Exodus 20:18-26

18And all the peopleH5971 perceived the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the voiceH6963 of the trumpetH7782, and the mountainH2022 smokingH6226: and when the peopleH5971 sawH7200 it, they trembled, and stoodH5975 afarH7350 off. 19And they saidH559 unto MosesH4872, SpeakH1696 thou with us, and we will hearH8085; but let not GodH430 speakH1696 with us, lestH6435 we dieH4191. 20And MosesH4872 saidH559 unto the peopleH5971, FearH3374 not: for GodH430 is comeH935 to prove you, and that his fearH3374 may beH1961 before you, that ye sinH2398 not. 21And the peopleH5971 stoodH5975 afarH7350 off, and MosesH4872 drewH5066 near unto the thickH6205 darknessH6205 whereH834 GodH430 was.

22And Jehovah saidH559 unto MosesH4872, ThusH3541 thou shalt sayH559 unto the children of IsraelH3478, Ye yourselves have seenH7200 that I have talked with you from heavenH8064. 23Ye shall not makeH6213 other godsH430 with me; godsH430 of silverH3701, or godsH430 of goldH2091, ye shall not makeH6213 unto you. 24An altarH4196 of earthH127 thou shalt makeH6213 unto me, and shalt sacrificeH2076 thereon thy burnt-offerings, and thy peace-offerings, thy sheepH6629, and thine oxenH1241: in every placeH4725 whereH834 I record my nameH8034 I will comeH935 unto thee and I will blessH1288 thee. 25And if thou makeH6213 me an altarH4196 of stoneH68, thou shalt not buildH1129 it of hewnH1496 stonesH68; for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. 26Neither shalt thou goH5927 up by stepsH4609 unto mine altarH4196, that thy nakednessH6172 be not uncoveredH1540 thereon.
