24When they broughtH3318theseהָאֵלֶּה֮ha.'e.LehH428kingsהַמְּלָכִ֣יםha.me.la.KhimH4428outH3318to Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁעַ֒ye.ho.shu.a'H3091,Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091calledוַיִּקְרָ֨אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for allכָּל־kol-H3605the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and saidוַ֠יֹּאמֶרVai.yo.merH559to the leadersקְצִינֵ֞יke.tzi.NeiH7101of the menH376of warהַמִּלְחָמָה֙ha.mil.cha.MahH4421who had goneהֶהָלְכ֣וּאhe.ha.le.Khu'H1980with him, “ComeH7126forwardH7126,putשִׂ֚ימוּSi.muH7760your feetרַגְלֵיכֶ֔םrag.lei.KhemH7272on the necksצַוְּארֵ֖יtza.ve.ReiH6677of theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428kingsהַמְּלָכִ֣יםha.me.la.KhimH4428.”So they cameH7126forwardH7126and putוַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760their feetרַגְלֵיהֶ֖םrag.lei.HemH7272on their necksצַוְּארֵיהֶֽם׃tza.ve.rei.HemH6677.

25Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091then saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Do not fearתִּֽירְא֖וּti.re.'UH3372or be dismayedתֵּחָ֑תּוּte.Cha.tuH2865!Be strongחִזְק֣וּchiz.KuH2388and courageousוְאִמְצ֔וּve.'im.TzuH553,for the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will doיַעֲשֶׂ֤הya.'a.SehH6213thisכָ֗כָהKha.khahH3602to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605your enemiesH340with whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you fightנִלְחָמִ֥יםnil.cha.MimH3898.”

26So afterwardאַֽחֲרֵי־ כֵן֙'a.cha.rei- khenH310 H3651Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֤עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091struckוַיַּכֵּ֨םvai.ya.KemH5221them and putH4191them toH4191deathH4191, and hehangedוַיִּתְלֵ֕םvai.yit.LemH8518them on fiveחֲמִשָּׁ֣הcha.mi.ShahH2568treesעֵצִ֑ים'e.TzimH6086;and they were hungתְּלוּיִ֥םte.lu.YimH8518on thetreesהָעֵצִ֖יםha.'e.TzimH6086untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ha.'A.revH6153.

28Now Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091capturedלָכַ֨דla.KhadH3920Makkedahמַקֵּדָה֩ma.ke.DahH4719on that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,and struckוַיַּכֶּ֣הָvai.ya.Ke.haH5221it and its kingמַלְכָּהּ֒mal.KahH4428with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶרֶב֮che.RevH2719; heutterlyH2763destroyedהֶחֱרִ֣םhe.che.RimH2763it and everyכָּל־kol-H3605personהַנֶּ֙פֶשׁ֙ha.Ne.feshH5315whoH834was in it. 32And the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068handedבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH5414 H3027Lachishלָכִ֜ישׁla.KhishH3923overH5414to Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and he capturedוַֽיִּלְכְּדָהּ֙vai.yil.ke.DahH3920it on the secondהַשֵּׁנִ֔יha.she.NiH8145dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,and struckוַיַּכֶּ֣הָvai.ya.Ke.haH5221it and everyכָּל־kol-H3605personהַנֶּ֖פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315whoH834wasin it with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶ֔רֶבChe.revH2719,according to allכְּכֹ֥לke.KholH3605that he had doneעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213to Libnahלְלִבְנָֽה׃ פle.liv.NahH3841.
