2and they roseוַיָּקֻ֙מוּ֙vai.ya.Ku.muH6965up beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872,together with someH376of the sonsמִבְּנֵֽי־mi.be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,two hundredוּמָאתָ֑יִםu.ma.Ta.yimH3967and fiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֣יםcha.mi.ShimH2572leadersנְשִׂיאֵ֥יne.si.'EiH5387of the congregationעֵדָ֛ה'e.DahH5712,chosenקְרִאֵ֥יke.ri.'EiH7148in the assemblyמוֹעֵ֖דmo.'EdH4150,menH376of renownשֵֽׁם׃ShemH8034.

3They assembledוַיִּֽקָּהֲל֞וּvai.yi.ka.ha.LuH6950togetheragainstH5921Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֗ן'a.ha.RonH175,and saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559to them, “You have gone farH7227enoughרַב־rav-H7227,for allH3605the congregationהָֽעֵדָה֙ha.'e.DahH5712are holyקְדֹשִׁ֔יםke.do.ShimH6918,everyH3605oneH3605of them, andthe Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068is in their midstוּבְתוֹכָ֖םu.ve.to.KhamH8432;so whyוּמַדּ֥וּעַu.ma.Du.a'H4069do you exaltתִּֽתְנַשְּׂא֖וּtit.na.se.'UH5375yourselves aboveH5921the assemblyקְהַ֥לke.HalH6951of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068?”

4When Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֣עvai.yish.Ma'H8085this,he fellוַיִּפֹּ֖לvai.yi.PolH5307on his faceפָּנָֽיו׃pa.NavH6440;

5and he spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֨רvay.da.BerH1696to Korahקֹ֜רַחKo.rachH7141and allכָּל־kol-H3605his companyעֲדָתוֹ֮a.da.ToH5712,sayingלֵאמֹר֒le.MorH559, “TomorrowH1242morningבֹּ֠קֶרBo.kerH1242the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068will showוְיֹדַ֨עve.yo.Da'H3045whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834is His, andwho is holyהַקָּד֖וֹשׁha.ka.Do.oshH6918,and will bringוְהִקְרִ֣יבve.hik.RivH7126himnearH7126to Himself; eventhe one whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834He will chooseיִבְחַר־yiv.char-H977,He will bringיַקְרִ֥יבyak.RivH7126nearH7126to Himself.

6Doעֲשׂ֑וּ'a.SuH6213thisH2088:takeקְחוּ־ke.chu-H3947censersמַחְתּ֔וֹתmach.TotH4289for yourselves, Korahקֹ֖רַחKo.rachH7141and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605your companyעֲדָתֽוֹ׃a.da.ToH5712,

7and putוּתְנ֣וּu.te.NuH5414fireאֵ֡שׁ'eshH784in them, and layוְשִׂימוּ֩ve.si.MuH7760incenseקְטֹ֜רֶתke.To.retH7004upon them in the presenceלִפְנֵ֤יlif.NeiH6440of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068tomorrowמָחָ֔רma.CharH4279;and the manהָאִ֛ישׁha.'IshH376whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068choosesיִבְחַ֥רyiv.CharH977shall bethe oneH6918whoה֣וּאhu'H1931is holyH6918.You have gone farH7227enoughרַב־rav-H7227,you sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Leviלֵוִֽי׃le.ViH3878!”

8Then Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Korahקֹ֑רַחKo.rachH7141, “Hearשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085nowנָ֖אna'H4994,you sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Leviלֵוִֽי׃le.ViH3878,

9is itnot enoughהַמְעַ֣טham.'AtH4592for you that the Godאֱלֹהֵ֨י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֤לYis.ra.'ElH3478has separatedהִבְדִּיל֩hiv.DilH914you from the rest ofthe congregationמֵעֲדַ֣תme.'a.DatH5712of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,to bringלְהַקְרִ֥יבle.hak.RivH7126you nearH7126to Himself, to doלַעֲבֹ֗דla.'a.VodH5647the serviceעֲבֹדַת֙'a.vo.DatH5656of the tabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֣ןmish.KanH4908of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and to standוְלַעֲמֹ֛דve.la.'a.ModH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the congregationהָעֵדָ֖הha.'e.DahH5712to ministerלְשָׁרְתָֽם׃le.sha.re.TamH8334to them;

10and that He has broughtH7126you nearH7126, Korah,and allכָּל־kol-H3605your brothersאַחֶ֥יךָ'a.Chei.khaH251,sonsבְנֵי־ve.nei-H1121of Leviלֵוִ֖יle.ViH3878, with you? And are youseekingוּבִקַּשְׁתֶּ֖םu.vi.kash.TemH1245for the priesthoodכְּהֻנָּֽה׃ke.hu.NahH3550alsoגַּם־gam-H1571?

11Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651you and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605your companyעֲדָ֣תְךָ֔'a.Da.te.khaH5712are gatheredהַנֹּעָדִ֖יםha.no.'a.DimH3259togetheragainstעַל־'al-H5921the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;but as for Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֣ןve.'a.ha.RonH175,whoמַה־mah-H4100is he thatyou grumbleתַלִּ֖ינוּti.lo.nuH3885againstעָלָֽיו׃'a.LavH5921him?”

12Then Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971a summonsלִקְרֹ֛אlik.Ro'H7121to Dathanלְדָתָ֥ןle.da.TanH1885and Abiramוְלַאֲבִירָ֖םve.la.'a.vi.RamH48,the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Eliabאֱלִיאָ֑ב'e.li.'AvH446;but they saidוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, “We will not comeנַעֲלֶֽה׃na.'a.LehH5927up.

13Is itnot enoughהַמְעַ֗טham.'AtH4592that you have broughtהֶֽעֱלִיתָ֙נוּ֙he.'e.li.Ta.nuH5927us up out of alandמֵאֶ֨רֶץme.'E.retzH776flowingזָבַ֤תza.VatH2100with milkחָלָב֙cha.LavH2461and honeyוּדְבַ֔שׁu.de.VashH1706to have us dieלַהֲמִיתֵ֖נוּla.ha.mi.Te.nuH4191in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֑רba.mid.BarH4057,but you would alsoגַּם־gam-H1571lordH8323it overעָלֵ֖ינוּ'a.Lei.nuH5921us?

14Indeedאַ֡ף'afH637,you have not broughtהֲבִ֣יאֹתָ֔נוּha.Vi.'o.Ta.nuH935usinto a landאֶרֶץ֩'e.RetzH776flowingזָבַ֨תza.VatH2100with milkחָלָ֤בcha.LavH2461and honeyוּדְבַשׁ֙u.de.VashH1706,norH3808have you givenוַתִּ֨תֶּן־va.Ti.ten-H5414us an inheritanceנַחֲלַ֖תna.cha.LatH5159offieldsשָׂדֶ֣הsa.DehH7704and vineyardsוָכָ֑רֶםva.Kha.remH3754. 15Then Mosesלְמֹשֶׁה֙le.mo.ShehH4872becameH2734veryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966angryH2734and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559to the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, “Do not regardתֵּ֖פֶןTe.fenH6437their offeringמִנְחָתָ֑םmin.cha.TamH4503!I have not takenנָשָׂ֔אתִיna.Sa.tiH5375a singleאֶחָ֤ד'e.ChadH259donkeyחֲמ֨וֹרcha.MorH2543from them, norH3808have I doneH7489harmהֲרֵעֹ֖תִיha.re.'O.tiH7489to anyאַחַ֥ד'a.ChadH259of them.”

16Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Korahקֹ֔רַחKo.rachH7141, “You and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605your companyעֲדָ֣תְךָ֔'a.Da.te.khaH5712be presentהֱי֖וּhe.YuH1961beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068tomorrowמָחָֽר׃ma.CharH4279,both you and they along with Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֖ןve.'a.ha.RonH175.

17Eachאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of you takeוּקְח֣וּ׀u.ke.ChuH3947his firepanמַחְתָּת֗וֹmach.ta.ToH4289and putוּנְתַתֶּ֤םu.ne.ta.TemH5414incenseקְטֹ֔רֶתke.To.retH7004onit, and eachאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of you bringוְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֞םve.hik.rav.TemH7126his censerמַחְתָּת֔וֹmach.ta.ToH4289beforeלִפְנֵ֤יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,two hundredוּמָאתַ֖יִםu.ma.Ta.yimH3967and fiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֥יםcha.mi.ShimH2572firepansמַחְתֹּ֑תmach.TotH4289;also you and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֖ןve.'a.ha.RonH175shalleachאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376bringhis firepanמַחְתָּתֽוֹ׃mach.ta.ToH4289.”

18So they eachאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376tookוַיִּקְח֞וּvai.yik.ChuH3947his owncenserמַחְתָּת֗וֹmach.ta.ToH4289and putוַיִּתְּנ֤וּvai.yi.te.NuH5414fireאֵ֔שׁ'EshH784onit, and laidוַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760incenseקְטֹ֑רֶתke.To.retH7004onit; and they stoodוַֽיַּעַמְד֗וּvai.ya.'am.DuH5975at the doorwayפֶּ֛תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֖דmo.'EdH4150,with Mosesוּמֹשֶׁ֥הu.mo.ShehH4872and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹֽן׃ve.'a.ha.RonH175.

19Thus Korahקֹ֙רַח֙ko.rachH7141assembledוַיַּקְהֵ֨לvai.yak.HelH6950allכָּל־kol-H3605the congregationהָ֣עֵדָ֔הha.'e.DahH5712againstעֲלֵיהֶ֥ם'a.lei.HemH5921them at the doorwayפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150. Andthe gloryכְבוֹד־khe.Vod-H3519of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֥אvai.ye.Ra'H7200to allכָּל־kol-H3605the congregationהָעֵדָֽה׃ פha.'e.DahH5712.

20Then the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֣רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

21“Separateהִבָּ֣דְל֔וּhi.Ba.de.LuH914yourselves from amongמִתּ֖וֹךְmi.TokhH8432thisH2088congregationהָעֵדָ֣הha.'e.DahH5712,that I may consumeוַאַכַלֶּ֥הva.'a.kha.LehH3615them instantlyכְּרָֽגַע׃ke.Ra.ga'H7281.”

22But they fellוַיִּפְּל֤וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307on their facesפְּנֵיהֶם֙pe.nei.HemH6440and saidוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, “O Godאֵ֕ל'elH410,Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of the spiritsהָרוּחֹ֖תha.ru.ChotH7307of allלְכָל־le.kholH3605fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320,when oneאֶחָד֙'e.ChadH259manהָאִ֤ישׁha.'IshH376sinsיֶחֱטָ֔אye.che.Ta'H2398,will You be angryתִּקְצֹֽף׃ פtik.TzofH7107with the entireכָּל־kol-H3605congregationהָעֵדָ֖הha.'e.DahH5712?”

23Then the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

24“Speakדַּבֵּ֥רda.BerH1696to the congregationהָעֵדָ֖הha.'e.DahH5712,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘GetH5927backH5927from aroundמִסָּבִ֔יבmi.sa.VivH5439the dwellingsלְמִשְׁכַּן־le.mish.kan-H4908of Korahקֹ֖רַחKo.rachH7141,Dathanדָּתָ֥ןda.TanH1885and Abiramוַאֲבִירָֽם׃va.'a.vi.RamH48.’”

25Then Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872aroseוַיָּ֣קָםvai.Ya.komH6965and wentוַיֵּ֖לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980to Dathanדָּתָ֣ןda.TanH1885and Abiramוַאֲבִירָ֑םva.'a.vi.RamH48,with the eldersזִקְנֵ֥יzik.NeiH2205of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478followingוַיֵּלְכ֥וּ אַחֲרָ֖יוvai.ye.le.Khu 'a.cha.RavH1980 H310him,

26and he spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֨רvay.da.BerH1696to the congregationהָעֵדָ֜הha.'e.DahH5712,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, “Departס֣וּרוּSu.ruH5493nowנָ֡אna'H4994from the tentsאָהֳלֵ֨י'o.ho.LeiH168of theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428wickedהָֽרְשָׁעִים֙ha.re.sha.'ImH7563menH376,and touchתִּגְּע֖וּti.ge.'UH5060nothingוְאַֽל־ בְּכָל־ve.'al- be.kholH408 H3605that belongs to them,orפֶּן־pen-H6435you will be sweptתִּסָּפ֖וּti.sa.FuH5595awayH5595in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605their sinחַטֹּאתָֽם׃cha.to.TamH2403.”

27So they gotH5927backH5927from aroundמִסָּבִ֑יבmi.sa.VivH5439the dwellingsמִשְׁכַּן־mish.kan-H4908of Korahקֹ֛רֶחKo.rechH7141,Dathanדָּתָ֥ןda.TanH1885and Abiramוַאֲבִירָ֖םva.'a.vi.RamH48;and Dathanוְדָתָ֨ןve.da.TanH1885and Abiramוַאֲבִירָ֜םva.'a.vi.RamH48cameיָצְא֣וּya.tze.'UH3318out andstoodנִצָּבִ֗יםni.tza.VimH5324at the doorwayפֶּ֚תַחPe.tachH6607of their tentsאָֽהֳלֵיהֶ֔ם'o.ho.lei.HemH168,along with their wivesוּנְשֵׁיהֶ֥םu.ne.shei.HemH802andtheir sonsוּבְנֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.nei.HemH1121and their littleוְטַפָּֽם׃ve.ta.PamH2945onesH2945.

28Mosesמֹשֶׁה֒mo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּאמֶר֮vai.yo.MerH559, “By thisH2088you shall knowתֵּֽדְע֔וּןte.de.'UnH3045thatthe Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068has sentשְׁלָחַ֔נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971me to doלַעֲשׂ֕וֹתla.'a.SotH6213allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428deedsהַֽמַּעֲשִׂ֖יםha.ma.'a.SimH4639; for this is notmy doingמִלִּבִּֽי׃mi.li.BiH4480 H3820.

30Butifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068bringsH1254aboutH1254an entirelyH1278newH1278thingH1278and the groundהָאֲדָמָ֤הha.'a.da.MahH127opensוּפָצְתָ֨הu.fa.tze.TahH6475its mouthפִּ֙יהָ֙pi.haH6310and swallowsוּבָלְעָ֤הu.val.'AhH1104them up with allכָּל־kol-H3605that is theirsH1992, and theydescendוְיָרְד֥וּve.ya.re.DuH3381aliveחַיִּ֖יםchai.YimH2416intoSheolשְׁאֹ֑לָהshe.'O.lahH7585,then you will understandוִֽידַעְתֶּ֕םvi.da'.TemH3045that theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428menH376have spurnedנִֽאֲצ֛וּni.'a.TzuH5006the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.”

31As he finishedכְּכַלֹּת֔וֹke.kha.lo.ToH3615speakingלְדַבֵּ֕רle.da.BerH1696allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697,the groundהָאֲדָמָ֖הha.'a.da.MahH127that was underתַּחְתֵּיהֶֽם׃tach.tei.HemH8478them splitוַתִּבָּקַ֥עva.ti.ba.Ka'H1234openH1234;

32andthe earthהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776openedוַתִּפְתַּ֤חva.tif.TachH6605its mouthפִּ֔יהָPi.haH6310and swallowedוַתִּבְלַ֥עva.tiv.La'H1104them up, and their householdsבָּתֵּיהֶ֑םba.tei.HemH1004, andallH3605the menהָאָדָם֙ha.'a.DamH120whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834belonged to Korahלְקֹ֔רַחle.Ko.rachH7141with theirpossessionsהָרֲכֽוּשׁ׃ha.ra.KhushH7399.

33So they and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605that belonged to them wentH3381downוַיֵּ֨רְד֜וּvai.Ye.re.DuH3381aliveחַיִּ֖יםchai.YimH2416toSheolשְׁאֹ֑לָהshe.'O.lahH7585;and the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776closedוַתְּכַ֤סva.te.KhasH3680overעֲלֵיהֶם֙'a.lei.HemH5921them, and they perishedוַיֹּאבְד֖וּvai.yoe.DuH6from the midstמִתּ֥וֹךְmi.TokhH8432of the assemblyהַקָּהָֽל׃ha.ka.HalH6951.

34Allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478whoאֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834werearoundסְבִיבֹתֵיהֶ֖םse.vi.vo.tei.HemH5439them fledנָ֣סוּNa.suH5127at theiroutcryלְקֹלָ֑םle.ko.LamH6963,for they saidאָֽמְר֔וּ'a.me.RuH559, “The earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776may swallowתִּבְלָעֵ֖נוּtiv.la.'E.nuH1104us up!”

35Fireוְאֵ֥שׁve.'EshH784also cameH3318forthיָצְאָ֖הya.tze.'AhH3318from the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068and consumedוַתֹּ֗אכַלva.To.khalH398thetwo hundredוּמָאתַ֙יִם֙u.ma.Ta.yimH3967and fiftyהַחֲמִשִּׁ֤יםha.cha.mi.ShimH2572menאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376who were offeringמַקְרִיבֵ֖יmak.ri.VeiH7126the incenseהַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃ פha.ke.To.retH7004.

36Then the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

37“Sayאֱמֹ֨ר'e.MorH559to Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֜ר'el.'a.ZarH499,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Aaronאַהֲרֹ֣ן'a.ha.RonH175the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548,that he shall takeוְיָרֵ֤םve.ya.RemH7311up the censersהַמַּחְתֹּת֙ha.mach.TotH4289out of the midstמִבֵּ֣יןmi.BeinH996of theblazeהַשְּׂרֵפָ֔הha.se.re.FahH8316,for they are holyקָדֵֽשׁוּ׃ka.De.shuH6942;and you scatterזְרֵה־ze.reh-H2219theburningH784coalsH784abroadהָ֑לְאָהHal.'ahH1973.

47Then Aaronאַהֲרֹ֜ן'a.ha.RonH175tookוַיִּקַּ֨חvai.yi.KachH3947itas Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872had spokenדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696,and ranוַיָּ֙רָץ֙vai.Ya.rotzH7323into the midstתּ֣וֹךTokhH8432of the assemblyהַקָּהָ֔לha.ka.HalH6951,for beholdוְהִנֵּ֛הve.hi.NehH2009,the plagueהַנֶּ֖גֶףha.Ne.gefH5063had begunהֵחֵ֥לhe.ChelH2490among the peopleבָּעָ֑םba.'AmH5971.So he putוַיִּתֵּן֙vai.yi.TenH5414onthe incenseהַקְּטֹ֔רֶתha.ke.To.retH7004and madeH3722atonementוַיְכַפֵּ֖רvay.kha.PerH3722for the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971.
