Peter 2:17-22
These areG1510 springsG4077 without waterG504, and mists driven by a stormG2978; for whom the blackness of darknessG4655 hath beenG1510 reserved.
For, uttering great swelling words of vanity, they entice in the lustsG1939 of the fleshG4561, by lasciviousness, those who are just escaping from them that live in errorG4106;
promisingG1861 them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for of whom a manG3778 is overcome, of the sameG846 is he alsoG2532 brought into bondageG1402.
For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the worldG2889 through the knowledgeG1922 of the LordG2962 and Saviour JesusG2424 ChristG5547, they are againG3825 entangled therein and overcome, the lastG2078 state is becomeG1096 worse with them than the firstG4413.
For it wereG1510 better for them not to have knownG1921 the wayG3598 of righteousnessG1343, than, after knowing it, to turn backG5290 from the holyG40 commandmentG1785 deliveredG3860 unto them.
It has happenedG4819 unto them according to the trueG227 proverb, The dogG2965 turningG1994 to his ownG2398 vomit again, and the sow that had washedG3068 to wallowing in the mire.
