1Now it cameH1961aboutH1961afterH310manyרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227daysמִיָּמִ֣יםmi.ya.MimH3117,whenאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H310 H834the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068had givenH5117restהֵנִ֨יחַhe.Ni.achH5117to Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לle.Yis.ra.'ElH3478from allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605their enemiesH340on everyH5439sideH5439,and Joshuaוִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַvi.ho.Shu.a'H3091wasH2204oldזָקֵ֔ןza.KenH2204,advancedבָּ֖אba'H935in yearsבַּיָּמִֽים׃bai.ya.MimH3117,

2thatJoshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091calledוַיִּקְרָ֤אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for allלְכָל־le.kholH3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,for their eldersלִזְקֵנָיו֙liz.ke.NavH2205,their headsוּלְרָאשָׁ֔יוu.le.ra.ShavH7218,their judgesוּלְשֹׁפְטָ֖יוu.le.sho.fe.TavH8199,and their officersוּלְשֹֽׁטְרָ֑יוu.le.sho.te.RavH7860,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “I amH2204oldזָקַ֔נְתִּיza.Kan.tiH2204,advancedבָּ֖אתִיBa.tiH935in yearsבַּיָּמִֽים׃bai.ya.MimH3117.

3And you have seenרְאִיתֶ֗םre.'i.TemH7200allכָּל־kol-H3605that the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֛ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430has doneעָשָׂ֜ה'a.SahH6213to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428nationsהַגּוֹיִ֥םha.go.YimH1471becauseמִפְּנֵיכֶ֑םmi.pe.nei.KhemH4480 H6440of you, forthe Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430is He who has been fightingהַנִּלְחָ֥םha.nil.ChamH3898for you.

4Seeרְאוּ֩re.'UH7200,I have apportionedהִפַּ֨לְתִּיhi.Pal.tiH5307to you theseהָאֵ֛לֶּהha.'E.lehH428nationsהַ֠גּוֹיִםHa.go.yimH1471which remainהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֥יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604as an inheritanceבְּנַחֲלָ֖הbe.na.cha.LahH5159for your tribesלְשִׁבְטֵיכֶ֑םle.shiv.tei.KhemH7626,with allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834I have eliminatedהִכְרַ֔תִּיhikh.Ra.tiH3772,from the Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֗ןhai.yar.DenH3383even to the Greatהַגָּד֖וֹלha.ga.DolH1419Seaוְהַיָּ֥םve.hai.YamH3220toward thewestמְב֥וֹא הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃me.Vo' ha.Sha.meshH3996 H8121.

5And the Lordוַיהוָ֣הva.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,He will thrustH1920them awayH1920from you anddriveH3423them from you; andyou will takeH3423possessionH3423of their landאַרְצָ֔ם'ar.TzamH776,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430promisedדִּבֶּ֛רdi.BerH1696you.

8But you are to clingתִּדְבָּ֑קוּtid.Ba.kuH1692to the Lordבַּיהוָ֥הba.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,as you have doneעֲשִׂיתֶ֔ם'a.si.TemH6213to thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

9For the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068hasdrivenH3423outH3423greatגְּדֹלִ֣יםge.do.LimH1419and mightyוַעֲצוּמִ֑יםva.'a.tzu.MimH6099nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471from beforeמִפְּנֵיכֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.KhemH6440you; and as for you,noלֹא־lo'-H3808oneאִישׁ֙'ishH376has stoodעָ֤מַד'A.madH5975againstבִּפְנֵיכֶ֔םbif.nei.KhemH6440you to thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

10Oneאֶחָ֥ד'e.ChadH259of your menאִישׁ־'ish-H376putsH7291toH7291flightH7291a thousandאָ֑לֶף'A.lefH505,for the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430isHe who fightsהַנִּלְחָ֣םha.nil.ChamH3898for you, justH3512asH3512Hepromisedדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696you.

11So takeוְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּ֥םve.nish.mar.TemH8104greatמְאֹ֖דme.'OdH3966careH8104for yourselvesלְנַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶ֑םle.naf.sho.tei.KhemH5315that you loveלְאַהֲבָ֖הle.'a.ha.VahH157the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃'e.lo.hei.KhemH430.

12For ifאִם־'im-H518you everH7725goH7725backH7725andclingוּדְבַקְתֶּם֙u.de.vak.TemH1692to the restבְּיֶ֙תֶר֙be.Ye.terH3499of theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428nationsהַגּוֹיִ֣םha.go.YimH1471,theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428which remainהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֥יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604with you, andintermarryוְהִֽתְחַתַּנְתֶּ֥םve.hit.cha.tan.TemH2859with them, so that youassociateוּבָאתֶ֥םu.va.TemH935with them and they with you,
