45Then Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290tookוַיִּקַּ֥חvai.yi.KachH3947a stoneאָ֑בֶן'A.venH68and setוַיְרִימֶ֖הָvay.ri.Me.haH7311it up asa pillarמַצֵּבָֽה׃ma.tze.VahH4676.

46Jacobיַעֲקֹ֤בya.'a.KoH3290saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to hiskinsmenלְאֶחָיו֙le.'e.ChavH251, “Gatherלִקְט֣וּlik.TuH3950stonesאֲבָנִ֔ים'a.va.NimH68.”So they tookוַיִּקְח֥וּvai.yik.ChuH3947stonesאֲבָנִ֖ים'a.va.NimH68and madeוַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־vai.ya.'a.su-H6213a heapגָ֑לGalH1530,and they ateוַיֹּ֥אכְלוּvai.Yo.khe.luH398thereשָׁ֖םshamH8033by the heapהַגָּֽל׃ha.GalH1530.

47Now Labanלָבָ֔ןla.VanH3837calledוַיִּקְרָא־vai.yik.ra'-H7121itJegar-sahaduthaH3026,but Jacobוְיַֽעֲקֹ֔בve.ya.'a.KoH3290calledקָ֥רָאKa.ra'H7121itGaleedגַּלְעֵֽד׃gal.'EdH1567.

48Labanלָבָ֔ןla.VanH3837saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Thisהַזֶּ֥הha.ZehH2088heapהַגַּ֨לha.GalH1530is a witnessעֵ֛ד'edH5707betweenH996you and me this dayהַיּ֑וֹםhai.YomH3117.”Thereforeעַל־ כֵּ֥ן'al- kenH5921 H3651it was namedקָרָֽא־ שְׁמ֖וֹka.ra'- she.MoH7121 H8034Galeedגַּלְעֵֽד׃gal.'EdH1567,

49andMizpahוְהַמִּצְפָּה֙ve.ha.mitz.PahH4709,for he saidאָמַ֔ר'a.MarH559, “May the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068watchיִ֥צֶףYi.tzefH6822betweenH996you and me whenכִּ֥יkiH3588we areabsentנִסָּתֵ֖רni.sa.TerH5641oneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376from the otherמֵרֵעֵֽהוּ׃me.re.'E.huH7453.

50Ifאִם־'im-H518you mistreatתְּעַנֶּ֣הte.'a.NehH6031my daughtersבְּנֹתַ֗יbe.no.TaiH1323,or ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518you takeתִּקַּ֤חti.KachH3947wivesנָשִׁים֙na.ShimH802besidesעַל־'al-H5921my daughtersבְּנֹתַ֔יbe.no.TaiH1323, althoughnoאֵ֥ין'einH369manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376is with us, seeרְאֵ֕הre.'EhH7200,Godאֱלֹהִ֥ים'E.lo.HimH430is witnessעֵ֖ד'edH5707betweenH996you and me.”

51Labanלָבָ֖ןla.VanH3837saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Jacobלְיַעֲקֹ֑בle.ya.'a.KoH3290, “Beholdהִנֵּ֣ה׀hi.NehH2009thisהַזֶּ֗הha.ZehH2088heapהַגַּ֣לha.GalH1530and beholdוְהִנֵּה֙ve.hi.NehH2009the pillarהַמַצֵּבָ֔הha.ma.tze.VahH4676whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I have setיָרִ֖יתִיya.Ri.tiH3384betweenH996you and me.

52ThisH2088heapהַגַּ֣לha.GalH1530is a witnessעֵ֚ד'edH5707,and the pillarהַמַּצֵּבָ֑הha.ma.tze.VahH4676is a witnessוְעֵדָ֖הve.'e.DahH5713,that I will not passאֶֽעֱבֹ֤ר'e.'e.VorH5674by thisH2088heapהַגַּ֣לha.GalH1530to you for harm, and you will not passתַעֲבֹ֨רta.'a.VorH5674by thisH2088heapהַגַּ֥לha.GalH1530and thisH2088pillarהַמַּצֵּבָ֥הha.ma.tze.VahH4676to me, for harmH7463.
