8And the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068handedבְּיַֽד־be.yad-H3027 H5414them overH5414to Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֮Yis.ra.'ElH3478, so that theydefeatedוַיַּכּוּם֒vai.ya.KumH5221them, and pursuedוַֽיִּרְדְּפ֞וּםvai.yir.de.FumH7291them as farH5704as Greatרַבָּ֗הra.BahH7227Sidonצִיד֣וֹןtzi.DonH6721, andMisrephoth-maimH4956,and the Valleyבִּקְעַ֥תbik.'AtH1237ofMizpehמִצְפֶּ֖הmitz.PehH4708to the eastמִזְרָ֑חָהmiz.Ra.chahH4217;and they struckוַיַּכֻּ֕םvai.ya.KumH5221them untilH5704noבִּלְתִּ֥יbil.TiH1115survivorשָׂרִֽיד׃sa.RidH8300was leftהִשְׁאִֽיר־hish.'ir-H7604to them.

9And Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091didוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213to them justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068had toldאָֽמַר־'a.mar-H559him; hehamstrungH6136their horsesסוּסֵיהֶ֣םsu.sei.HemH5483and burnedשָׂרַ֥ףsa.RafH8313their chariotsמַרְכְּבֹתֵיהֶ֖םmar.ke.vo.tei.HemH4818with fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ סba.'EshH784.

10Then Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091turnedH7725backוַיָּ֨שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725at that timeבָּעֵ֤תba.'EtH6256and capturedוַיִּלְכֹּ֣דvai.yil.KodH3920Hazorחָצ֔וֹרcha.TzorH2674,and struckהִכָּ֣הhi.KahH5221its kingמַלְכָּ֖הּmal.KahH4428with the swordבֶחָ֑רֶבve.Cha.revH2719;for Hazorחָצ֣וֹרcha.TzorH2674previouslyלְפָנִ֔יםle.fa.NimH6440was the headרֹ֖אשׁroshH7218of allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵֽלֶּה׃ha.'E.lehH428kingdomsהַמַּמְלָכ֥וֹתha.mam.la.KhotH4467.

11They struckוַ֠יַּכּוּVai.ya.kuH5221everyכָּל־kol-H3605personהַנֶּ֨פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834was in it with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶ֙רֶב֙che.revH2719,utterlyH2763destroyingהַֽחֲרֵ֔םha.cha.RemH2763them;there was noלֹ֥א כָּל־lo' kol-H3808 H3605one leftנוֹתַ֖רno.TarH3498whoH5397breathedH5397.And he burnedשָׂרַ֥ףsa.RafH8313Hazorחָצ֖וֹרcha.TzorH2674with fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ba.'EshH784.

12Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091capturedלָכַ֧דla.KhadH3920allכָּל־kol-H3605the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of theseהָ֠אֵלֶּהHa.'e.lehH428kingsהַמְּלָכִֽים־ha.me.la.khim-H4428,and allכָּל־kol-H3605their kingsמַלְכֵיהֶ֞םmal.khei.HemH4428;and he struckוַיַּכֵּ֥םvai.ya.KemH5221them with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶ֖רֶבChe.revH2719andutterlyH2763destroyedהֶחֱרִ֣יםhe.che.RimH2763them, justH3512as Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872the servantעֶ֥בֶד'E.vedH5650of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֔הtzi.VahH6680.

13HoweverH7534,Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478did not burnשְׂרָפָ֖םse.ra.FamH8313anyכָּל־kol-H3605citiesהֶעָרִ֗יםhe.'a.RimH5892that stoodהָעֹֽמְדוֹת֙ha.'o.me.dOtH5975on their moundsתִּלָּ֔םti.LamH8510,exceptזוּלָתִ֛יzu.la.TiH2108Hazorחָצ֥וֹרcha.TzorH2674aloneלְבַדָּ֖הּle.va.DahH905, whichJoshuaיְהוֹשֻֽׁעַ׃ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091burnedשָׂרַ֥ףsa.RafH8313.

14Andallוְ֠כֹלVe.kholH3605the spoilsשְׁלַ֞לshe.LalH7998of theseהָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ha.'E.lehH428citiesהֶעָרִ֤יםhe.'a.RimH5892and the cattleוְהַבְּהֵמָ֔הve.ha.be.he.MahH929,the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478tookH962as their plunderבָּזְז֥וּba.ze.ZuH962;but they struckהִכּ֣וּhi.KuH5221everyכָּל־kol-H3605personהָאָדָ֞םha.'a.DamH120with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶ֗רֶבChe.revH2719,untilעַד־'ad-H5704they had destroyedהִשְׁמִדָם֙hish.mi.DamH8045them. They leftהִשְׁאִ֖ירוּhish.'I.ruH7604noלֹ֥אlo'H3808oneכָּל־kol-H3605breathingנְשָׁמָֽה׃ne.sha.MahH5397.
