2and sayוְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ve.'a.mar.TaH559, ‘Hearשְׁמַ֣עshe.Ma'H8085the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,O kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063, whositsהַיֹּשֵׁ֖בhai.yo.ShevH3427on David’sדָוִ֑דda.VidH1732throneכִּסֵּ֣אki.Se'H3678,you and your servantsוַעֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙va.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650and your peopleוְעַמְּךָ֔ve.'a.me.KhaH5971who enterהַבָּאִ֖יםha.ba.'ImH935theseהָאֵֽלֶּה׃ סha.'E.lehH428gatesבַּשְּׁעָרִ֥יםba.she.'a.RimH8179.

3Thusכֹּ֣ה׀kohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, “Doעֲשׂ֤וּ'a.SuH6213justiceמִשְׁפָּט֙mish.PatH4941and righteousnessוּצְדָקָ֔הu.tze.da.KahH6666,and deliverוְהַצִּ֥ילוּve.ha.Tzi.luH5337the one who has been robbedגָז֖וּלga.ZulH1497from the powerמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027of hisoppressorעָשׁ֑וֹקa.ShokH6216. Alsodo not mistreatתֹּנוּ֙to.NuH3238ordoH2554violenceH2554to the strangerוְגֵר֩ve.GerH1616,the orphanיָת֨וֹםya.TomH3490,or the widowוְאַלְמָנָ֤הve.'al.ma.NahH490; and do notshedתִּשְׁפְּכ֖וּtish.pe.KhuH8210innocentנָקִ֔יna.KiH5355bloodוְדָ֣םve.DamH1818in thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088placeבַּמָּק֥וֹםba.ma.KomH4725.

4For ifאִם־'im-H518you men will indeedעָשׂוֹ֙a.SoH6213performתַּֽעֲשׂ֔וּta.'a.SuH6213thisהַזֶּ֑הha.ZehH2088thingהַדָּבָ֖רha.da.VarH1697, thenkingsמְלָכִים֩me.la.KhimH4428will enterוּבָ֣אוּu.Va.'uH935the gatesבְשַׁעֲרֵ֣יve.sha.'a.ReiH8179of thisהַזֶּ֡הha.ZehH2088houseהַבַּ֣יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,sittingיֹשְׁבִ֨יםyo.she.VimH3427in David’sלְדָוִ֜דle.da.VidH1732place on his throneכִּסְא֗וֹkis.'OH3678,ridingרֹֽכְבִים֙ro.khe.VimH7392in chariotsבָּרֶ֣כֶבba.Re.khevH7393and on horsesוּבַסּוּסִ֔יםu.va.su.SimH5483, even the kinghimselfה֥וּאhu'H1931and his servantsוַעֲבָדָ֖יוve.'av.davH5650and his peopleוְעַמּֽוֹ׃ve.'a.MoH5971.

5But ifוְאִם֙ve.'ImH518you will not obeyתִשְׁמְע֔וּtish.me.'UH8085theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697, Iswearנִשְׁבַּ֙עְתִּי֙nish.Ba'.tiH7650by Myself,” declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, “that thisהַזֶּֽה׃ סha.ZehH2088houseהַבַּ֥יִתha.Ba.yitH1004will becomeיִֽהְיֶ֖הyih.YehH1961a desolationלְחָרְבָּ֥הle.cha.re.BahH2723.”’”

6For thusכֹ֣ה׀khohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068concerningעַל־'al-H5921the houseבֵּית֙beitH1004of the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063: “You are likeGileadגִּלְעָ֥דgil.'AdH1568to Me, Likethe summitרֹ֣אשׁroshH7218of Lebanonהַלְּבָנ֑וֹןha.le.va.NonH3844;Yet mostלֹ֤אlo'H518 H3808assuredlyלֹ֥אlo'H518 H3808I will makeאֲשִֽׁיתְךָ֙'a.shi.te.KhaH7896you like awildernessמִדְבָּ֔רmid.BarH4057, Likecitiesעָרִ֖ים'a.RimH5892which are not inhabitedנוֹשָֽׁבוּ׃no.sha.vahH3427.

7For I will setH6942apartH6942destroyersמַשְׁחִתִ֖יםmash.chi.TimH7843againstH5921you,Eachאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376with his weaponsוְכֵלָ֑יוve.khe.LavH3627; And they willcutוְכָֽרְתוּ֙ve.kha.re.TuH3772downH3772your choicestמִבְחַ֣רmiv.CharH4005cedarsאֲרָזֶ֔יךָ'a.ra.Zei.khaH730Andthrowוְהִפִּ֖ילוּve.hi.Pi.luH5307themon the fireהָאֵֽשׁ׃ha.'EshH784.

8“Manyרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227nationsגּוֹיִ֣םgo.YimH1471will passוְעָֽבְרוּ֙ve.'a.ve.RuH5674by thisH2088cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892; and they willsayוְאָֽמְרוּ֙ve.'a.me.RuH559to oneאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376anotherרֵעֵ֔הוּre.'E.huH7453, ‘Whyמֶ֨הmehH5921 H4100has the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068doneעָשָׂ֤ה'a.SahH6213thusכָּ֔כָהKa.khahH3602to thisH2088greatהַגְּדוֹלָ֖הha.ge.do.LahH1419cityלָעִ֥ירla.'IrH5892?’

9Then they willanswerוְאָ֣מְר֔וּve.'A.me.RuH559, ‘Becauseעַ֚ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר'al 'a.SherH5921 H834theyforsookעָֽזְב֔וּ'a.ze.VuH5800the covenantבְּרִ֥יתbe.RitH1285of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068their Godאֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430and bowedH7812downוַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֛וּvai.yish.ta.cha.VuH7812to otherאֲחֵרִ֖ים'a.che.RimH312godsלֵאלֹהִ֥יםle.lo.HimH430and servedוַיַּעַבְדֽוּם׃ סvai.ya.'av.DumH5647them.’”
