17Hesentשָׁלַ֣חsha.LachH7971a manאִ֑ישׁ'IshH376beforeלִפְנֵיהֶ֣םlif.nei.HemH6440them,Josephיוֹסֵֽף׃yo.SefH3130, who wassoldנִמְכַּ֥רnim.KarH4376as a slaveלְ֝עֶ֗בֶדle.'E.vedH5650.

18They forcedעִנּ֣וּ'i.NuH6031hisfeetרַגְל֑וֹrag.LoH7272into shacklesבַכֶּ֣בֶלva.Ke.velH3525,He was putH935inH935ironsבַּ֝רְזֶ֗לbar.ZelH1270;

19Untilעַד־'ad-H5704the timeעֵ֥ת'etH6256that hiswordדְבָר֑וֹde.va.RoH1697cameH935toH935passH935,The wordH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068refinedצְרָפָֽתְהוּ׃tze.ra.Fa.te.huH6884him.

25Heturnedהָפַ֣ךְha.FakhH2015their heartלִ֭בָּםLi.bomH3820to hateלִשְׂנֹ֣אlis.No'H8130His peopleעַמּ֑וֹa.MoH5971, TodealH5230cunninglyH5230with His servantsבַּעֲבָדָֽיו׃ba.'a.va.DavH5650.

27Theyperformedשָֽׂמוּ־sa.mu-H7760His wondrousאֹתוֹתָ֑יו'o.to.TavH226actsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697among them,And miraclesוּ֝מֹפְתִ֗יםu.mo.fe.TimH4159in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Hamחָֽם׃ChamH2526.

28Hesentשָׁ֣לַֽחSha.lachH7971darknessחֹ֭שֶׁךְCho.shekhH2822and madeH2821itdarkוַיַּחְשִׁ֑ךְvai.yach.ShikhH2821; And they did notrebelמָ֝ר֗וּma.RuH4784againstH854His wordsדְּבָרֽוֹ׃de.va.RoH1697.

29Heturnedהָפַ֣ךְha.FakhH2015their watersמֵימֵיהֶ֣םmei.mei.HemH4325into bloodלְדָ֑םle.DamH1818,And caused their fishדְּגָתָֽם׃de.ga.TamH1710to dieוַ֝יָּ֗מֶתvai.Ya.metH4191.

32Hegaveנָתַ֣ןna.TanH5414themhailבָּרָ֑דba.RadH1259for rainגִּשְׁמֵיהֶ֣םgish.mei.HemH1653, Andflamingלֶהָב֣וֹתle.ha.VotH3852fireאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784in their landבְּאַרְצָֽם׃be.'ar.TzamH776.

33He alsostruckוַיַּ֣ךְvai.YakhH5221their vinesגַּ֭פְנָםGaf.nomH1612and their figוּתְאֵנָתָ֑םu.te.'e.na.TamH8384treesH8384,And smashedוַ֝יְשַׁבֵּ֗רvay.sha.BerH7665the treesעֵ֣ץ'etzH6086of their territoryגְּבוּלָֽם׃ge.vu.LamH1366.

34He spokeאָ֭מַר'A.marH559, andlocustsאַרְבֶּ֑ה'ar.BehH697cameוַיָּבֹ֣אvai.ya.Vo'H935,And creepingH3218locustsוְ֝יֶ֗לֶקve.Ye.lekH3218,beyondוְאֵ֣יןve.'EinH369numberמִסְפָּֽר׃mis.ParH4557,

35And they ateוַיֹּ֣אכַלvai.Yo.khalH398allכָּל־kol-H3605the vegetationעֵ֣שֶׂב'E.sevH6212in their landבְּאַרְצָ֑םbe.'ar.TzamH776,And ateוַ֝יֹּ֗אכַלvai.Yo.khalH398the fruitפְּרִ֣יpe.RiH6529of their groundאַדְמָתָֽם׃'ad.ma.TamH127.

38Egyptמִצְרַ֣יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714wasH8055gladשָׂמַ֣חsa.MachH8055when they departedבְּצֵאתָ֑םbe.tze.TamH3318, For thedreadפַּחְדָּ֣םpach.DamH6343of them had fallenנָפַ֖לna.FalH5307upon the Egyptians.

39He spreadפָּרַ֣שׂpa.RasH6566outH6566acloudעָנָ֣ן'a.NanH6051as acoveringלְמָסָ֑ךְle.ma.SakhH4539, Andfireוְ֝אֵ֗שׁve.'EshH784to illumineלְהָאִ֥ירle.ha.'IrH215by nightלָֽיְלָה׃La.ye.lahH3915.

40Theyaskedשָׁאַ֣לsha.'AlH7592,and He broughtוַיָּבֵ֣אvai.ya.Ve'H935quailשְׂלָ֑וse.LavH7958,And satisfiedיַשְׂבִּיעֵֽם׃yas.bi.'EmH7646them with thebreadוְלֶ֥חֶםve.Le.chemH3899of heavenשָׁ֝מַ֗יִםSha.Ma.yimH8064.

41He openedפָּ֣תַחPa.tachH6605therockצ֭וּרtzurH6697andwaterמָ֑יִםMa.yimH4325flowedוַיָּז֣וּבוּvai.ya.Zu.vuH2100outH2100;It ranהָ֝לְכ֗וּha.le.KhuH1980in the dryבַּצִּיּ֥וֹתba.tzi.YotH6723placesH6723likea riverנָהָֽר׃na.HarH5104.

44He alsogaveוַיִּתֵּ֣ןvai.yi.TenH5414them the landsאַרְצ֣וֹת'ar.TzotH776of thenationsגּוֹיִ֑םgo.YimH1471, So that theymight takeH3423possessionיִירָֽשׁוּ׃yi.Ra.shuH3423of the fruit ofthe peoples’לְאֻמִּ֣יםle.'u.MimH3816laborוַעֲמַ֖לva.'a.MalH5999,
