2 Peter 3:4-13

4and sayingG3004, “1WhereG4226 is the promiseG1860 of His 2comingG3952? For ever sinceG575G3739 the fathersG3962 34fellG2837 asleepG2837, allG3956 thingsG3956 continueG1265 justG3779 as they were 5from the beginningG746 of creationG2937.” 5For 6when they maintainG2309 thisG3778, it escapesG2990 their noticeG2990 that 7by the wordG3056 of GodG2316 the heavensG3772 existedG1510 longG1597 agoG1597 and the earthG1093 was 8formedG4921 out of waterG5204 and by waterG5204, 6throughG1223 whichG3739 9the worldG2889 at that timeG5119 was 10destroyedG622 by being floodedG2626 with waterG5204. 7But by His wordG3056 11the presentG3568 heavensG3772 and earthG1093 are being reservedG2343 for 12fireG4442, keptG5083 for 13the dayG2250 of judgmentG2920 and destructionG684 of ungodlyG765 peopleG444.

8But do not let thisG3778 oneG1520 fact escapeG2990 your noticeG2990, 14belovedG27, that with the LordG2962 oneG1520 dayG2250 is likeG5613 a thousandG5507 yearsG2094, and 15a thousandG5507 yearsG2094 likeG5613 oneG1520 dayG2250. 916The LordG2962 is not slowG1019 about His promiseG1860, as someG5100 countG2233 slownessG1022, but 17isG3114 patientG3114 towardG1519 you, 18not willingG1014 for anyG5100 to perishG622, but for allG3956 to comeG5562 to repentanceG3341. 10But 19the dayG2250 of the LordG2962 20will comeG2240 likeG5613 a thiefG2812, in whichG3739 21the heavensG3772 22will passG3928 awayG3928 with a roarG4500 and the 23elementsG4747 will be destroyedG3089 withG2741 intenseG2741 heatG2741, and 24the earthG1093 and 25its worksG2041 will be 26discoveredG2147.

11Since allG3956 theseG3778 thingsG3778 are to be destroyedG3089 inG3779 thisG3779 wayG3779, whatG4217 sortG4217 of people oughtG1163 you to be in holyG40 conductG391 and godlinessG2150, 1227lookingG4328 forG4328 and hasteningG4692 the comingG3952 of the dayG2250 of GodG2316, becauseG1223 of whichG3739 28the heavensG3772 will be destroyedG3089 by burningG4448, and the 29elementsG4747 will meltG5080 with intenseG2741 heatG2741! 13But accordingG2596 to His 30promiseG1862 we are lookingG4328 forG4328 31newG2537 heavensG3772 and a newG2537 earthG1093, 32in whichG3739 righteousnessG1343 dwellsG2730.
