2When it was reportedוַיֻּגַּ֗דvai.yu.GadH5046to the houseלְבֵ֤יתle.VeitH1004of Davidדָּוִד֙ לֵאמֹ֔רda.Vid le.MorH1732 H559that Aramאֲרָ֖ם עַל־'a.Ram 'al-H758 H5921was in league withנָ֥חָֽהNa.chahH5117Ephraimאֶפְרָ֑יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669,the heartsלְבָבוֹ֙le.va.VoH3824of Ahazוּלְבַ֣בu.le.VavH3824and his peopleעַמּ֔וֹa.MoH5971trembledוַיָּ֤נַעvai.Ya.na'H5128like treesעֲצֵי־'a.tzei-H6086in the forestיַ֖עַר מִפְּנֵי־Ya.'ar mi.pe.nei-H3293 H6440shakenכְּנ֥וֹעַke.No.a'H5128by the windרֽוּחַ׃Ru.achH7307.

3Then the LORDיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶֽל־'el-H413Isaiahיְשַׁעְיָהוּ֒ye.sha'.ya.HuH3470, “Go outצֵא־ נָא֙tze'- na'H3318 H4994with your sonבְּנֶ֑ךָbe.Ne.khaH1121Shear-jashubH7610to meetלִקְרַ֣אתlik.RatH7122Ahazאָחָ֔ז אַתָּ֕ה'a.Chaz 'a.TahH271 H859atאֶל־'el-H413the endקְצֵ֗הke.TzehH7097of the aqueductתְּעָלַת֙te.'a.LatH8585that feedsthe upperהָעֶלְיוֹנָ֔הha.'el.yo.NahH5945poolהַבְּרֵכָ֣הha.be.re.KhahH1295,onאֶל־'el-H413the roadמְסִלַּ֖תme.si.LatH4546to the Launderer’sכוֹבֵֽס׃kho.VesH3526Fieldשְׂדֵ֥הse.DehH7704,

4and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to himאֵ֠לָיו'E.lavH413:Calm downהִשָּׁמֵ֨רhi.sha.MerH8104and be quietוְהַשְׁקֵ֜טve.hash.KetH8252.Do notאַל־'al-H408be afraidתִּירָ֗אti.Ra'H3372or disheartenedוּלְבָבְךָ֙ אַל־ יֵרַ֔ךְu.le.va.ve.Kha 'al- ye.RakhH3824 H408 H7401over theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428twoמִשְּׁנֵ֨יmi.she.NeiH8147smolderingהָעֲשֵׁנִ֖יםha.'a.she.NimH6226stubsזַנְב֧וֹתzan.VotH2180of firewoodהָאוּדִ֛יםha.'u.DimH181—over the fierceבָּחֳרִי־bo.cho.ri-H2750angerאַ֛ף'afH639of Rezinרְצִ֥יןre.TzinH7526and Aramוַאֲרָ֖םva.'a.RamH758and of the sonוּבֶן־u.ven-H1121of Remaliahרְמַלְיָֽהוּ׃re.mal.Ya.huH7425.

5Forיַ֗עַן כִּֽי־Ya.'an ki-H3282 H3588Aramאֲרָ֖ם'a.RamH758,along with Ephraimאֶפְרַ֥יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669and the sonוּבֶן־u.ven-H1121of Remaliahרְמַלְיָ֖הוּre.mal.Ya.huH7425,has plottedיָעַ֥ץya.'AtzH3289your ruinעָלֶ֛יךָ רָעָ֑ה'a.Lei.kha ra.'AhH7451 H5921,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559:

6‘Let us invadeנַעֲלֶ֤הna.'a.LehH5927Judahבִֽיהוּדָה֙vi.hu.DahH3063,terrorize itוּנְקִיצֶ֔נָּהu.ne.ki.Tze.nahH6973,and divide itוְנַבְקִעֶ֖נָּהve.nav.ki.'E.nahH1234among ourselvesאֵלֵ֑ינוּ'e.Lei.nuH413.Then we can installמֶ֙לֶךְ֙Me.lekhH4428the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Tabealטָֽבְאַֽל׃ סTa.ve.'AlH2870over itבְּתוֹכָ֔הּbe.to.KhahH8432אֵ֖ת'etH853as kingוְנַמְלִ֥יךְve.nam.LikhH4427.’

8Forכִּ֣יkiH3588the headרֹ֤אשׁroshH7218of Aramאֲרָם֙'a.RamH758is Damascusדַּמֶּ֔שֶׂקda.Me.sekH1834, andthe headוְרֹ֥אשׁve.RoshH7218of Damascusדַּמֶּ֖שֶׂקda.Me.sekH1834is Rezinרְצִ֑יןre.TzinH7526.Withinוּבְע֗וֹדu.ve.'odH5750sixty-fiveשִׁשִּׁ֤ים וְחָמֵשׁ֙shi.Shim ve.cha.MeshH8346 H2568yearsשָׁנָ֔הsha.NahH8141Ephraimאֶפְרַ֖יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669will be shatteredיֵחַ֥תye.ChatH2865as a peopleמֵעָֽם׃me.'AmH5971.

9The headוְרֹ֤אשׁve.RoshH7218of Ephraimאֶפְרַ֙יִם֙'ef.Ra.yimH669is Samariaשֹׁמְר֔וֹןsho.me.RonH8111,and the headוְרֹ֥אשׁve.RoshH7218of Samariaשֹׁמְר֖וֹןsho.me.RonH8111is the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Remaliahרְמַלְיָ֑הוּre.mal.Ya.huH7425.Ifאִ֚ם'imH518you do notלֹ֣אlo'H3808stand firm in your faithתַאֲמִ֔ינוּta.'a.Mi.nuH539,thenכִּ֖יkiH3588you will notלֹ֥אlo'H3808stand at allתֵאָמֵֽנוּ׃ סte.'a.Me.nuH539.’”
