11Then the LordH3068 saidH559 to MosesH4872, “GoH935 to PharaohH6547 and sayH559 to him, ‘ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: “2LetH7971 My peopleH5971 goH7971, so that they may serveH5647 Me. 2But ifH518 you refuseH3986 to letH7971 them goH7971, beholdH2009, I am going to strikeH5062 your entireH3605 territoryH1366 with frogsH6854. 3The NileH2975 will 3swarmH8317 with frogsH6854, which will comeH5927 upH5927 and goH935 into your houseH1004, and into your bedroomH2315H4904 and on your bedH4296, and into the housesH1004 of your servantsH5650, and on your peopleH5971, and into your ovensH8574 and kneadingH4863 bowlsH4863. 4So the frogsH6854 will comeH5927 upH5927 on you, your peopleH5971, and on allH3605 your servantsH5650.”’” 54Then the LordH3068 saidH559 to MosesH4872, “SayH559 to AaronH175, ‘5ExtendH5186 your handH3027 with your staffH4294 overH5921 the riversH5104, overH5921 the 6streamsH2975, and overH5921 the poolsH98, and make frogsH6854 comeH5927 upH5927 on the landH776 of EgyptH4714.’” 6So AaronH175 extendedH5186 his handH3027 overH5921 the watersH4325 of EgyptH4714, and the 78frogsH6854 cameH5927 upH5927 and coveredH3680 the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 7However, 9the soothsayerH2748 priestsH2748 didH6213 the sameH3651 with their secretH3909 artsH3909, 10making frogsH6854 comeH5927 upH5927 on the landH776 of EgyptH4714.

8Then PharaohH6547 11calledH7121 for MosesH4872 and AaronH175 and saidH559, “12PleadH6279 with the LordH3068 13to removeH5493 the frogsH6854 from me and from my peopleH5971; and 14I will letH7971 the peopleH5971 goH7971, so that they may sacrificeH2076 to the LordH3068.” 9And MosesH4872 saidH559 to PharaohH6547, “15TheH6286 honorH6286 isH6286 yoursH6286 to tell me: whenH4970 shall I pleadH6279 for you and your servantsH5650 and your peopleH5971, 16that the frogsH6854 be destroyedH3772 from you and your housesH1004, that they be leftH7604 onlyH7534 in the NileH2975?”

10Then he saidH559, “TomorrowH4279.” So he saidH559, “May it be according to your wordH1697, soH4616 thatH4616 you may knowH3045 that thereH369 isH369 17noH369 oneH369 like the LordH3068 our GodH430. 11The 18frogsH6854 will departH5493 from you and your housesH1004, and from your servantsH5650 and your peopleH5971; they will be leftH7604 onlyH7534 in the NileH2975.” 12Then MosesH4872 and AaronH175 wentH3318 outH3318 from PharaohH6547, and 19MosesH4872 criedH6817 outH6817 to the LordH3068 concerningH5921H1697 the frogsH6854 whichH834 He had 20inflictedH7760 upon PharaohH6547. 13The LordH3068 didH6213 according to the wordH1697 of MosesH4872, and the frogsH6854 diedH4191 out of the housesH1004, the courtyardsH2691, and the fieldsH7704. 14So they piledH6651 them in heapsH2563, and the landH776 stankH887. 15But when PharaohH6547 sawH7200 that there was reliefH7309, he 21hardenedH3513 his heartH3820 and 22did not listenH8085 to them, justH3512 asH3512 the LordH3068 had saidH1696.

The Plague of Insects

16Then the LordH3068 saidH559 to MosesH4872, “SayH559 to AaronH175, ‘ExtendH5186 your staffH4294 and strikeH5221 the dustH6083 of the earthH776, so that it may turnH1961 into 23gnatsH3654 through allH3605 the landH776 of EgyptH4714.’” 17They didH6213 soH3651; and AaronH175 extendedH5186 his handH3027 with his staffH4294 and struckH5221 the dustH6083 of the earthH776, and there were 24gnatsH3654 on every 25personH120 and animalH929. 20Then the LordH3068 saidH559 to MosesH4872, “33RiseH7925 earlyH7925 in the morningH1242 and presentH3320 yourself beforeH6440 PharaohH6547, 34as 35he comesH3318 outH3318 to the waterH4325; and sayH559 to him, ‘ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: “36LetH7971 My peopleH5971 goH7971, so that they may serveH5647 Me. 21For ifH518 you are not going to letH7971 My peopleH5971 goH7971, beholdH2009, I will sendH7971 swarmsH6157 ofH6157 fliesH6157 on you and on your servantsH5650 and on your peopleH5971, and into your housesH1004; and the housesH1004 of the EgyptiansH4714 will be fullH4390 of swarmsH6157 ofH6157 fliesH6157, and alsoH1571 the groundH127 on whichH834 they live. 2237But on that dayH3117 I will setH6395 apartH6395 the landH776 of GoshenH1657, whereH834 My peopleH5971 are 38livingH5975, so that noH1115 swarmsH6157 ofH6157 fliesH6157 will be thereH8033, inH4616 orderH4616 thatH4616 you may knowH3045 that 3940I, the LordH3068, am in the midstH7130 of the landH776. 23I will 41putH7760 a divisionH6304 betweenH996 My peopleH5971 and your peopleH5971. TomorrowH4279 thisH2088 signH226 will occurH1961.”’” 24Then the LordH3068 didH6213 soH3651. And 42thickH3515 swarmsH6157 ofH6157 fliesH6157 enteredH935 the houseH1004 of PharaohH6547 and the housesH1004 of his servantsH5650, and the landH776 was 43laidH7843 wasteH7843 becauseH4480H6440 of the swarmsH6157 ofH6157 fliesH6157 in allH3605 the landH776 of EgyptH4714.

25Then PharaohH6547 44calledH7121 for MosesH4872 and AaronH175 and saidH559, “45GoH1980, sacrificeH2076 to your GodH430 within the landH776.” 26But MosesH4872 saidH559, “It isH3559 not permissibleH3559 for us to doH6213 soH3651, becauseH3588 we will sacrificeH2076 to the LordH3068 our GodH430 46that which is 47an abominationH8441 to the EgyptiansH4714. IfH2005 we sacrificeH2076 48that which is an abominationH8441 to the EgyptiansH4714 before their eyesH5869, will they not stoneH5619 us? 27We must goH1980 a 49threeH7969 days’H3117 journeyH1870 into the wildernessH4057 and sacrificeH2076 to the LordH3068 our GodH430, justH3512 asH3512 He 50commandsH559 us.” 28PharaohH6547 saidH559, “51I will letH7971 you goH7971, so that you may sacrificeH2076 to the LordH3068 your GodH430 in the wildernessH4057; onlyH7534 you shall not goH1980 veryH7368 farH7368 away. 52PleadH6279 for me.” 29Then MosesH4872 saidH559, “BeholdH2009, I am going to leaveH3318H4480 you, and I will pleadH6279 with the LordH3068 that the swarmsH6157 ofH6157 fliesH6157 may departH5493 from PharaohH6547, from his servantsH5650, and from his peopleH5971 tomorrowH4279; onlyH7534 do not let PharaohH6547 53dealH8524 deceitfullyH8524 againH3254 in not lettingH7971 the peopleH5971 goH7971 to sacrificeH2076 to the LordH3068.”

30So 54MosesH4872 leftH3318H4480 PharaohH6547 and pleadedH6279 with the LordH3068. 31The LordH3068 didH6213 55as MosesH4872 askedH1697, and removedH5493 the swarmsH6157 ofH6157 fliesH6157 from PharaohH6547, from his servantsH5650, and from his peopleH5971; not oneH259 remainedH7604. 32But PharaohH6547 56hardenedH3513 his heartH3820 thisH2088 timeH6471 alsoH1571, and 57he did not letH7971 the peopleH5971 goH7971.
