23And they didוַיַּ֣עֲשׂוּvai.Ya.'a.suH6213so, and brought forthוַיֹּצִ֣יאוּvai.yo.Tzi.'uH3318those fiveחֲמֵ֛שֶׁתcha.Me.shetH2568kingsהַמְּלָכִ֥יםha.me.la.KhimH4428unto him out of the caveהַמְּעָרָ֑הha.me.'a.RahH4631,the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֗םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,the kingמֶ֤לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Hebronחֶבְרוֹן֙chev.rOnH2275,the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Jarmuthיַרְמ֔וּתyar.MutH3412,the kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Lachishלָכִ֖ישׁla.KhishH3923, andthe kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Eglonעֶגְלֽוֹן׃eg.LonH5700.

24And it came to pass, when they brought outכְּֽהוֹצִיאָ֞םke.ho.tzi.'AmH3318those kingsהַמְּלָכִ֣יםha.me.la.KhimH4428unto Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁעַ֒ye.ho.shu.a'H3091,that Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091calledוַיִּקְרָ֨אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for all the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and saidוַ֠יֹּאמֶרVai.yo.merH559unto the captainsקְצִינֵ֞יke.tzi.NeiH7101of the menאַנְשֵׁ֤י'an.SheiH582of warהַמִּלְחָמָה֙ha.mil.cha.MahH4421which wentהֶהָלְכ֣וּאhe.ha.le.Khu'H1980with him, Come nearקִרְב֗וּkir.VuH7126,putשִׂ֚ימוּSi.muH7760your feetרַגְלֵיכֶ֔םrag.lei.KhemH7272upon the necksצַוְּארֵ֖יtza.ve.ReiH6677of these kingsהַמְּלָכִ֣יםha.me.la.KhimH4428.And they came nearוַֽיִּקְרְב֔וּvai.yik.re.VuH7126,and putוַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760their feetרַגְלֵיהֶ֖םrag.lei.HemH7272upon the necksצַוְּארֵיהֶֽם׃tza.ve.rei.HemH6677of them.

25And Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Fearתִּֽירְא֖וּti.re.'UH3372not, nor be dismayedתֵּחָ֑תּוּte.Cha.tuH2865,be strongחִזְק֣וּchiz.KuH2388and of good courageוְאִמְצ֔וּve.'im.TzuH553:for thus shall the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068doיַעֲשֶׂ֤הya.'a.SehH6213to all your enemiesאֹ֣יְבֵיכֶ֔ם'o.ye.vei.KhemH341against whom ye fightנִלְחָמִ֥יםnil.cha.MimH3898.

26And afterwardאַֽחֲרֵי־'a.cha.rei-H310Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֤עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091smoteוַיַּכֵּ֨םvai.ya.KemH5221them, and slewוַיְמִיתֵ֔םvay.mi.TemH4191them, and hangedוַיִּתְלֵ֕םvai.yit.LemH8518them on fiveחֲמִשָּׁ֣הcha.mi.ShahH2568treesעֵצִ֑ים'e.TzimH6086:and they were hangingתְּלוּיִ֥םte.lu.YimH8518upon the treesהָעֵצִ֖יםha.'e.TzimH6086until the eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ha.'A.revH6153.

27And it came to pass at the timeלְעֵ֣ת׀le.'EtH6256of the going downבּ֣וֹאBo'H935of the sunהַשֶּׁ֗מֶשׁha.She.meshH8121, thatJoshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091commandedצִוָּ֤הtzi.VahH6680,and they took them downוַיֹּֽרִידוּם֙vai.yo.ri.DumH3381off the treesהָעֵצִ֔יםha.'e.TzimH6086,and castוַיַּ֨שְׁלִכֻ֔םvai.Yash.li.KhumH7993them into the caveהַמְּעָרָ֖הha.me.'a.RahH4631wherein they had been hidנֶחְבְּאוּ־nech.be.'u-H2244,and laidוַיָּשִׂ֜מוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760greatגְּדֹלוֹת֙ge.do.lOtH1419stonesאֲבָנִ֤ים'a.va.NimH68in the cave’sהַמְּעָרָ֔הha.me.'a.RahH4631mouthפִּ֣יpiH6310, which remainuntil this veryעֶ֖צֶם'E.tzemH6106dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

28And that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091tookלָכַ֨דla.KhadH3920Makkedahמַקֵּדָה֩ma.ke.DahH4719,and smoteוַיַּכֶּ֣הָvai.ya.Ke.haH5221it with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶרֶב֮che.RevH2719,and the kingמַלְכָּהּ֒mal.KahH4428thereof he utterly destroyedהֶחֱרִ֣םhe.che.RimH2763,them, and all the soulsהַנֶּ֙פֶשׁ֙ha.Ne.feshH5315that weretherein; he letהִשְׁאִ֖ירhish.'IrH7604none remainשָׂרִ֑ידsa.RidH8300:and he didוַיַּ֙עַשׂ֙vai.Ya.'asH6213to the kingלְמֶ֣לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Makkedahמַקֵּדָ֔הma.ke.DahH4719as he didעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213unto the kingלְמֶ֥לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Jerichoיְרִיחֽוֹ׃ye.ri.ChoH3405.

29Then Joshuaיְ֠הוֹשֻׁעַYe.ho.shu.a'H3091passedוַיַּעֲבֹ֣רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674from Makkedahמִמַּקֵּדָ֖הmi.ma.ke.DahH4719,and all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֥לYis.ra.'ElH3478with him, unto Libnahלִבְנָ֑הliv.NahH3841,and foughtוַיִּלָּ֖חֶםvai.yi.La.chemH3898against Libnahלִבְנָֽה׃liv.NahH3841:

30And the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068deliveredוַיִּתֵּן֩vai.yi.TenH5414it also, and the kingמַלְכָּהּ֒mal.KahH4428thereof, into the handבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֘לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and he smoteוַיַּכֶּ֣הָvai.ya.Ke.haH5221it with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶ֗רֶבChe.revH2719,and all the soulsהַנֶּ֙פֶשׁ֙ha.Ne.feshH5315that weretherein; he letהִשְׁאִ֥ירhish.'IrH7604none remainשָׂרִ֑ידsa.RidH8300in it; but didוַיַּ֣עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213unto the kingלְמַלְכָּ֔הּle.mal.KahH4428thereof as he didעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213unto the kingלְמֶ֥לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Jerichoיְרִיחֽוֹ׃ סye.ri.ChoH3405.

31And Joshuaיְ֠הוֹשֻׁעַYe.ho.shu.a'H3091passedוַיַּעֲבֹ֣רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674from Libnahמִלִּבְנָ֖הmi.liv.NahH3841,and all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֥לYis.ra.'ElH3478with him, unto Lachishלָכִ֑ישָׁהla.Khi.shahH3923,and encampedוַיִּ֣חַןvai.Yi.chanH2583against it, and foughtוַיִּלָּ֖חֶםvai.yi.La.chemH3898against it:

32And the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068deliveredוַיִּתֵּן֩vai.yi.TenH5414Lachishלָכִ֜ישׁla.KhishH3923into the handבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,which tookוַֽיִּלְכְּדָהּ֙vai.yil.ke.DahH3920it on the secondהַשֵּׁנִ֔יha.she.NiH8145dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,and smoteוַיַּכֶּ֣הָvai.ya.Ke.haH5221it with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶ֔רֶבChe.revH2719,and all the soulsהַנֶּ֖פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315that weretherein, according to all that he had doneעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213to Libnahלְלִבְנָֽה׃ פle.liv.NahH3841.

33Then Horamהֹרָם֙ho.RamH2036kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Gezerגֶּ֔זֶרGe.zerH1507came upעָלָ֗ה'a.LahH5927to helpלַעְזֹ֖רla'.ZorH5826Lachishלָכִ֑ישׁla.KhishH3923;and Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091smoteוַיַּכֵּ֤הוּvai.ya.Ke.huH5221him and his peopleעַמּ֔וֹa.MoH5971,until he had leftהִשְׁאִֽיר־hish.'ir-H7604him none remainingשָׂרִֽיד׃sa.RidH8300.

34And from Lachishמִלָּכִ֖ישׁmi.la.KhishH3923Joshuaיְ֠הוֹשֻׁעַYe.ho.shu.a'H3091passedוַיַּעֲבֹ֣רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674unto Eglonעֶגְלֹ֑נָה'eg.Lo.nahH5700,and all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֥לYis.ra.'ElH3478with him; and they encampedוַיַּחֲנ֣וּvai.ya.cha.NuH2583against it, and foughtוַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּvai.yi.la.cha.MuH3898against it:

35And they tookוַֽיִּלְכְּד֜וּהָvai.yil.ke.Du.haH3920it on that dayבַּיּ֤וֹםbai.YomH3117,and smoteוַיַּכּ֣וּהָvai.ya.Ku.haH5221it with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶ֔רֶבChe.revH2719,and all the soulsהַנֶּ֣פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315that weretherein he utterly destroyedהֶחֱרִ֑יםhe.che.RimH2763that dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117,according to all that he had doneעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213to Lachishלְלָכִֽישׁ׃ פle.la.KhishH3923.

37And they tookוַיִּלְכְּד֣וּהָvai.yil.ke.Du.haH3920it, and smoteוַיַּכּֽוּהָ־vai.ya.ku.ha-H5221it with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶ֠רֶבChe.revH2719,and the kingמַלְכָּ֨הּmal.KahH4428thereof, and all the citiesעָרֶ֜יהָ'a.Rei.haH5892thereof, and all the soulsהַנֶּ֤פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315that weretherein; he leftהִשְׁאִ֣ירhish.'IrH7604none remainingשָׂרִ֔ידsa.RidH8300,according to all that he had doneעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213to Eglonלְעֶגְל֑וֹןle.'eg.LonH5700;but destroyedוַיַּחֲרֵ֣םvai.ya.cha.RemH2763it utterly, and all the soulsהַנֶּ֖פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315that were therein.
