2“ThisH2088is the statuteחֻקַּ֣תchu.KatH2708of the lawהַתּוֹרָ֔הha.to.RahH8451whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Speakדַּבֵּ֣ר׀da.BerH1696to the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478that they bringוְיִקְח֣וּve.yik.ChuH3947you anunblemishedתְּמִימָ֗הte.mi.MahH8549redאֲדֻמָּ֜ה'a.du.MahH122heiferH6499in whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834is noאֵֽין־'ein-H369defectH4140andon whichאֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834a yokeעֹֽל׃'OlH5923has neverלֹא־lo'-H3808been placedעָלָ֥ה'a.LahH5927.

3You shall giveוּנְתַתֶּ֣םu.ne.ta.TemH5414it toEleazarאֶלְעָזָ֖ר'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵ֑ןha.ko.HenH3548, and it shallbe broughtוְהוֹצִ֤יאve.ho.Tzi'H3318outsideמִח֣וּץmi.ChutzH413 H4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הla.ma.cha.NehH4264and be slaughteredוְשָׁחַ֥טve.sha.ChatH7819in his presenceלְפָנָֽיו׃le.fa.NavH6440.

4Next Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֧ר'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵ֛ןha.ko.HenH3548shall takeוְלָקַ֞חve.la.KachH3947someH4480of its bloodמִדָּמָ֖הּmi.da.MahH1818with his fingerבְּאֶצְבָּע֑וֹbe.'etz.ba.'OH676andsprinkleוְהִזָּ֞הve.hi.ZahH5137someH4480of its bloodמִדָּמָ֖הּmi.da.MahH1818towardאֶל־'el-H413the frontפְּנֵ֧יpe.NeiH6440of the tentאֹֽהֶל־'o.hel-H168of meetingמוֹעֵ֛דmo.'EdH4150sevenשֶׁ֥בַעShe.va'H7651timesפְּעָמִֽים׃pe.'a.MimH6471.

5Then the heiferH6499shall be burnedוְשָׂרַ֥ףve.sa.RafH8313in his sightלְעֵינָ֑יוle.'ei.NavH5869;its hideעֹרָ֤הּ'o.RahH5785and its fleshבְּשָׂרָהּ֙be.sa.RahH1320and its bloodדָּמָ֔הּda.MahH1818,with its refuseפִּרְשָׁ֖הּpir.ShahH6569,shall be burnedיִשְׂרֹֽף׃yis.RofH8313.

6The priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548shall takeוְלָקַ֣חve.la.KachH3947cedarאֶ֛רֶז'E.rezH730woodעֵ֥ץ'etzH6086and hyssopוְאֵז֖וֹבve.'e.ZovH231and scarletוּשְׁנִ֣יu.she.NiH8144materialand castוְהִשְׁלִ֕יךְve.hish.LikhH7993it into the midstתּ֖וֹךְTokhH8432of theburningשְׂרֵפַ֥תse.re.FatH8316heiferH6499.

7The priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548shall then washוְכִבֶּ֨סve.khi.BesH3526his clothesבְּגָדָ֜יוbe.ga.DavH899and batheוְרָחַ֤ץve.ra.ChatzH7364hisbodyבְּשָׂרוֹ֙be.sa.RoH1320in waterבַּמַּ֔יִםba.Ma.yimH4325,and afterwardוְאַחַ֖רve.'a.CharH310comeיָב֣וֹאya.Vo'H935into the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑הha.ma.cha.NehH4264,but the priestהַכֹּהֵ֖ןha.ko.HenH3548shall be uncleanוְטָמֵ֥אve.ta.Me'H2930untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ha.'A.revH6153.

8The one who burnsוְהַשֹּׂרֵ֣ףve.ha.so.RefH8313it shall also washיְכַבֵּ֤סye.kha.BesH3526his clothesבְּגָדָיו֙be.ga.DavH899in waterבַּמַּ֔יִםba.Ma.yimH4325and batheוְרָחַ֥ץve.ra.ChatzH7364hisbodyבְּשָׂר֖וֹbe.sa.RoH1320in waterבַּמָּ֑יִםba.Ma.yimH4325,and shall be uncleanוְטָמֵ֖אve.ta.Me'H2930untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ha.'A.revH6153.

9Now a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376who is cleanטָה֗וֹרta.HorH2889shall gatherוְאָסַ֣ף׀ve.'a.SafH622up the ashesאֵ֣פֶר'E.ferH665of the heiferH6499and depositוְהִנִּ֛יחַve.hi.Ni.achH5117them outsideמִח֥וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖הla.ma.cha.NehH4264in a cleanטָה֑וֹרta.HorH2889placeבְּמָק֣וֹםbe.ma.KomH4725, andthe congregationלַעֲדַ֨תla.'a.DatH5712of the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֧לYis.ra.'ElH3478shall keepלְמִשְׁמֶ֛רֶתle.mish.Me.retH4931it aswaterלְמֵ֥יle.MeiH4325to remove impurityנִדָּ֖הni.DahH5079; it ispurificationH2403from sinחַטָּ֥אתcha.TatH2403.

10The one who gathersהָאֹסֵ֨ףha.'o.SefH622the ashesאֵ֤פֶר'E.ferH665of the heiferH6499shall washוְ֠כִבֶּסVe.khi.besH3526his clothesבְּגָדָ֔יוbe.ga.DavH899and be uncleanוְטָמֵ֖אve.ta.Me'H2930untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעָ֑רֶבha.'A.revH6153;and it shall be a perpetualעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769statuteלְחֻקַּ֥תle.chu.KatH2708to the sonsלִבְנֵ֣יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478and to the alienוְלַגֵּ֛רve.la.GerH1616who sojournsהַגָּ֥רha.GarH1481amongבְּתוֹכָ֖םbe.to.KhamH8432them.

11‘The one who touchesהַנֹּגֵ֥עַha.no.Ge.a'H5060the corpseבְּמֵ֖תbe.MetH4191of anyלְכָל־le.kholH3605personנֶ֣פֶשׁ אָדָ֑םNe.fesh 'a.DamH5315 H120shall be uncleanוְטָמֵ֖אve.ta.Me'H2930for sevenשִׁבְעַ֥תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִֽים׃ya.MimH3117.

12That oneה֣וּאhu'H1931shallpurifyיִתְחַטָּא־yit.cha.ta'-H2398himself from uncleannessH2398withthe water on the thirdהַשְּׁלִישִׁ֛יha.she.li.ShiH7992dayבַּיּ֧וֹםbai.YomH3117and on the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֖יha.she.vi.'IH7637dayוּבַיּ֥וֹםu.vai.YomH3117, and thenhe will be cleanיִטְהָ֑רyit.HarH2891;but ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518he does not purifyיִתְחַטָּ֜אyit.cha.Ta'H2398himself on the thirdהַשְּׁלִישִׁ֛יha.she.li.ShiH7992dayבַּיּ֧וֹםbai.YomH3117and on the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֖יha.she.vi.'IH7637dayוּבַיּ֥וֹםu.vai.YomH3117,he will not be cleanיִטְהָֽר׃yit.HarH2891.

13Anyoneכָּֽל־kal-H3605who touchesהַנֹּגֵ֡עַha.no.Ge.a'H5060a corpseבְּמֵ֣תbe.MetH4191, thebodyבְּנֶפֶשׁ֩be.ne.FeshH5315of a manהָאָדָ֨םha.'a.DamH120whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834has diedיָמ֜וּתya.MutH4191,and does not purifyיִתְחַטָּ֗אyit.cha.Ta'H2398himself,defilesטִמֵּ֔אti.Me'H2930thetabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֤ןmish.KanH4908of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068;and that personהַנֶּ֥פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315shall be cutוְנִכְרְתָ֛הve.nikh.re.TahH3772offH3772from Israelמִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֑לmi.Yis.ra.'ElH3478.Becauseכִּי֩kiH3588the waterמֵ֨יmeiH4325for impurityנִדָּ֜הni.DahH5079was notsprinkledזֹרַ֤קzo.RakH2236on him, he shall be uncleanטָמֵ֣אta.Me'H2931;his uncleannessטֻמְאָת֥וֹtum.'a.ToH2932is stillע֖וֹדodH5750on him.

14‘ThisH2088is the lawהַתּוֹרָ֔הha.to.RahH8451whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588a manאָדָ֖ם'a.DamH120diesיָמ֣וּתya.MutH4191in a tentבְּאֹ֑הֶלbe.'O.helH168:everyoneכָּל־kol-H3605who comesהַבָּ֤אha.Ba'H935into the tentהָאֹ֙הֶל֙ha.'O.helH168and everyoneוְכָל־ve.kholH3605whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834is in the tentבָּאֹ֔הֶלba.'O.helH168shall be uncleanיִטְמָ֖אyit.Ma'H2930for sevenשִׁבְעַ֥תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִֽים׃ya.MimH3117.

15Everyוְכֹל֙ve.KholH3605openפָת֔וּחַfa.Tu.achH6605vesselכְּלִ֣יke.LiH3627,whichאֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834hasH369noH369coveringצָמִ֥ידtza.MidH6781tiedH6616downH6616on it, shall be uncleanטָמֵ֖אta.Me'H2931.

16Also, anyoneוְכֹ֨לve.KholH3605whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834in the openפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֗הha.sa.DehH7704touchesיִגַּ֜עyi.Ga'H5060oneבַּֽחֲלַל־ba.cha.lal-H2491whoH2491has been slainH2491with a swordחֶ֙רֶב֙che.revH2719orא֣וֹ'oH176who has diedבְמֵ֔תve.MetH4191naturally,orאֽוֹ־'ov-H176a humanאָדָ֖ם'a.DamH120boneבְעֶ֥צֶםve.'E.tzemH6106orא֣וֹ'oH176a graveבְקָ֑בֶרve.Ka.verH6913,shall be uncleanיִטְמָ֖אyit.Ma'H2930for sevenשִׁבְעַ֥תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִֽים׃ya.MimH3117.

17Then for the uncleanלַטָּמֵ֔אla.ta.Me'H2931personthey shall takeוְלָֽקְחוּ֙ve.la.ke.ChuH3947someH4480of theashesמֵעֲפַ֖רme.'a.FarH6083of theburntשְׂרֵפַ֣תse.re.FatH8316purificationH2403from sinהַֽחַטָּ֑אתha.cha.TatH2403andflowingחַיִּ֖יםchai.YimH2416waterמַ֥יִםMa.yimH4325shall beaddedוְנָתַ֥ןve.na.TanH5414to them in a vesselכֶּֽלִי׃Ke.liH3627.

18A cleanטָהוֹר֒ta.hOrH2889personאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376shall takeוְלָקַ֨חve.la.KachH3947hyssopאֵז֜וֹב'e.ZovH231and dipוְטָבַ֣לve.ta.ValH2881itin the waterבַּמַּיִם֮ba.ma.YimH4325,and sprinkleוְהִזָּ֤הve.hi.ZahH5137iton the tentהָאֹ֙הֶל֙ha.'O.helH168and on allכָּל־kol-H3605the furnishingsהַכֵּלִ֔יםha.ke.LimH3627and on the personsהַנְּפָשׁ֖וֹתha.ne.fa.ShotH5315whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834were thereשָׁ֑םShamH8033,and on the one who touchedהַנֹּגֵ֗עַha.no.Ge.a'H5060the boneבַּעֶ֙צֶם֙ba.'E.tzemH6106orא֣וֹ'oH176the oneבֶֽחָלָ֔לve.cha.LalH2491slainH2491orא֥וֹ'oH176the one dyingבַמֵּ֖תva.MetH4191naturallyorא֥וֹ'oH176the graveבַקָּֽבֶר׃va.Ka.verH6913.

20‘But the manוְאִ֤ישׁve.'IshH376whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834is uncleanיִטְמָא֙yit.Ma'H2930and does not purifyיִתְחַטָּ֔אyit.cha.Ta'H2398himself from uncleannessH2398,that personהַנֶּ֥פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315shall be cutוְנִכְרְתָ֛הve.nikh.re.TahH3772offH3772from the midstמִתּ֣וֹךְmi.TokhH8432of the assemblyהַקָּהָ֑לha.ka.HalH6951,becauseכִּי֩kiH3588he hasdefiledטִמֵּ֗אti.Me'H2930the sanctuaryמִקְדַּ֨שׁmik.DashH4720of the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068;the waterמֵ֥יmeiH4325for impurityנִדָּ֛הni.DahH5079has not been sprinkledזֹרַ֥קzo.RakH2236on him, he is uncleanטָמֵ֥אta.Me'H2931.

21So it shall be a perpetualעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769statuteלְחֻקַּ֣תle.chu.KatH2708for them. And hewho sprinklesוּמַזֵּ֤הu.ma.ZehH5137the waterמֵֽי־mei-H4325for impurityהַנִּדָּה֙ha.ni.DahH5079shall washיְכַבֵּ֣סye.kha.BesH3526his clothesבְּגָדָ֔יוbe.ga.DavH899,and he who touchesוְהַנֹּגֵ֙עַ֙ve.ha.no.Ge.a'H5060the waterבְּמֵ֣יbe.MeiH4325for impurityהַנִּדָּ֔הha.ni.DahH5079shall be uncleanיִטְמָ֖אyit.Ma'H2930untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ha.'A.revH6153.

22Furthermore, anythingוְכֹ֛לve.KholH3605that the uncleanהַטָּמֵ֖אha.ta.Me'H2931persontouchesיִגַּע־yi.ga'-H5060shall be uncleanיִטְמָ֑אyit.Ma'H2930;and the personוְהַנֶּ֥פֶשׁve.ha.Ne.feshH5315who touchesהַנֹּגַ֖עַתha.no.Ga.'atH5060itshall be uncleanתִּטְמָ֥אtit.Ma'H2930untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ פha.'A.revH6153.’”
