8but if it yieldsἐκφέρουσαekpherousaG1627thornsἀκάνθαςakanthasG173and thistlesτριβόλουςtribolousG5146,it is worthlessἀδόκιμοςadokimosG96andcloseἐγγύς,engusG1451to being cursedκατάραςkatarasG2671, andit endsτέλοςtelosG5056up being burnedκαῦσιν.¶kausinG2740.

9But,belovedἀγαπητοί,agapētoiG27,we are convincedΠεπείσμεθαPepeismethaG3982of betterG2909thingsG2909concerningπερὶperiG4012you, and things thataccompanyἐχόμεναechomenaG2192salvationσωτηρίας,sōtēriasG4991,thoughεἰeiG1487 G2532we are speakingλαλοῦμεν.laloumenG2980in thisG3779wayG3779.
