33The Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068further spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֣רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872and to Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559:

34“Whenכִּ֤יkiH3588you enterתָבֹ֙אוּ֙ta.Vo.'uH935the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנַ֔עַןke.Na.'anH3667,whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I am givingנֹתֵ֥ןno.TenH5414you as a possessionלַאֲחֻזָּ֑הla.'a.chu.ZahH272,and I putוְנָתַתִּי֙ve.na.ta.TiH5414a spotנֶ֣גַעNe.ga'H5061of leprosyצָרַ֔עַתtza.Ra.'atH6883on a houseבְּבֵ֖יתbe.VeitH1004in the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of your possessionאֲחֻזַּתְכֶֽם׃'a.chu.zat.KhemH272,

35then the one whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834owns the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004shall comeוּבָא֙u.Va'H935and tellוְהִגִּ֥ידve.hi.GidH5046the priestלַכֹּהֵ֖ןla.ko.HenH3548,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Something likea spotכְּנֶ֕גַעke.Ne.ga'H5061of leprosyhas becomeH7200visibleH7200to me in the houseבַּבָּֽיִת׃ba.Ba.yitH1004.’

36The priestהַכֹּהֵ֜ןha.ko.HenH3548shall then commandוְצִוָּ֨הve.tzi.VahH6680that they emptyוּפִנּ֣וּu.fi.NuH6437the houseהַבַּ֗יִתha.Ba.yitH1004beforeבְּטֶ֨רֶםbe.Te.remH2962the priestהַכֹּהֵן֙ha.ko.HenH3548goesיָבֹ֤אya.Vo'H935inH935to lookלִרְא֣וֹתlir.'otH7200at the spotהַנֶּ֔גַעha.Ne.ga'H5061,so that everythingכָּל־kol-H3605in the houseבַּבָּ֑יִתba.Ba.yitH1004need not becomeH2930uncleanיִטְמָ֖אyit.Ma'H2930;and afterwardוְאַ֥חַר כֵּ֛ןve.'A.char kenH310 H3651the priestהַכֹּהֵ֖ןha.ko.HenH3548shall goיָבֹ֥אya.Vo'H935inH935to lookלִרְא֥וֹתlir.'otH7200at the houseהַבָּֽיִת׃ha.Ba.yitH1004.

37So he shall lookוְרָאָ֣הve.ra.'AhH7200at the spotהַנֶּ֗גַעha.Ne.ga'H5061,and ifוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009the spotהַנֶּ֙גַע֙ha.Ne.ga'H5061on the wallsבְּקִירֹ֣תbe.ki.RotH7023of the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004has greenishיְרַקְרַקֹּ֔תye.rak.ra.KotH3422orא֖וֹ'oH176reddishאֲדַמְדַּמֹּ֑ת'a.dam.da.MotH125depressionsשְׁקַֽעֲרוּרֹת֙she.ka.'a.ru.RotH8258and appearsוּמַרְאֵיהֶ֥ןu.mar.'ei.HenH4758deeperשָׁפָ֖לsha.FalH8217thanמִן־min-H4480thesurfaceהַקִּֽיר׃ha.KirH7023,

38the priestהַכֹּהֵ֛ןha.ko.HenH3548shall comeH3318outH3318of the houseH1004, to thedoorwayפֶּ֣תַחPe.tachH6607, andquarantineוְהִסְגִּ֥ירve.his.GirH5462the houseH1004for sevenשִׁבְעַ֥תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִֽים׃ya.MimH3117.

39Then the priestהַכֹּהֵ֖ןha.ko.HenH3548shall returnוְשָׁ֥בve.ShavH7725on the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֑יha.she.vi.'IH7637dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117andmakeH7200anH7200inspectionH7200.IfH2009the spotהַנֶּ֖גַעha.Ne.ga'H5061has indeedH2009spreadפָּשָׂ֥הpa.SahH6581on the wallsבְּקִירֹ֥תbe.ki.RotH7023of the houseהַבָּֽיִת׃ha.Ba.yitH1004,

40the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548shall orderוְצִוָּה֙ve.tzi.VahH6680them to pullH2502outH2502the stonesהָ֣אֲבָנִ֔יםha.'a.va.NimH68with the spotהַנָּ֑גַעha.Na.ga'H5061on them and throwוְהִשְׁלִ֤יכוּve.hish.Li.khuH7993them awayH7993at an uncleanטָמֵֽא׃ta.Me'H2931placeמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725outsideמִח֣וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the cityלָעִ֔ירla.'IrH5892.

41And he shall have the houseהַבַּ֛יִתha.Ba.yitH1004scrapedיַקְצִ֥עַyak.Tzi.a'H7106allH5439aroundH5439insideמִבַּ֖יִתmi.Ba.yitH4480 H1004,and they shall dumpוְשָׁפְכ֗וּve.sha.fe.KhuH8210the plasterהֶֽעָפָר֙he.'a.FarH6083that they scrapeH7096offH7096at an uncleanטָמֵֽא׃ta.Me'H2931placeמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725outsideמִח֣וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the cityלָעִ֔ירla.'IrH5892.

42Then they shall takeוְלָקְחוּ֙ve.la.ke.ChuH3947otherאֲחֵר֔וֹת'a.che.RotH312stonesאֲבָנִ֣ים'a.va.NimH68and replaceוְהֵבִ֖יאוּ תַּ֣חַתve.he.Vi.'u Ta.chatH8478 H935the discardedstonesהָאֲבָנִ֑יםha.'a.va.NimH68,and he shall takeיִקַּ֖חyi.KachH3947otherאַחֵ֛ר'a.CherH312plasterוְעָפָ֥רve.'a.FarH6083and replasterוְטָ֥חve.TachH2902the houseהַבָּֽיִת׃ha.Ba.yitH1004.

43“Ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518,however, the spotהַנֶּ֙גַע֙ha.Ne.ga'H5061breaksוּפָרַ֣חu.fa.RachH6524outH6524againיָשׁ֤וּבya.ShuvH7725in the houseבַּבַּ֔יִתba.Ba.yitH1004afterH310he has pulledH2502outH2502the stonesהָאֲבָנִ֑יםha.'a.va.NimH68and scrapedהִקְצ֥וֹתhik.TzotH7096the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,and afterH310it has been replasteredהִטּֽוֹחַ׃hi.To.achH2902,

44then the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548shall comeוּבָא֙u.Va'H935inH935andmakeH7200anH7200inspectionH7200.IfH2009he seesH2009that the spotהַנֶּ֖גַעha.Ne.ga'H5061has indeedH2009spreadפָּשָׂ֥הpa.SahH6581in the houseבַּבָּ֑יִתba.Ba.yitH1004, it isa malignantמַמְאֶ֥רֶתmam.'E.retH3992spotצָרַ֨עַתtza.Ra.'atH6883in the houseבַּבַּ֖יִתba.Ba.yitH1004;it is uncleanטָמֵ֥אta.Me'H2931.

45The ownershall therefore tearH5422downH5422the houseהַבַּ֗יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,its stonesאֲבָנָיו֙'a.va.NavH68,its timbersעֵצָ֔יו'e.TzavH6086,and allכָּל־kol-H3605the plasterעֲפַ֣ר'a.FarH6083of the houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,and he shall takeוְהוֹצִיא֙ve.ho.Tzi'H3318themoutsideמִח֣וּץmi.ChutzH413 H4480 H2351the cityלָעִ֔ירla.'IrH5892to anuncleanטָמֵֽא׃ta.Me'H2931placeמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725.

46Moreover, whoever goesוְהַבָּא֙ve.ha.Ba'H935into the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004duringכָּל־kol-H3605the timeיְמֵ֖יye.MeiH3117that he hasquarantinedהִסְגִּ֣ירhis.GirH5462it, becomesH2930uncleanיִטְמָ֖אyit.Ma'H2930untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ha.'A.revH6153.

47Likewise, whoever liesH7901downוְהַשֹּׁכֵ֣בve.ha.sho.KhevH7901in the houseבַּבַּ֔יִתba.Ba.yitH1004shall washיְכַבֵּ֖סye.kha.BesH3526his clothesבְּגָדָ֑יוbe.ga.DavH899,and whoever eatsוְהָאֹכֵ֣לve.ha.'o.KhelH398in the houseבַּבַּ֔יִתba.Ba.yitH1004shall washיְכַבֵּ֖סye.kha.BesH3526his clothesבְּגָדָֽיו׃be.ga.DavH899.

48“Ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518,on the other hand, the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548comesבֹּ֨אbo'H935inיָבֹ֜אya.Vo'H935andmakesH7200anH7200inspectionH7200and the spotהַנֶּ֙גַע֙ha.Ne.ga'H5061has not indeedוְ֠הִנֵּהVe.hi.nehH2009spreadפָשָׂ֤הfa.SahH6581in the houseבַּבַּ֔יִתba.Ba.yitH1004afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310the houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004has been replasteredהִטֹּ֣חַhi.To.achH2902,then the priestהַכֹּהֵן֙ha.ko.HenH3548shall pronounceH2891the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004cleanH2891becauseכִּ֥יkiH3588the spotהַנָּֽגַע׃ha.Na.ga'H5061hasnotH7495reappearedH7495.

49To cleanseלְחַטֵּ֥אle.cha.Te'H2398the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004then, he shall takeוְלָקַ֛חve.la.KachH3947twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147birdsצִפֳּרִ֑יםtzi.po.RimH6833,cedarאֶ֔רֶז'E.rezH730woodוְעֵ֣ץve.'EtzH6086, ascarletוּשְׁנִ֥יu.she.NiH8144stringH8439,and hyssopוְאֵזֹֽב׃ve.'e.ZoH231,

50and he shall slaughterוְשָׁחַ֖טve.sha.ChatH7819the oneהָאֶחָ֑תha.'e.ChatH259birdהַצִּפֹּ֣רha.tzi.PorH6833in an earthenwareחֶ֖רֶשׂChe.resH2789vesselכְּלִי־ke.li-H3627overעַל־'al-H5921runningחַיִּֽים׃chai.YimH2416waterמַ֥יִםMa.yimH4325.

51Then he shall takeוְלָקַ֣חve.la.KachH3947the cedarהָ֠אֶרֶזHa.'e.rezH730woodעֵֽץ־'etz-H6086, thehyssopהָ֨אֵזֹ֜בha.'e.ZoH231, and thescarletשְׁנִ֣יshe.NiH8144stringH8439,with the liveהַֽחַיָּה֒ha.chai.YahH2416birdהַצִּפֹּ֣רha.tzi.PorH6833,and dipוְטָבַ֣לve.ta.ValH2881them in the bloodבְּדַם֙be.DamH1818of the slaughteredהַשְּׁחוּטָ֔הha.she.chu.TahH7819birdהַצִּפֹּ֣רha.tzi.PorH6833as well as in therunningהַֽחַיִּ֑יםha.chai.YimH2416waterוּבַמַּ֖יִםu.va.Ma.yimH4325,and sprinkleוְהִזָּ֥הve.hi.ZahH5137the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004sevenשֶׁ֥בַעShe.va'H7651timesפְּעָמִֽים׃pe.'a.MimH6471.

52So he shall cleanseוְחִטֵּ֣אve.chi.Te'H2398the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004with the bloodבְּדַם֙be.DamH1818of the birdהַצִּפּ֔וֹרha.tzi.PorH6833and with therunningהַֽחַיִּ֑יםha.chai.YimH2416waterוּבַמַּ֖יִםu.va.Ma.yimH4325,along with the liveהַחַיָּ֗הha.chai.YahH2416birdוּבַצִּפֹּ֣רu.vatz.tzi.PorH6833,the cedarהָאֶ֛רֶזha.'E.rezH730woodוּבְעֵ֥ץu.ve.'EtzH6086,the hyssopוּבָאֵזֹ֖בu.va.'e.ZoH231, and thescarletוּבִשְׁנִ֥יu.vish.NiH8144stringH8439.

53However, he shall let the liveהַֽחַיָּ֛הha.chai.YahH2416birdהַצִּפֹּ֧רha.tzi.PorH6833goוְשִׁלַּ֞חve.shi.LachH7971freeH7971outsideמִח֥וּץmi.ChutzH413 H4480 H2351the cityלָעִ֖ירla.'IrH5892into the openפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֑הha.sa.DehH7704.So he shall makeוְכִפֶּ֥רve.khi.PerH3722atonementH3722for the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,and it will beH2891cleanH2891.”
