Consecration of the Priests

1“1Now thisH2088 is 2whatH1697H834 you shall doH6213 to them to consecrateH6942 them to ministerH3547 as priestsH3547 to Me: takeH3947 oneH259 youngH1121 bullH6499 and twoH8147 ramsH352 withoutH8549 blemishH8549, 2and 3unleavenedH4682 breadH3899 and unleavenedH4682 cakesH2471 mixedH1101 with oilH8081, and unleavenedH4682 wafersH7550 4spreadH4886 with oilH8081; you shall makeH6213 them of fineH5560 wheatH2406 flourH5560. 3You shall putH5414 them in oneH259 basketH5536, and presentH7126 them in the basketH5536 along with the bullH6499 and the twoH8147 ramsH352. 4Then 5you shall bringH7126 AaronH175 and his sonsH1121 to the doorwayH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150 and washH7364 them with waterH4325. 5You shall takeH3947 the garmentsH899, and putH3847 on AaronH175 the 6tunicH3801 and 7the robeH4598 of the ephodH646 and 8the ephodH646 and 9the 10breastpieceH2833, and girdH640 him with the skillfullyH2805 11wovenH2805 bandH2805 of the ephodH646; 6and you shall setH7660 the 12turbanH4701 on his headH7218 and putH5414 13the holyH6944 crownH5145 on the turbanH4701. 7Then you shall takeH3947 14the anointingH4888 oilH8081 and pourH3332 it on his headH7218 and anointH4886 him. 8You shall bringH7126 his sonsH1121 and putH3847 15tunicsH3801 on them. 9You shall girdH2296 them with 16sashesH73, AaronH175 and his sonsH1121, and bindH2280 17capsH4021 on them, and they shall haveH1961 18the priesthoodH3550 by a perpetualH5769 statuteH2708. So you shall 1920ordainH4390H3027 AaronH175 and his sonsH1121.

The Sacrifices

10“Then you shall bringH7126 the bullH6499 beforeH6440 the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and AaronH175 and his sonsH1121 shall 21layH5564 their handsH3027 on the headH7218 of the bullH6499. 11You shall slaughterH7819 the bullH6499 beforeH6440 the LordH3068 at the doorwayH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 12You shall 22takeH3947 someH4480 of the bloodH1818 of the bullH6499 and putH5414 it on 23the hornsH7161 of the altarH4196 with your fingerH676; and you shall pourH8210 out allH3605 the bloodH1818 at the baseH3247 of the altarH4196. 13You shall 24takeH3947 allH3605 the fatH2459 that coversH3680 the entrailsH7130 and the 25lobeH3508 of the liverH3516, and the twoH8147 kidneysH3629 and the fatH2459 that is on them, and offerH6999 them up in smokeH6999 on the altarH4196. 14But 26the fleshH1320 of the bullH6499 and its hideH5785 and its refuseH6569, you shall burnH8313 with fireH784 outsideH4480H2351 the campH4264; it is a sinH2403 offeringH2403.

15“27You shall also takeH3947 the oneH259 ramH352, and AaronH175 and his sonsH1121 shall layH5564 their handsH3027 on the headH7218 of the ramH352; 16and you shall slaughterH7819 the ramH352 and shall takeH3947 its bloodH1818 and sprinkleH2236 it aroundH5439 on the altarH4196. 17Then you shall cutH5408 the ramH352 into its piecesH5409, and washH7364 its entrailsH7130 and its legsH3767, and putH5414 them 28with its piecesH5409 and 29its headH7218. 18You shall offerH6999 up in smokeH6999 the wholeH3605 ramH352 on the altarH4196; it is a burntH5930 offeringH5930 to the LordH3068: 30it is a soothingH5207 aromaH7381, an offeringH801 by fireH801 to the LordH3068.

19“Then 31you shall takeH3947 the 32otherH8145 ramH352, and AaronH175 and his sonsH1121 shall layH5564 their handsH3027 on the headH7218 of the ramH352. 20You shall slaughterH7819 the ramH352, and takeH3947 someH4480 of its bloodH1818 and putH5414 it on the lobeH8571 of Aaron’sH175 right earH241 and on the lobesH8571 of his sons’H1121 rightH3233 earsH241 and on the thumbsH931 of their rightH3233 handsH3027 and on the bigH931 toesH931 of their rightH3233 feetH7272, and sprinkleH2236 the rest of the bloodH1818 aroundH5439 on the altarH4196. 21Then you shall takeH3947 someH4480 of the bloodH1818 that is on the altarH4196 and someH4480 of the 33anointingH4888 oilH8081, and sprinkleH5137 it on AaronH175 and on his garmentsH899 and on his sonsH1121 and on his sons’H1121 garmentsH899 with him; so he and his garmentsH899 shall be consecratedH6942, as well as his sonsH1121 and his sons’H1121 garmentsH899 with him.

22“You shall also takeH3947 the fatH2459 from the ramH352 and the fatH451 tailH451, and the fatH2459 that coversH3680 the entrailsH7130 and the 34lobeH3508 of the liverH3516, and the twoH8147 kidneysH3629 and the fatH2459 that is on them and the rightH3225 thighH7785 (for it is a ramH352 of 35ordinationH4394), 23and oneH259 cakeH3603 of breadH3899 and 36oneH259 cakeH2471 of breadH3899 mixed with oilH8081 and oneH259 waferH7550 from the basketH5536 of unleavenedH4682 breadH4682 whichH834 is set beforeH6440 the LordH3068; 24and you shall putH7760 37allH3605 theseH3605 38in the 39handsH3709 of AaronH175 and 40in the 41handsH3709 of his sonsH1121, and shall waveH5130 them as a waveH8573 offeringH8573 beforeH6440 the LordH3068. 2542You shall takeH3947 them from their handsH3027, and offerH6999 them up in smokeH6999 on the altarH4196 on the burntH5930 offeringH5930 for a soothingH5207 aromaH7381 beforeH6440 the LordH3068; it is an offeringH801 by fireH801 to the LordH3068.

26“Then you shall takeH3947 43the breastH2373 of Aaron’sH175 ramH352 of 44ordinationH4394, and waveH5130 it as a waveH8573 offeringH8573 beforeH6440 the LordH3068; and it shall be your portionH4490. 27You shall consecrateH6942 the breastH2373 of the waveH8573 offeringH8573 and the thighH7785 of the heaveH8641 offeringH8641 whichH834 was wavedH5130 and whichH834 was 45offeredH7311 from the ramH352 of 46ordinationH4394, from the one whichH834 was for AaronH175 and from the one whichH834 was for his sonsH1121. 28It shall be for AaronH175 and his sonsH1121 as their portionH2706 foreverH5769 from the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, for it is a heaveH8641 offeringH8641; and it shall be a heaveH8641 offeringH8641 from the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 from the sacrificesH2077 of their peaceH8002 offeringsH8002, even their heaveH8641 offeringH8641 to the LordH3068.

29“47The holyH6944 garmentsH899 of AaronH175 shall be for his sonsH1121 afterH310 him, 48that in them they may be anointedH4886 and ordainedH4390H3027. 30For sevenH7651 daysH3117 the one of his sonsH1121 who is priestH3548 in his steadH8478 shall putH3847 them on whenH834 he entersH935 the tentH168 of meetingH4150 to ministerH8334 in the holyH6944 place.

Food of the Priests

31“You shall takeH3947 the ramH352 of 49ordinationH4394 and 50boilH1310 its fleshH1320 in a holyH6918 placeH4725. 32AaronH175 and his sonsH1121 shall eatH398 the fleshH1320 of the ramH352 and the breadH3899 that is in the basketH5536, at the doorwayH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 33Thus 51they shall eatH398 52those things by whichH834 atonementH3722 was madeH3722 53at their ordinationH4390H3027 and consecrationH6942; but a 5455laymanH2114 shall not eatH398 them, becauseH3588 they are holyH6944. 3456IfH518 anyH4480 of the fleshH1320 of 57ordinationH4394 or anyH4480 of the breadH3899 remainsH3498 untilH5704 morningH1242, then you shall burnH8313 the remainderH3498 with fireH784; it shall not be eatenH398, becauseH3588 it is holyH6944.

35“ThusH3602 you shall doH6213 to AaronH175 and to his sonsH1121, according to allH3605 that I have commandedH6680 you; you shall 58ordainH4390H3027 them through 59sevenH7651 daysH3117. 3660Each dayH3117 you shall offerH6213 a bullH6499 as a sinH2403 offeringH2403 for atonementH3725, and you shall 61purifyH2398 the altarH4196 when you makeH3722 atonementH3722 62for it, and 63you shall anointH4886 it to consecrateH6942 it. 37For sevenH7651 daysH3117 you shall makeH3722 atonementH3722 64for the altarH4196 and consecrateH6942 it; then 65the altarH4196 shall be mostH6944 holyH6944, and whateverH3605 touchesH5060 the altarH4196 shall be holyH6942.

38“Now 66thisH2088 is whatH834 you shall offerH6213 on the altarH4196: twoH8147 one yearH8141 oldH1121 lambsH3532 each dayH3117, continuouslyH8548. 39The 67oneH259 lambH3532 you shall offerH6213 in the morningH1242 and the 68otherH8145 lambH3532 you shall offerH6213 at 69twilightH6153; 40and there shall be one-tenthH6241 of an ephah of fineH5560 flourH5560 mixedH1101 with one-fourthH7253 of a hinH1969 of beatenH3795 oilH8081, and one-fourthH7243 of a hinH1969 of wineH3196 for a drinkH5262 offeringH5262 with oneH259 lambH3532. 41The 70otherH8145 lambH3532 you shall offerH6213 at 71twilightH6153, and shall offerH6213 with it 72the same grain offeringH4503 and 73the same drinkH5262 offeringH5262 as in the morningH1242, for a soothingH5207 aromaH7381, an offeringH801 by fireH801 to the LordH3068. 42It shall be a continualH8548 burntH5930 offeringH5930 throughout your generationsH1755 at the doorwayH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150 beforeH6440 the LordH3068, 74whereH834H8033 I will meetH3259 with you, to speakH1696 to you thereH8033. 43I will meetH3259 thereH8033 with the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, and it shall be consecratedH6942 by My gloryH3519. 44I will consecrateH6942 the tentH168 of meetingH4150 and the altarH4196; I will also consecrateH6942 AaronH175 and his sonsH1121 to ministerH3547 as priestsH3547 to Me. 4575I will dwellH7931 amongH8432 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 and will be their GodH430. 46They shall knowH3045 that 76I am the LordH3068 their GodH430 whoH834 broughtH3318 them out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, that I might dwellH7931 amongH8432 them; I am the LordH3068 their GodH430.
