Exodus 12:18-36
181In the firstH7223 month, on the fourteenthH702H6240 dayH3117 of the monthH2320 at eveningH6153, you shall eatH398 unleavenedH4682 breadH4682, untilH5704 the twenty-firstH6242H259 dayH3117 of the monthH2320 at eveningH6153. 192SevenH7651 daysH3117 there shall be noH3808 leavenH7603 foundH4672 in your housesH1004; for whoeverH3605 eatsH398 whatH4263 is leavenedH4263, that 34personH5315 shall be cutH3772 offH3772 from the congregationH5712 of IsraelH3478, whether he is an alienH1616 or a nativeH249 of the landH776. 20You shall not eatH398 anythingH3605 leavenedH4263; in allH3605 your dwellingsH4186 you shall eatH398 unleavenedH4682 breadH4682.’”
21Then 5MosesH4872 calledH7121 for allH3605 the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478 and saidH559 to them, “6GoH4900 and 7takeH3947 for yourselves 8lambsH6629 according to your familiesH4940, and slayH7819 9the PassoverH6453 lamb. 2210You shall takeH3947 a bunchH92 of hyssopH231 and dipH2881 it in the bloodH1818 whichH834 is in the basinH5592, and 11applyH5060 someH4480 of the bloodH1818 that is in the basinH5592 to the lintelH4947 and the twoH8147 doorpostsH4201; and noneH3808H376 of you shall goH3318 outsideH3318 the doorH6607 of his houseH1004 untilH5704 morningH1242. 23For 12the LordH3068 will passH5674 throughH5674 to smiteH5062 the EgyptiansH4714; and when He seesH7200 the bloodH1818 on the lintelH4947 and on the twoH8147 doorpostsH4201, the LordH3068 will passH6452 overH5921 the doorH6607 and will 13not allowH5414 the 14destroyerH7843 to comeH935 in to your housesH1004 to smiteH5062 you. 24And 15you shall observeH8104 thisH2088 eventH1697 as an ordinanceH2706 for you and your childrenH1121 foreverH5704H5769. 25WhenH3588 you enterH935 the landH776 whichH834 the LordH3068 will giveH5414 you, as He has 16promisedH1696, you shall observeH8104 thisH2088 17riteH5656. 2618And when your childrenH1121 sayH559 to you, ‘19WhatH4100 does thisH2088 riteH5656 mean to you?’ 27you shall sayH559, ‘It is a PassoverH6453 sacrificeH2077 to 20the LordH3068 21whoH834 passedH6452 overH5921 the housesH1004 of the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 in EgyptH4714 when He smoteH5062 the EgyptiansH4714, but 22sparedH5337 our homesH1004.’” 23And the peopleH5971 bowedH6915 lowH6915 and worshipedH7812.
28Then the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 wentH1980 and didH6213 so; justH3512 as the LordH3068 had commandedH6680 MosesH4872 and AaronH175, soH3651 they didH6213.
29Now it cameH1961 about at 24midnightH2677H3915 that 25the LordH3068 struckH5221 allH3605 26the firstbornH1060 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, from the firstbornH1060 of PharaohH6547 who satH3427 on his throneH3678 to the firstbornH1060 of the captiveH7628 whoH834 was in the dungeonH1004H953, and allH3605 the firstbornH1060 of 27cattleH929. 30PharaohH6547 aroseH6965 in the nightH3915, he and allH3605 his servantsH5650 and allH3605 the EgyptiansH4714, and there was 28a greatH1419 cryH6818 in EgyptH4714, for thereH369 was noH369 homeH1004 whereH834H8033 thereH369 was not someone deadH4191. 31Then 29he calledH7121 for MosesH4872 and AaronH175 at nightH3915 and saidH559, “RiseH6965 up, 30getH3318 out from amongH8432 my peopleH5971, bothH1571 you and the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478; and goH1980, 31worshipH5647 the LordH3068, as you have saidH1696. 32TakeH3947 32bothH1571 your flocksH6629 and your herdsH1241, as you have saidH1696, and goH1980, and blessH1288 me alsoH1571.” 3333The EgyptiansH4714 urgedH2388H5921 the peopleH5971, to sendH7971 them out of the landH776 in hasteH4116, for they saidH559, “We will allH3605 be deadH4191.” 34So the peopleH5971 tookH5375 34their doughH1217 beforeH2962 it was leavenedH2556, with their kneadingH4863 bowlsH4863 boundH6887 up in the clothesH8071 on their shouldersH7926.
3535Now the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 had doneH6213 according to the wordH1697 of MosesH4872, for they had requestedH7592 from the EgyptiansH4714 articlesH3627 of silverH3701 and articlesH3627 of goldH2091, and clothingH8071; 36and the LordH3068 had givenH5414 the peopleH5971 favorH2580 in the sightH5869 of the EgyptiansH4714, so that they let them have their requestH7592. Thus they 36plunderedH5337 the EgyptiansH4714.
