Hebrews 7:16-24
16who hath been made, not after the lawG3551 of a carnal commandmentG1785, but after the powerG1411 of an endless lifeG2222: 17for it is witnessedG3140 of him,
18For there is a disannulling of a foregoing commandmentG1785 because of its weaknessG772 and unprofitableness 19(for the lawG3551 madeG5048 nothing perfectG5048), and a bringing in thereupon of a better hopeG1680, through which we drawG1448 nigh unto GodG2316. 20And inasmuch as it isG1510 not without the taking of an oathG3728 21(for they indeed have been made priestsG2409 without an oathG3728; but he with an oathG3728 by him that saith of him,
22by so muchG5118 alsoG2532 hath JesusG2424 becomeG1096 the surety of a better covenantG1242. 23And they indeed have beenG1510 made priestsG2409 manyG4183 in number, because that by deathG2288 they areG1510 hinderedG2967 from continuingG3887: 24but he, because he abideth for ever, hath his priesthoodG2420 unchangeable.
