6Yet the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁעַ֮ye.ho.shu.a'H3091, “Do not beH3372afraidתִּירָ֣אti.Ra'H3372becauseH4480 H6440of them, for tomorrowמָחָ֞רma.CharH4279at thisH2088timeכָּעֵ֣תka.'EtH6256I am going to turnH5414allכֻּלָּ֛םku.LamH3605of them overH5414to Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478as good asdeadחֲלָלִ֖יםcha.la.LimH2491; you shallhamstringH6136their horsesסוּסֵיהֶ֣םsu.sei.HemH5483and burnתִּשְׂרֹ֥ףtis.RofH8313their chariotsמַרְכְּבֹתֵיהֶ֖םmar.ke.vo.tei.HemH4818with fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ba.'EshH784.”

7So Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֡עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the peopleעַם֩'amH5971of warהַמִּלְחָמָ֨הha.mil.cha.MahH4421with him cameוַיָּבֹ֣אvai.ya.Vo'H935upon them suddenlyפִּתְאֹ֑םpit.'OmH6597at the watersמֵ֥יmeiH4325of Meromמֵר֖וֹםme.RomH4792,and attackedוַֽיִּפְּל֖וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307them.
