10Nowוְעַתָּ֡הve.'a.TahH6258beholdהִנֵּה֩hi.NehH2009,the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Ammonעַמּ֨וֹןa.MonH5983,Moabוּמוֹאָ֜בu.mo.'AvH4124, andMountוְהַר־ve.har-H2022Seirשֵׂעִ֗ירse.'IrH8165,whomאֲ֠שֶׁר'a.SherH834You did not allowנָתַ֤תָּהna.Ta.tahH5414Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙le.Yis.ra.'ElH3478to invadeלָב֣וֹאla.Vo'H935when they cameבְּבֹאָ֖םbe.vo.'AmH935out of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714(for they turnedH5493asideסָ֥רוּSa.ruH5493from them and did not destroyהִשְׁמִידֽוּם׃hish.mi.DumH8045them),

11seeוְהִ֨נֵּה־ve.Hi.neh-H2009howthey are rewardingגֹּמְלִ֖יםgo.me.LimH1580us bycomingלָבוֹא֙la.Vo'H935to driveלְגָ֣רְשֵׁ֔נוּle.Ga.re.She.nuH1644us outH1644from Your possessionמִיְּרֻשָּׁתְךָ֖mi.ye.ru.sha.te.KhaH3425whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834You have givenH3423us asH3423anH3423inheritanceH3423.

12Our Godאֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙'e.lo.Hei.nuH430,will You not judgeתִשְׁפָּט־tish.pot-H8199them? For we are powerlessאֵ֥ין כֹּ֔חַ'ein Ko.achH369 H3581beforeלִ֠פְנֵיLif.neiH6440thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088greatהָרָ֛בha.RavH7227multitudeהֶהָמ֥וֹןhe.ha.MonH1995that is comingהַבָּ֣אha.Ba'H935againstH5921us; norH3808do we knowנֵדַע֙ne.Da'H3045whatמַֽה־mah-H4100to doנַּעֲשֶׂ֔הna.'a.SehH6213, butour eyesעֵינֵֽינוּ׃'ei.Nei.nuH5869are on You.”

13Allוְכָ֨ל־ve.Khol-H3605Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063was standingעֹמְדִ֖ים'o.me.DimH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,with their infantsטַפָּ֖םta.PamH2945,their wivesנְשֵׁיהֶ֥םne.shei.HemH802,and their childrenוּבְנֵיהֶֽם׃ פu.ve.nei.HemH1121.

14Then in the midstבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432of the assemblyהַקָּהָֽל׃ha.ka.HalH6951the Spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameהָיְתָ֤הha.ye.TahH1961upon Jahazielוְיַחֲזִיאֵ֡לve.ya.cha.zi.'ElH3166the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Zechariahזְכַרְיָ֡הוּze.khar.Ya.huH2148,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Benaiahבְּ֠נָיָהBe.na.yahH1141,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of JeielH3262,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Mattaniahמַתַּנְיָ֛הma.tan.YahH4983,the Leviteהַלֵּוִ֖יha.le.ViH3881of the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Asaphאָסָ֑ף'a.SafH623;

15and he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Listenהַקְשִׁ֤יבוּhak.Shi.vuH7181,allכָל־khol-H3605you ofJudahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063and the inhabitantsוְיֹשְׁבֵ֣יve.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and Kingוְהַמֶּ֖לֶךְve.ha.Me.lekhH4428Jehoshaphatיְהוֹשָׁפָ֑טye.ho.sha.FatH3092:ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֨ר'a.MarH559to you: ‘Do not fearתִּֽירְא֤וּti.re.'UH3372or be dismayedתֵּחַ֙תּוּ֙te.Cha.tuH2865becauseמִפְּנֵ֨יmi.pe.NeiH4480 H6440of thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088greatהָרָב֙ha.RavH7227multitudeהֶהָמ֤וֹןhe.ha.MonH1995, forthe battleהַמִּלְחָמָ֖הha.mil.cha.MahH4421is not yours but God’sלֵאלֹהִֽים׃le.lo.HimH430.

16Tomorrowמָחָר֙ma.CharH4279,goרְד֣וּre.DuH3381downH3381againstעֲלֵיהֶ֔ם'a.lei.HemH5921them. BeholdH2009,they will comeH5927upH5927by the ascentבְּמַעֲלֵ֣הbe.ma.'a.LehH4608of Zizהַצִּ֑יץha.TzitzH6732,and you will findוּמְצָאתֶ֤םu.me.tza.TemH4672them at the endבְּס֣וֹףbe.SofH5490of the valleyהַנַּ֔חַלha.Na.chalH5158in frontפְּנֵ֖יpe.NeiH6440of the wildernessמִדְבַּ֥רmid.BarH4057of Jeruelיְרוּאֵֽל׃ye.ru.'ElH3385.

17You neednot fightלְהִלָּחֵ֣םle.hi.la.ChemH3898in thisH2088battle;takeהִתְיַצְּב֣וּhit.ya.tze.VuH3320your positionH3320,standעִמְד֡וּ'im.DuH5975and watchוּרְא֣וּu.re.'UH7200the salvationיְשׁוּעַת֩ye.shu.'AtH3444of the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068inעִמָּכֶ֜ם'i.ma.KhemH5973your behalfעִמָּכֶֽם׃'i.ma.KhemH5973,Judahיְהוּדָ֣הye.hu.DahH3063and Jerusalemוִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֗םvi.ru.sha.LimH3389.’Do not fearתִּֽירְאוּ֙ti.re.'UH3372or be dismayedתֵּחַ֔תּוּte.Cha.tuH2865;tomorrowמָחָר֙ma.CharH4279,goצְא֣וּtze.'UH3318outH3318to faceלִפְנֵיהֶ֔םlif.nei.HemH6440them,for the Lordוַיהוָ֖הva.Yah.wehH3068is with you.”

18Jehoshaphatיְהוֹשָׁפָ֛טye.ho.sha.FatH3092bowedוַיִּקֹּ֧דvai.yi.KodH6915his head with hisfaceאַפַּ֖יִם'a.Pa.yimH639to the groundאָ֑רְצָה'A.re.tzahH776,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605Judahיְהוּדָ֞הye.hu.DahH3063and the inhabitantsוְיֹשְׁבֵ֣יve.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֗םye.ru.sha.LimH3389fellH5307downנָֽפְלוּ֙na.fe.LuH5307beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,worshipingH2331the Lordלַיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068.

19The Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֛םhal.vi.YimH3881,from the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of the Kohathitesהַקְּהָתִ֖יםha.ke.ha.TimH6956and from the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of the Korahitesהַקָּרְחִ֑יםha.ka.re.ChimH7145,stoodH6965upH6965to praiseלְהַלֵּ֗לle.ha.LelH1984the Lordלַיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,with a veryלְמָֽעְלָה׃le.Ma.'e.lahH4605loudגָּד֖וֹלga.DolH1419voiceבְּק֥וֹלbe.KolH6963.

20They roseH7925earlyוַיַּשְׁכִּ֣ימוּvai.yash.Ki.muH7925in the morningבַבֹּ֔קֶרva.Bo.kerH1242and wentH3318outH3318to the wildernessלְמִדְבַּ֣רle.mid.BarH4057of Tekoaתְּק֑וֹעַte.Ko.a'H8620;and when they wentH3318out, Jehoshaphatיְהוֹשָׁפָ֗טye.ho.sha.FatH3092stoodעָמַ֣ד'a.MadH5975and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “Listenשְׁמָע֗וּנִיshe.ma.'U.niH8085to me, Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063and inhabitantsוְיֹשְׁבֵ֣יve.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389:PutH539your trustH539in the Lordבַּיהוָ֤הba.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶם֙'e.lo.hei.KhemH430and you will endureH539.PutH539your trustH539in His prophetsבִנְבִיאָ֖יוvin.vi.'AvH5030,and succeedוְהַצְלִֽיחוּ׃ve.hatz.Li.chuH6743.”

21When he had consultedוַיִּוָּעַץ֙vai.yi.va.'AtzH3289with the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971,he appointedוַיַּעֲמֵ֤דvai.ya.'a.MedH5975those who sangמְשֹֽׁרֲרִים֙me.sho.ra.RimH7891to the Lordלַיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068and those whopraisedוּֽמְהַֽלְלִ֖יםu.me.ha.LimH1984Himin holyקֹ֑דֶשׁKo.deshH6944attireלְהַדְרַת־le.had.rat-H1927,as they wentH3318outH3318beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the armyהֶֽחָל֔וּץhe.cha.LutzH2502and saidוְאֹֽמְרִים֙ve.'o.me.RimH559, “Giveהוֹד֣וּho.DuH3034thanksH3034to the Lordלַיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068,for His faithfulnessחַסְדּֽוֹ׃chas.DoH2617is everlastingלְעוֹלָ֖םle.'o.LamH5769.”

22Whenוּבְעֵת֩u.ve.'EtH6256they beganהֵחֵ֨לּוּhe.Che.luH2490singingבְרִנָּ֜הve.ri.NahH7440and praisingוּתְהִלָּ֗הu.te.hi.LahH8416,the Lordיְהוָ֣ה׀Yah.wehH3068setנָתַ֣ןna.TanH5414ambushesמְ֠אָֽרְבִיםMe.'a.re.vimH693againstעַל־'al-H5921the sonsבְּנֵ֨יbe.NeiH1121ofAmmonעַמּ֜וֹןa.MonH5983,Moabמוֹאָ֧בmo.'AvH4124,and Mountוְהַר־ve.har-H2022Seirשֵׂעִ֛ירse.'IrH8165,who had comeהַבָּאִ֥יםha.ba.'ImH935against Judahלִֽיהוּדָ֖הli.hu.DahH3063;so they were struckH5062downH5062.
