4“Comeעֲלֽוּ־'a.lu-H5927upH5927to me and helpוְעִזְרֻ֔נִיve.'iz.Ru.niH5826me, and let’sattackוְנַכֶּ֖הve.na.KehH5221Gibeonגִּבְע֑וֹןgiv.'onH1391, for it hasmadeH7999peaceהִשְׁלִ֥ימָהhish.Li.mahH7999with Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091and with the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.”

8And the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091, “Do not fearתִּירָ֣אti.Ra'H3372them, for I have handedבְיָדְךָ֖ve.ya.de.KhaH5414H3027them overH5414to you; notoneאִ֛ישׁ'ishH376of them will standיַעֲמֹ֥דya.'a.ModH5975againstבְּפָנֶֽיךָ׃be.fa.Nei.khaH6440you.”
10And the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068broughtH2000them intoH2000confusionH2000beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and He struckH5221them downH5221in a greatגְדוֹלָ֖הge.do.LahH1419defeatמַכָּֽה־ma.kah-H4347at Gibeonבְּגִבְע֑וֹןbe.giv.'onH1391,and pursuedוַֽיִּרְדְּפֵ֗םvai.yir.de.FemH7291them by the wayדֶּ֚רֶךְDe.rekhH1870of the ascentמַעֲלֵ֣הma.'a.LehH4608to Beth-horonH1032and struckH5221them as farH5704as Azekahעֲזֵקָ֖ה'a.ze.KahH5825and Makkedahמַקֵּדָֽה׃ma.ke.DahH4719.

12Thenאָ֣ז'azH227Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁעַ֙ye.ho.shu.a'H3091spokeיְדַבֵּ֤רye.da.BerH1696to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068on the dayבְּי֗וֹםbe.YomH3117when the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068turnedH5414the Amoritesהָ֣אֱמֹרִ֔יha.'e.mo.RiH567overH5414to the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶר׀vai.Yo.merH559in the sightלְעֵינֵ֣יle.'ei.NeiH5869of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478, “Sunשֶׁ֚מֶשׁShe.meshH8121,standH1826stillדּ֔וֹםDomH1826at Gibeonבְּגִבְע֣וֹןbe.giv.'onH1391,And moonוְיָרֵ֖חַve.ya.Re.achH3394,at the Valleyבְּעֵ֥מֶקbe.'E.mekH6010of Aijalonאַיָּלֽוֹן׃'ai.ya.LonH357!”
13So the sunהַשֶּׁ֜מֶשׁha.She.meshH8121stoodH1826stillוַיִּדֹּ֨םvai.yi.DomH1826,and the moonוְיָרֵ֣חַve.ya.Re.achH3394stoppedעָמָ֗ד'a.MadH5975,Untilעַד־'ad-H5704the nationגּוֹי֙goyH1471avengedיִקֹּ֥םyi.KomH5358themselves of their enemiesH340.Is it not writtenכְתוּבָ֖הkhe.tu.VahH3789inthe Bookסֵ֣פֶרSe.ferH5612of Jasharהַיָּשָׁ֑רhai.ya.SharH3477? 17And it was toldוַיֻּגַּ֖דvai.yu.GadH5046to Joshuaלִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַli.ho.Shu.a'H3091,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “The fiveחֲמֵ֣שֶׁתcha.Me.shetH2568kingsהַמְּלָכִ֔יםha.me.la.KhimH4428have been foundנִמְצְאוּ֙nim.tze.'UH4672hiddenנֶחְבְּאִ֥יםnech.be.'ImH2244in the caveבַּמְּעָרָ֖הba.me.'a.RahH4631at Makkedahבְּמַקֵּדָֽה׃be.ma.ke.DahH4719.”
18So Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Rollגֹּ֛לּוּGo.luH1556largeגְּדֹל֖וֹתge.do.LotH1419stonesאֲבָנִ֥ים'a.va.NimH68againstאֶל־'el-H413the mouthפִּ֣יpiH6310of the caveהַמְּעָרָ֑הha.me.'a.RahH4631,and postוְהַפְקִ֧ידוּve.haf.Ki.duH6485menH376by it to guardלְשָׁמְרָֽם׃le.sha.me.RamH8104them,
19but do not stayתַּעֲמֹ֔דוּta.'a.Mo.duH5975thereyourselvesH864;pursueרִדְפוּ֙rid.FuH7291your enemiesH340andattackH2179them fromH2179behindH2179.Do not allowH5414them to enterלָבוֹא֙la.Vo'H935their citiesעָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם'a.rei.HemH5892,for the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430has handedבְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃be.yed.KhemH3027H5414them overH5414to you.”

22Then Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Openפִּתְח֖וּpit.ChuH6605the mouthפִּ֣יpiH6310of the caveהַמְּעָרָ֑הha.me.'a.RahH4631and bringוְהוֹצִ֣יאוּve.ho.Tzi.'uH3318theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428fiveחֲמֵ֛שֶׁתcha.Me.shetH2568kingsהַמְּלָכִ֥יםha.me.la.KhimH4428outH3318to me from the caveהַמְּעָרָֽה׃ha.me.'a.RahH4631.”
23They didוַיַּ֣עֲשׂוּvai.Ya.'a.suH6213soכֵ֔ןKhenH3651, andbroughtH3318theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428fiveחֲמֵ֛שֶׁתcha.Me.shetH2568kingsהַמְּלָכִ֥יםha.me.la.KhimH4428outH3318to him from the caveהַמְּעָרָ֑הha.me.'a.RahH4631:the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֗םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,the kingמֶ֤לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Hebronחֶבְרוֹן֙chev.rOnH2275,the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Jarmuthיַרְמ֔וּתyar.MutH3412,the kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Lachishלָכִ֖ישׁla.KhishH3923, andthe kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Eglonעֶגְלֽוֹן׃eg.LonH5700.
24When they broughtH3318theseהָאֵלֶּה֮ha.'e.LehH428kingsהַמְּלָכִ֣יםha.me.la.KhimH4428outH3318to Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁעַ֒ye.ho.shu.a'H3091,Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091calledוַיִּקְרָ֨אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for allכָּל־kol-H3605the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and saidוַ֠יֹּאמֶרVai.yo.merH559to the leadersקְצִינֵ֞יke.tzi.NeiH7101of the menH376of warהַמִּלְחָמָה֙ha.mil.cha.MahH4421who had goneהֶהָלְכ֣וּאhe.ha.le.Khu'H1980with him, “ComeH7126forwardH7126,putשִׂ֚ימוּSi.muH7760your feetרַגְלֵיכֶ֔םrag.lei.KhemH7272on the necksצַוְּארֵ֖יtza.ve.ReiH6677of theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428kingsהַמְּלָכִ֣יםha.me.la.KhimH4428.”So they cameH7126forwardH7126and putוַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760their feetרַגְלֵיהֶ֖םrag.lei.HemH7272on their necksצַוְּארֵיהֶֽם׃tza.ve.rei.HemH6677.
25Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091then saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Do not fearתִּֽירְא֖וּti.re.'UH3372or be dismayedתֵּחָ֑תּוּte.Cha.tuH2865!Be strongחִזְק֣וּchiz.KuH2388and courageousוְאִמְצ֔וּve.'im.TzuH553,for the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will doיַעֲשֶׂ֤הya.'a.SehH6213thisכָ֗כָהKha.khahH3602to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605your enemiesH340with whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you fightנִלְחָמִ֥יםnil.cha.MimH3898.”
26So afterwardאַֽחֲרֵי־ כֵן֙'a.cha.rei- khenH310H3651Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֤עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091struckוַיַּכֵּ֨םvai.ya.KemH5221them and putH4191them toH4191deathH4191, and hehangedוַיִּתְלֵ֕םvai.yit.LemH8518them on fiveחֲמִשָּׁ֣הcha.mi.ShahH2568treesעֵצִ֑ים'e.TzimH6086;and they were hungתְּלוּיִ֥םte.lu.YimH8518on thetreesהָעֵצִ֖יםha.'e.TzimH6086untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ha.'A.revH6153.
