14And when Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063looked backוַיִּפְנ֣וּvai.yif.NuH6437,behold, the battleהַמִּלְחָמָה֙ha.mil.cha.MahH4421wasbeforeפָּנִ֣יםpa.NimH6440and behindוְאָח֔וֹרve.'a.ChorH268:and they criedוַֽיִּצְעֲק֖וּvai.yitz.'a.KuH6817unto Yhwhלַיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068,and the priestsוְהַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔יםve.ha.Ko.ha.NimH3548soundedמַחְצְרִ֖יםma.cha.tzo.tze.rimH2690with the trumpetsבַּחֲצֹצְרֽוֹת׃ba.cha.tzo.tze.RotH2689.

15Then the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063gave a shoutוַיָּרִ֖יעוּvai.ya.Ri.'uH7321:and as the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063shoutedבְּהָרִ֙יעַ֙be.ha.Ri.a'H7321,it came to pass, that Godוְהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםve.ha.'E.lo.HimH430smoteנָגַ֤ףna.GafH5062Jeroboamיָֽרָבְעָם֙ya.ra.ve.'AmH3379and all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440Abijahאֲבִיָּ֖ה'a.vi.YahH29and Judahוִיהוּדָֽה׃vi.hu.DahH3063.

16And the childrenבְנֵי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478fledוַיָּנ֥וּסוּvai.ya.Nu.suH5127beforeמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH6440Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063:and Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430deliveredוַיִּתְּנֵ֥םvai.yi.te.NemH5414them into their handבְּיָדָֽם׃be.ya.DamH3027.

17And Abijahאֲבִיָּ֥ה'a.vi.YahH29and his peopleוְעַמּ֖וֹve.'a.MoH5971slewוַיַּכּ֥וּvai.ya.KuH5221them with a greatרַבָּ֑הra.BahH7227slaughterמַכָּ֣הma.KahH4347:so there fell downוַיִּפְּל֤וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307slainחֲלָלִים֙cha.la.LimH2491of Israelמִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֔לmi.Yis.ra.'ElH3478fiveחֲמֵשׁ־cha.mesh-H2568hundredמֵא֥וֹתme.'otH3967thousandאֶ֖לֶף'E.lefH505chosenבָּחֽוּר׃ba.ChurH977menאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376.

18Thus the childrenבְנֵי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478were broughtוַיִּכָּנְע֥וּvai.yi.ka.ne.'UH3665under at that timeבָּעֵ֣תba.'EtH6256,and the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063prevailedוַיֶּֽאֶמְצוּ֙vai.ye.'em.TzuH553,because they reliedנִשְׁעֲנ֔וּnish.'a.NuH8172upon Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of their fathersאֲבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃'a.vo.tei.HemH1.
