5Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֖הpar.'OhH6547armyוְחֵ֥ילve.CheilH2428had leftיָצָ֣אya.Tza'H3318Egyptמִמִּצְרָ֑יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,and when the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֜יםha.kas.DimH3778who were besiegingהַצָּרִ֤יםha.tza.RimH6696Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ye.ru.sha.LimH3389אֶת־'et-H853heardוַיִּשְׁמְע֨וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085the reportשִׁמְעָ֔םshim.'AmH8088,they withdrewוַיֵּ֣עָל֔וּvai.Ye.'a.LuH5927fromH5921Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ פye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

6Then the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961toאֶל־'el-H413Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֥הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414the prophetהַנָּבִ֖יאha.na.Vi'H5030לֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559:

7“This is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559thatכֹּ֤הkohH3541you are to tellתֹֽאמְרוּ֙ אֶל־to.me.Ru 'el-H559 H413the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,who sentהַשֹּׁלֵ֧חַha.sho.Le.achH7971youאֶתְכֶ֛ם'et.KhemH853toלְדָרְשֵׁ֑נִיle.da.re.She.niH1875Meאֵלַ֖י'e.LaiH413:Beholdהִנֵּ֣ה׀hi.NehH2009,Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֗הpar.'OhH6547armyחֵ֣ילcheilH2428,which has marched outהַיֹּצֵ֤אhai.yo.Tze'H3318to helpלְעֶזְרָ֔הle.'ez.RahH5833you,will go backשָׁ֥בshavH7725to its own landלְאַרְצ֖וֹle.'ar.TzoH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

8Then the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםha.kas.DimH3778will returnוְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ve.Sha.vuH7725and fightוְנִלְחֲמ֖וּve.nil.cha.MuH3898againstעַל־'al-H5921thisהַזֹּ֑אתha.ZotH2063cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892.They will captureוּלְכָדֻ֖הָu.le.kha.Du.haH3920it and burn it downוּשְׂרָפֻ֥הָ בָאֵֽשׁ׃ סu.se.ra.Fu.ha va.'EshH8313 H784.

9This is whatכֹּ֣ה׀kohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559:Do notאַל־'al-H408deceiveתַּשִּׁ֤אוּta.Shi.'uH5377yourselvesנַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶם֙naf.sho.tei.KhemH5315by sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘The Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֑יםha.kas.DimH3778will go away for goodמֵעָלֵ֖ינוּme.'a.Lei.nuH1980 H5921,’forכִּי־ki-H3588they will notלֹ֖אlo'H3808H1980!

10Indeedכִּ֣יkiH3588,ifאִם־'im-H518you were to strike downהִכִּיתֶ֞םhi.ki.TemH5221the entireכָּל־kol-H3605armyחֵ֤ילcheilH2428of the Chaldeansכַּשְׂדִּים֙kas.DimH3778that is fightingהַנִּלְחָמִ֣יםha.nil.cha.MimH3898against youאִתְּכֶ֔ם'i.te.KhemH854,and only woundedמְדֻקָּרִ֑יםme.du.ka.RimH1856menאֲנָשִׁ֖ים'a.na.ShimH582remainedוְנִ֨שְׁאֲרוּve.Nish.'a.ruH7604in their tentsאִ֤ישׁ בְּאָהֳלוֹ֙'ish be.'o.ho.LoH376 H168,they would still get upיָק֔וּמוּya.Ku.muH6965and burn thisהַזֹּ֖אתha.ZotH2063cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892downוְשָֽׂרְפ֛וּve.sa.re.FuH8313אֶת־'et-H853בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ba.'EshH784.”
