James 3:11-18
11Does the fountain, out of the sameG846 opening, pour forth sweetG1099 and bitterG4089? 12Can, my brethren, a figG4808 produceG4160 olivesG1636, or a vineG288 figsG4810? Neither [can] salt [waterG5204] makeG4160 sweetG1099 waterG5204. 13Who [is] wiseG4680 and understanding among you; let him shew out of a goodG2570 conversation his worksG2041 in meekness of wisdomG4678; 14but if ye have bitterG4089 emulation and strife in your heartsG2588, do not boastG2620 and lieG5574 against the truthG225. 15This isG1510 not the wisdomG4678 which comes downG2718 from above, but earthlyG1919, naturalG5591, devilish. 16For whereG3699 emulation and strife [are], there [is] disorderG181 and every evilG5337 thingG4229. 17But the wisdomG4678 from above firstG4413 isG1510 pureG53, then peaceful, gentleG1933, yielding, fullG3324 of mercyG1656 and goodG18 fruitsG2590, unquestioning, unfeigned. 18But [the] fruitG2590 of righteousnessG1343 in peaceG1515 is sownG4687 for them that makeG4160 peaceG1515.
