3For thecustomsחֻקּ֥וֹתchu.KotH2708of thepeoplesהָֽעַמִּ֖יםha.'a.MimH5971arevanityהֶ֣בֶלHe.velH1892: for one cutteth atreeעֵץ֙'etzH6086outH3027of theforestמִיַּ֣עַרmi.Ya.'arH3293, theworkמַעֲשֵׂ֥הma.'a.SehH4639of thehandsיְדֵ֥י־ye.Dei-H3027of the workman with the axe.

4They deck it withsilverבְּכֶ֥סֶףbe.Khe.sefH3701and withgoldוּבְזָהָ֖בu.ve.za.HavH2091; theyfastenיְחַזְּק֖וּםye.cha.ze.KumH2388it withnailsבְּמַסְמְר֧וֹתbe.mas.me.RotH4548and withhammersוּבְמַקָּב֛וֹתu.ve.ma.ka.VotH4717, that it movenotוְל֥וֹאve.Lo'H3808.

5They are like apalmH8560treeH8560, of turnedworkH4749, andspeakיְדַבֵּ֔רוּye.da.Be.ruH1696notH3808: theymustוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571needs beborneH5375,becauseH3588theycannotH3808goH3190. BenotH3808afraidתִּֽירְא֤וּti.re.'UH3372of them; for theycannotH3808doH3190evilיָרֵ֔עוּya.Re.'uH7489,neitherH3808is it in them todoH3190goodהֵיטֵ֖יבhei.TeivH3190.
