out of his mouthמִפִּ֔יוmi.PivH6310that which he hath swallowed upבִּלְעוֹ֙bil.'OH1105:and the nationsגּוֹיִ֑םgo.YimH1471shall not flow togetherיִנְהֲר֥וּyin.ha.RuH5102any more unto him: yea, the wallחוֹמַ֥תcho.MatH2346of Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894shall fallנָפָֽלָה׃na.Fa.lahH5307.

45My peopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971,go ye outצְא֤וּtze.'UH3318of the midstמִתּוֹכָהּ֙mi.to.KhahH8432of her, and deliverוּמַלְּט֖וּu.ma.le.TuH4422ye every manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376his soulנַפְשׁ֑וֹnaf.ShoH5315from the fierceמֵחֲר֖וֹןme.cha.RonH2740angerאַף־'af-H639of Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
