2And now will I shewאַגִּ֣יד'a.GidH5046thee the truthאֱמֶ֖ת'e.MetH571.Behold, there shall stand upעֹמְדִ֣ים'o.me.DimH5975yet threeשְׁלֹשָׁ֨הshe.lo.ShahH7969kingsמְלָכִ֜יםme.la.KhimH4428in Persiaלְפָרַ֗סle.fa.RasH6539;and the fourthוְהָֽרְבִיעִי֙ve.ha.re.vi.'IH7243shall be farעֹֽשֶׁר־'o.sher-H6239richerיַעֲשִׁ֤ירya.'a.ShirH6238than theyallגָּדוֹל֙ga.dOlH1419:and by his strengthוּכְחֶזְקָת֣וֹu.khe.chez.ka.ToH2393through his richesבְעָשְׁר֔וֹve.'a.she.RoH6239he shall stir upיָעִ֣ירya.'IrH5782all against the realmמַלְכ֥וּתmal.KhutH4438of Greciaיָוָֽן׃ya.VanH3120.

3And a mightyגִּבּ֑וֹרgi.BorH1368kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428shall stand upוְעָמַ֖דve.'a.MadH5975,that shall ruleוּמָשַׁל֙u.ma.ShalH4910with greatרַ֔בRavH7227dominionמִמְשָׁ֣לmi.ShalH4474,and doוְעָשָׂ֖הve.'a.SahH6213according to his willכִּרְצוֹנֽוֹ׃kir.tzo.NoH7522.

4And when he shall stand upוּכְעָמְדוֹ֙u.khe.'a.me.DoH5975,his kingdomמַלְכוּת֔וֹmal.khu.ToH4438shall be brokenתִּשָּׁבֵ֣רti.sha.VerH7665,and shall be dividedוְתֵחָ֕ץve.te.ChatzH2673toward the fourלְאַרְבַּ֖עle.'ar.Ba'H702windsרוּח֣וֹתru.ChotH7307of heavenהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064;and not to his posterityלְאַחֲרִית֗וֹle.'a.cha.ri.ToH319,nor according to his dominionכְמָשְׁלוֹ֙khe.ma.she.LoH4915which he ruledמָשָׁ֔לma.ShalH4910:for his kingdomמַלְכוּת֔וֹmal.khu.ToH4438shall be plucked upתִנָּתֵשׁ֙ti.na.TeshH5428,even for othersוְלַאֲחֵרִ֖יםve.la.'a.che.RimH312beside those.

5And the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of the southהַנֶּ֖גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045shall be strongוְיֶחֱזַ֥קve.ye.che.ZakH2388, and oneof his princesשָׂרָ֑יוsa.RavH8269;and he shall be strongוְיֶחֱזַ֤קve.ye.che.ZakH2388above him, and have dominionוּמָשָׁ֔לu.ma.ShalH4910;his dominionמֶמְשַׁלְתּֽוֹ׃mem.shal.ToH4475shall bea greatרַ֖בravH7227dominionמִמְשָׁ֥לmi.ShalH4474.

9So the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of the southהַנֶּ֔גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045shall comeוּבָ֗אu.Va'H935into hiskingdomבְּמַלְכוּת֙be.mal.KhutH4438,and shall returnוְשָׁ֖בve.ShavH7725into his own landאַדְמָתֽוֹ׃'ad.ma.ToH127.

10But his sonsוּבָנָ֣יוuv.novH1121shall be stirred upיִתְגָּר֗וּyit.ga.RuH1624,and shall assembleוְאָסְפוּ֙ve.'a.se.FuH622a multitudeהֲמוֹן֙ha.mOnH1995of greatרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227forcesחֲיָלִ֣יםcha.ya.LimH2428: and oneshall certainlyוּבָ֥אu.Va'H935comeב֖וֹאVo'H935,and overflowוְשָׁטַ֣ףve.sha.TafH7857,and pass throughוְעָבָ֑רve.'a.VarH5674:then shall he returnוְיָשֹׁ֥בve.ya.ShoH7725,and be stirred upוְיִתְגָּרֶ֖הve.yit.ga.ruH1624, evento his fortressמָעֻזּֽוֹ׃ma.'u.zoH4581.

11And the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of the southהַנֶּ֔גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045shall be moved with cholerוְיִתְמַרְמַר֙ve.yit.mar.MarH4843,and shall come forthוְיָצָ֕אve.ya.Tza'H3318and fightוְנִלְחַ֥םve.nil.ChamH3898with him, evenwith the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of the northהַצָּפ֑וֹןha.tza.FonH6828:and he shall set forthוְהֶעֱמִיד֙ve.he.'e.MidH5975a greatרָ֔בRavH7227multitudeהָמ֣וֹןha.MonH1995;but the multitudeהֶהָמ֖וֹןhe.ha.MonH1995shall be givenוְנִתַּ֥ןve.ni.TanH5414into his handבְּיָדֽוֹ׃be.ya.DoH3027.

12Andwhen he hath taken awayוְנִשָּׂ֥אve.ni.Sa'H5375the multitudeהֶהָמ֖וֹןhe.ha.MonH1995,his heartלְבָב֑וֹle.va.VoH3824shall be lifted upוְרָ֣םve.RumH7311;and he shall cast downוְהִפִּ֛ילve.hi.PilH5307manyten thousandsרִבֹּא֖וֹתri.bo.'otH7239:but he shall not be strengthenedיָעֽוֹז׃ya.'ozH5810by it.

13For the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of the northהַצָּפ֔וֹןha.tza.FonH6828shall returnוְשָׁב֙ve.ShavH7725,and shall set forthוְהֶעֱמִ֣ידve.he.'e.MidH5975a multitudeהָמ֔וֹןha.MonH1995greaterרַ֖בravH7227than the formerהָרִאשׁ֑וֹןha.ri.ShonH7223,and shall certainlyיָ֣בוֹאYa.Vo'H935comeב֔וֹאVo'H935afterוּלְקֵ֨ץu.le.KetzH7093certainהָֽעִתִּ֤יםha.'i.TimH6256yearsשָׁנִים֙sha.NimH8141with a greatגָּד֖וֹלga.DolH1419armyבְּחַ֥יִלbe.Cha.yilH2428and with muchרָֽב׃RavH7227richesוּבִרְכ֥וּשׁu.vir.KhushH7399.

14And in those timesוּבָעִתִּ֣יםu.va.'i.TimH6256there shall manyרַבִּ֥יםra.BimH7227stand upיַֽעַמְד֖וּya.'am.DuH5975against the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of the southהַנֶּ֑גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045:also the robbersוּבְנֵ֣י׀ פָּרִיצֵ֣יu.ve.Nei pa.ri.TzeiH6530 H1121of thy peopleעַמְּךָ֗'a.me.KhaH5971shall exaltיִֽנַּשְּׂא֛וּyi.na.se.'UH5375themselves to establishלְהַעֲמִ֥ידle.ha.'a.MidH5975the visionחָז֖וֹןcha.ZonH2377;but they shall fallוְנִכְשָֽׁלוּ׃ve.nikh.Sha.luH3782.

15So the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of the northהַצָּפ֔וֹןha.tza.FonH6828shall comeוְיָבֹא֙ve.ya.Vo'H935,and cast upוְיִשְׁפֹּךְ֙ve.yish.poKhH8210a mountסֽוֹלֲלָ֔הso.la.LahH5550,and takeוְלָכַ֖דve.la.KhadH3920the most fencedמִבְצָר֑וֹתmiv.tza.RotH4013citiesעִ֣יר'irH5892:and the armsוּזְרֹע֤וֹתu.ze.ro.'otH2220of the southהַנֶּ֙גֶב֙ha.Ne.gevH5045shall not withstandיַעֲמֹ֔דוּya.'a.Mo.duH5975,neither his chosenמִבְחָרָ֔יוmiv.cha.RavH4005peopleוְעַם֙ve.'AmH5971, neither shall there be anystrengthכֹּ֖חַKo.achH3581to withstandלַעֲמֹֽד׃la.'a.ModH5975.

16But he that comethהַבָּ֤אha.Ba'H935against him shall doוְיַ֨עַשׂve.Ya.'asH6213according to his own willכִּרְצוֹנ֔וֹkir.tzo.NoH7522,and none shall standעוֹמֵ֖דo.MedH5975beforeלְפָנָ֑יוle.fa.NavH6440him: and he shall standוְיַעֲמֹ֥דve.ya.'a.ModH5975in the gloriousהַצְּבִ֖יha.tze.ViH6643landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776,which by his handבְיָדֽוֹ׃ve.ya.DoH3027shall be consumedוְכָלָ֥הve.kha.LahH3617.

17He shall also setוְיָשֵׂ֣ם׀ve.ya.SemH7760his faceפָּ֠נָיוPa.navH6440to enterלָב֞וֹאla.Vo'H935with the strengthבְּתֹ֧קֶףbe.To.kefH8633of his whole kingdomמַלְכוּת֛וֹmal.khu.ToH4438,and upright onesוִישָׁרִ֥יםvi.sha.RimH3477with him; thus shall he doוְעָשָׂ֑הve.'a.SahH6213:and he shall giveיִתֶּן־yi.ten-H5414him the daughterוּבַ֤תu.VatH1323of womenהַנָּשִׁים֙ha.na.ShimH802,corruptingלְהַשְׁחִיתָ֔הּle.hash.chi.TahH7843her: but she shall not standתַעֲמֹ֖דta.'a.ModH5975on his side, neither be for him.

18After this shall he turnוְיָשֵׂ֧ם יָשִׁ֥יבve.ya.sev ya.ShivH7725 H7760his faceפָּנָ֛יוpa.NavH6440unto the islesלְאִיִּ֖יםle.'i.YimH339,and shall takeוְלָכַ֣דve.la.KhadH3920manyרַבִּ֑יםra.BimH7227:but a princeקָצִ֤יןka.TzinH7101for his own behalf shall cause the reproachחֶרְפָּתוֹ֙cher.pa.ToH2781offered by him to ceaseוְהִשְׁבִּ֨יתve.hish.BitH7673;withoutבִּלְתִּ֥יbil.TiH1115his own reproachחֶרְפָּת֖וֹcher.pa.ToH2781he shall cause itto turnH7725upon him.

19Then he shall turnוְיָשֵׁ֣בve.ya.ShevH7725his faceפָּנָ֔יוpa.NavH6440toward the fortלְמָעוּזֵּ֖יle.ma.'u.ZeiH4581of his own landאַרְצ֑וֹ'ar.TzoH776:but he shall stumbleוְנִכְשַׁ֥לve.nikh.ShalH3782and fallוְנָפַ֖לve.na.FalH5307,and not be foundיִמָּצֵֽא׃yi.ma.Tze'H4672.

20Then shall stand upוְעָמַ֧דve.'a.MadH5975in his estateכַּנּ֛וֹka.NoH3653a raiserמַעֲבִ֥ירma.'a.VirH5674of taxesנוֹגֵ֖שׂno.GesH5065inthe gloryהֶ֣דֶרHe.derH1925of the kingdomמַלְכ֑וּתmal.KhutH4438:but within fewאֲחָדִים֙'a.cha.DimH259daysוּבְיָמִ֤יםuv.ya.MimH3117he shall be destroyedיִשָּׁבֵ֔רyi.sha.VerH7665,neither in angerבְאַפַּ֖יִםve.'a.Pa.yimH639,nor in battleבְמִלְחָמָֽה׃ve.mil.cha.MahH4421.

21And in his estateכַּנּוֹ֙ka.NoH3653shall stand upוְעָמַ֤דve.'a.MadH5975a vile personנִבְזֶ֔הniv.ZehH959,to whom they shall not giveנָתְנ֥וּna.te.NuH5414the honourה֣וֹדHodH1935of the kingdomמַלְכ֑וּתmal.KhutH4438:but he shall comeוּבָ֣אu.Va'H935in peaceablyבְשַׁלְוָ֔הve.shal.VahH7962,and obtainוְהֶחֱזִ֥יקve.he.che.ZikH2388the kingdomמַלְכ֖וּתmal.KhutH4438by flatteriesבַּחֲלַקְלַקּֽוֹת׃ba.cha.lak.la.KotH2519.

22And with the armsוּזְרֹע֥וֹתu.ze.ro.'otH2220of a floodהַשֶּׁ֛טֶףha.She.tefH7858shall they be overflownיִשָּׁטְפ֥וּyi.sha.te.FuH7857from beforeמִלְּפָנָ֖יוmi.le.fa.NavH6440him, and shall be brokenוְיִשָּׁבֵ֑רוּve.yi.sha.Ve.ruH7665;yea, also the princeנְגִ֥ידne.GidH5057of the covenantבְּרִֽית׃be.RitH1285.

23And after the leagueהִֽתְחַבְּר֥וּתhit.cha.be.RutH2266madewith him he shall workיַעֲשֶׂ֣הya.'a.SehH6213deceitfullyמִרְמָ֑הmir.MahH4820:for he shall come upוְעָלָ֥הve.'a.LahH5927,and shall become strongוְעָצַ֖םve.'a.TzamH6105with a smallבִּמְעַט־bim.'at-H4592peopleגּֽוֹי׃GoyH1471.

24He shall enterיָבוֹא֒ya.Vo'H935peaceablyבְּשַׁלְוָ֞הbe.shal.VahH7962even upon the fattest placesוּבְמִשְׁמַנֵּ֣יuv.mish.ma.NeiH4924of the provinceמְדִינָה֮me.di.NahH4082;and he shall doוְעָשָׂ֗הve.'a.SahH6213thatwhich his fathersאֲבֹתָיו֙'a.vo.TavH1have not doneעָשׂ֤וּ'a.SuH6213,nor his fathers’וַאֲב֣וֹתva.'a.VotH1fathersאֲבֹתָ֔יו'a.vo.TavH1;he shall scatterיִבְז֑וֹרyiv.ZorH967among them the preyבִּזָּ֧הbi.ZahH961,and spoilוְשָׁלָ֛לve.sha.LalH7998,and richesוּרְכ֖וּשׁu.re.KhushH7399: yea,and he shall deviseיְחַשֵּׁ֥בye.cha.ShevH2803his devicesמַחְשְׁבֹתָ֖יוmach.she.vo.TavH4284against the strong holdsמִבְצָרִ֛יםmiv.tza.RimH4013,even for a timeעֵֽת׃'EtH6256.

25And he shall stir upוְיָעֵר֩ve.ya.'ErH5782his powerכֹּח֨וֹko.ChoH3581and his courageוּלְבָב֜וֹu.le.va.VoH3824against the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of the southהַנֶּגֶב֮ha.ne.GevH5045with a greatגָּדוֹל֒ga.dOlH1419armyבְּחַ֣יִלbe.Cha.yilH2428;and the kingוּמֶ֣לֶךְu.Me.lekhH4428of the southהַנֶּ֗גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045shall be stirred upיִתְגָּרֶה֙yit.ga.RehH1624to battleלַמִּלְחָמָ֔הla.mil.cha.MahH4421with a veryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966greatגָּד֥וֹלga.DolH1419and mightyוְעָצ֖וּםve.'a.TzumH6099armyבְּחַֽיִל־be.cha.yil-H2428;but he shall not standיַעֲמֹ֔דya.'a.ModH5975:for they shall deviseיַחְשְׁב֥וּyach.she.VuH2803devicesמַחֲשָׁבֽוֹת׃ma.cha.sha.VotH4284against him.

26Yea, they that feedוְאֹכְלֵ֧יve.'o.khe.LeiH398of the portion of his meatH6598shall destroyיִשְׁבְּר֖וּהוּyish.be.Ru.huH7665him, and his armyוְחֵיל֣וֹve.chei.LoH2428shall overflowיִשְׁט֑וֹףyish.TofH7857:and manyרַבִּֽים׃ra.BimH7227shall fallוְנָפְל֖וּve.na.fe.LuH5307down slainחֲלָלִ֥יםcha.la.LimH2491.

27And bothוּשְׁנֵיהֶ֤םu.she.nei.HemH8147these kings’הַמְּלָכִים֙ha.me.la.KhimH4428heartsלְבָבָ֣םle.va.VamH3824shall beto do mischiefלְמֵרָ֔עle.me.Ra'H7451 H4827,and they shall speakיְדַבֵּ֑רוּye.da.Be.ruH1696liesכָּזָ֣בka.ZavH3577at oneאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259tableשֻׁלְחָ֥ןshul.ChanH7979;but it shall not prosperתִצְלָ֔חtitz.LachH6743:for yet the endקֵ֖ץketzH7093shall beat the time appointedלַמּוֹעֵֽד׃la.mo.'EdH4150.

28Then shall he returnוְיָשֹׁ֤בve.ya.ShoH7725into his landאַרְצוֹ֙'ar.TzoH776with greatגָּד֔וֹלga.DolH1419richesבִּרְכ֣וּשׁbir.KhushH7399;and his heartוּלְבָב֖וֹu.le.va.VoH3824shall beagainst the holyקֹ֑דֶשׁKo.deshH6944covenantבְּרִ֣יתbe.RitH1285;and he shall doוְעָשָׂ֖הve.'a.SahH6213exploits,and returnוְשָׁ֥בve.ShavH7725to his own landלְאַרְצֽוֹ׃le.'ar.TzoH776.

29At the time appointedלַמּוֹעֵ֥דla.mo.'EdH4150he shall returnיָשׁ֖וּבya.ShuvH7725,and comeוּבָ֣אu.Va'H935toward the southבַנֶּ֑גֶבva.Ne.gevH5045;but it shall not be as the formerכָרִאשֹׁנָ֖הkha.ri.sho.NahH7223,or as the latterוְכָאַחֲרֹנָֽה׃ve.kha.'a.cha.ro.NahH314.

30For the shipsצִיִּ֤יםtzi.YimH6716of Chittimכִּתִּים֙ki.TimH3794shall comeוּבָ֨אוּu.Va.'uH935against him: therefore he shall be grievedוְנִכְאָ֔הve.nikh.'AhH3512,and returnוְשָׁ֛בve.ShavH7725,and have indignationוְזָעַ֥םve.za.'AmH2194against the holyק֖וֹדֶשׁKo.deshH6944covenantבְּרִֽית־be.rit-H1285:so shall he doוְעָשָׂ֑הve.'a.SahH6213;he shall even returnוְשָׁ֣בve.ShavH7725,and have regardוְיָבֵ֔ןve.ya.VenH995for them that forsakeעֹזְבֵ֖י'o.ze.VeiH5800the holyקֹֽדֶשׁ׃Ko.deshH6944covenantבְּרִ֥יתbe.RitH1285.

31And armsוּזְרֹעִ֖יםu.ze.ro.'ImH2220shall standיַעֲמֹ֑דוּya.'a.Mo.duH5975on his part, and they shall polluteוְחִלְּל֞וּve.chi.le.LuH2490the sanctuaryהַמִּקְדָּ֤שׁha.mik.DashH4720of strengthהַמָּעוֹז֙ha.ma.'OzH4581,and shall take awayוְהֵסִ֣ירוּve.he.Si.ruH5493the dailyהַתָּמִ֔ידha.ta.MidH8548sacrifice,and they shall placeוְנָתְנ֖וּve.na.te.NuH5414the abominationהַשִּׁקּ֥וּץha.shi.KutzH8251that maketh desolateמְשׁוֹמֵֽם׃me.sho.MemH8074.

32And such as do wickedlyוּמַרְשִׁיעֵ֣יu.mar.shi.'EiH7561against the covenantבְרִ֔יתve.RitH1285shall he corruptיַחֲנִ֖יףya.cha.NifH2610by flatteriesבַּחֲלַקּ֑וֹתba.cha.la.KotH2514:but the peopleוְעַ֛םve.'AmH5971that do knowיֹדְעֵ֥יyo.de.'EiH3045their Godאֱלֹהָ֖יו'e.lo.HavH430shall be strongיַחֲזִ֥קוּya.cha.Zi.kuH2388,and doוְעָשֽׂוּ׃ve.'a.SuH6213exploits.
