5Meanwhile,Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֖הpar.'OhH6547armyוְחֵ֥ילve.CheilH2428had setיָצָ֣אya.Tza'H3318out from Egyptמִמִּצְרָ֑יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714;and when the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֜יםha.kas.DimH3778who had been besiegingהַצָּרִ֤יםha.tza.RimH6696 H5921Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ye.ru.sha.LimH3389heardוַיִּשְׁמְע֨וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085the reportשִׁמְעָ֔םshim.'AmH8088about them, theyliftedוַיֵּ֣עָל֔וּvai.Ye.'a.LuH5927the siegefrom Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ פye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

6Then the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961to Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֥הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414the prophetהַנָּבִ֖יאha.na.Vi'H5030,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

8The Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםha.kas.DimH3778will alsoreturnוְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ve.Sha.vuH7725and fightוְנִלְחֲמ֖וּve.nil.cha.MuH3898againstעַל־'al-H5921thisH2088cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892,and they will captureוּלְכָדֻ֖הָu.le.kha.Du.haH3920it and burnוּשְׂרָפֻ֥הָu.se.ra.Fu.haH8313it with fireבָאֵֽשׁ׃ סva.'EshH784.”’

9Thusכֹּ֣ה׀kohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, ‘Do notdeceiveH5378yourselvesנַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶם֙naf.sho.tei.KhemH5315,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “The Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֑יםha.kas.DimH3778will surelyהָלֹ֛ךְha.LokhH1980goיֵלְכ֥וּye.le.KhuH1980away from us,” for they will not goיֵלֵֽכוּ׃ye.Le.khuH1980.

10Foreven ifאִם־'im-H518you had defeatedהִכִּיתֶ֞םhi.ki.TemH5221the entireכָּל־kol-H3605armyחֵ֤ילcheilH2428of Chaldeansכַּשְׂדִּים֙kas.DimH3778who were fightingהַנִּלְחָמִ֣יםha.nil.cha.MimH3898againstאִתְּכֶ֔ם'i.te.KhemH854you, and there were onlywoundedמְדֻקָּרִ֑יםme.du.ka.RimH1856menH376leftוְנִ֨שְׁאֲרוּve.Nish.'a.ruH7604among them, eachH376manH376in his tentבְּאָהֳלוֹ֙be.'o.ho.LoH168,they would riseיָק֔וּמוּya.Ku.muH6965up andburnוְשָֽׂרְפ֛וּve.sa.re.FuH8313thisH2088cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892with fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ba.'EshH784.’”
