1“Woeה֣וֹיHoH1945to the rebelliousסֽוֹרְרִים֙so.RimH5637childrenבָּנִ֤יםba.NimH1121,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, “to those who carry outלַעֲשׂ֤וֹתla.'a.SotH6213a planעֵצָה֙'e.TzahH6098that isnotוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808Mineמִנִּ֔יmi.NiH4480,who formוְלִנְסֹ֥ךְve.lin.SokhH5258an allianceמַסֵּכָ֖הma.se.KhahH4541,but againstוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808My willרוּחִ֑י לְמַ֛עַןru.Chi le.Ma.'anH7307 H4616,heaping upסְפ֥וֹתse.FotH5595sinחַטָּ֖אתcha.TatH2403uponעַל־'al-H5921sinחַטָּֽאת׃cha.TatH2403.

2They set outהַהֹלְכִים֙ha.ho.le.KhimH1980to go downלָרֶ֣דֶתla.Re.detH3381to Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714withoutלֹ֣אlo'H3808askingשָׁאָ֑לוּsha.'A.luH7592My adviceוּפִ֖יu.FiH6310,to seek shelterלָעוֹז֙la.'OzH5756under Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547protectionבְּמָע֣וֹזbe.ma.'ozH4581and take refugeוְלַחְס֖וֹתve.lach.SotH2620in Egypt’sמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714shadeבְּצֵ֥לbe.TzelH6738.

3But Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֖הpar.'OhH6547protectionמָע֥וֹזma.'ozH4581will becomeוְהָיָ֥הve.ha.YahH1961yourshameלְבֹ֑שֶׁתle.Vo.shetH1322,and the refugeוְהֶחָס֥וּתve.he.cha.SutH2622of Egypt’sמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714shadeבְּצֵל־be.tzel-H6738your disgraceלִכְלִמָּֽה׃likh.li.MahH3639.

4For thoughכִּֽי־ki-H3588their princesשָׂרָ֑יוsa.RavH8269areהָי֥וּha.YuH1961at Zoanבְצֹ֖עַןve.Tzo.'anH6814and their envoysוּמַלְאָכָ֖יוu.mal.'a.KhavH4397have arrivedיַגִּֽיעוּ׃ya.Gi.'uH5060in Hanesחָנֵ֥סcha.NesH2609,

5everyoneכֹּ֣לkolH3605will be put to shameH887because ofעַל־'al-H5921a peopleעַ֖ם'amH5971uselessלֹא־ יוֹעִ֣ילוּlo'- yo.'I.luH3808 H3276to them.They bring neitherלֹ֤אlo'H3808helpלְעֵ֙זֶר֙le.'E.zerH5828norוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808benefitלְהוֹעִ֔ילle.ho.'IlH3276,butכִּ֥יkiH3588only shameלְבֹ֖שֶׁתle.Vo.shetH1322andוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571disgraceלְחֶרְפָּֽה׃ סle.cher.PahH2781.”

6This isthe burdenמַשָּׂ֖אma.Sa'H4853against the beastsבַּהֲמ֣וֹתba.ha.MotH929of the Negevנֶ֑גֶבNe.gevH5045:Through a landבְּאֶרֶץ֩be.'e.RetzH776of hardshipצָרָ֨הtza.RahH6869and distressוְצוּקָ֜הve.tzu.KahH6695,of lionessלָבִ֧יאla.Vi'H3833and lionוָלַ֣יִשׁva.La.yishH3918,of viperאֶפְעֶה֙'ef.'EhH660and flyingמְעוֹפֵ֔ףme.'o.FefH5774serpentוְשָׂרָ֣ףve.sa.RafH8314,they carryיִשְׂאוּ֩yis.'UH5375their wealthחֵֽילֵהֶ֗םchei.le.HemH2428onעַל־'al-H5921the backsכֶּ֨תֶףKe.tefH3802of donkeysעֲיָרִ֜ים'a.ya.RimH5895and their treasuresאֽוֹצְרֹתָ֔ם'otz.ro.TamH214onוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921the humpsדַּבֶּ֤שֶׁתda.Be.shetH1707of camelsגְּמַלִּים֙ge.ma.LimH1581,toעַל־'al-H5921a peopleעַ֖ם'amH5971of noלֹ֥אlo'H3808profit to themיוֹעִֽילוּ׃yo.'I.luH3276.
