Genesis 31:44-54

44Now therefore come thouH3212,let us makeנִכְרְתָ֥הnikh.re.TahH3772a covenantבְרִ֖יתve.RitH1285,I and thou; and let it be for a witnessלְעֵ֖דle.'EdH5707between me and thee.

45And Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290tookוַיִּקַּ֥חvai.yi.KachH3947a stoneאָ֑בֶן'A.venH68,and set it upוַיְרִימֶ֖הָvay.ri.Me.haH7311fora pillarמַצֵּבָֽה׃ma.tze.VahH4676.

46And Jacobיַעֲקֹ֤בya.'a.KoH3290saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto his brethrenלְאֶחָיו֙le.'e.ChavH251,Gatherלִקְט֣וּlik.TuH3950stonesאֲבָנִ֔ים'a.va.NimH68;and they tookוַיִּקְח֥וּvai.yik.ChuH3947stonesאֲבָנִ֖ים'a.va.NimH68,and madeוַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־vai.ya.'a.su-H6213an heapגָ֑לGalH1530:and they did eatוַיֹּ֥אכְלוּvai.Yo.khe.luH398there upon the heapהַגָּֽל׃ha.GalH1530.

47And Labanלָבָ֔ןla.VanH3837calledוַיִּקְרָא־vai.yik.ra'-H7121it Jegar–sahaduthaH3026:but Jacobוְיַֽעֲקֹ֔בve.ya.'a.KoH3290calledקָ֥רָאKa.ra'H7121it Galeedגַּלְעֵֽד׃gal.'EdH1567.

48And Labanלָבָ֔ןla.VanH3837saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,This heapהַגַּ֨לha.GalH1530isa witnessעֵ֛ד'edH5707between me and thee this dayהַיּ֑וֹםhai.YomH3117.Therefore was the nameשְׁמ֖וֹshe.MoH8034of it calledקָרָֽא־ka.ra'-H7121Galeedגַּלְעֵֽד׃gal.'EdH1567;

49And Mizpahוְהַמִּצְפָּה֙ve.ha.mitz.PahH4709;forאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he saidאָמַ֔ר'a.MarH559,The Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068watchיִ֥צֶףYi.tzefH6822between me and thee, when we are absentנִסָּתֵ֖רni.sa.TerH5641oneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376from anotherמֵרֵעֵֽהוּ׃me.re.'E.huH7453.

50If thou shalt afflictתְּעַנֶּ֣הte.'a.NehH6031my daughtersבְּנֹתַ֗יbe.no.TaiH1323,or if thou shalt takeתִּקַּ֤חti.KachH3947otherwivesנָשִׁים֙na.ShimH802besideעַל־'al-H5921my daughtersבְּנֹתַ֔יbe.no.TaiH1323,no manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376iswith us; seeרְאֵ֕הre.'EhH7200,Godאֱלֹהִ֥ים'E.lo.HimH430iswitnessעֵ֖ד'edH5707betwixt me and thee.

51And Labanלָבָ֖ןla.VanH3837saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Jacobלְיַעֲקֹ֑בle.ya.'a.KoH3290,Behold this heapהַגַּ֣לha.GalH1530, and behold thispillarהַמַצֵּבָ֔הha.ma.tze.VahH4676,which I have castיָרִ֖יתִיya.Ri.tiH3384betwixt me and thee;

52This heapהַגַּ֣לha.GalH1530bewitnessעֵ֚ד'edH5707, and thispillarהַמַּצֵּבָ֑הha.ma.tze.VahH4676bewitnessוְעֵדָ֖הve.'e.DahH5713,that I will not pass overאֶֽעֱבֹ֤ר'e.'e.VorH5674this heapהַגַּ֣לha.GalH1530to thee, and that thou shalt not pass overתַעֲבֹ֨רta.'a.VorH5674this heapהַגַּ֥לha.GalH1530and this pillarהַמַּצֵּבָ֥הha.ma.tze.VahH4676unto me, for harmלְרָעָֽה׃le.ra.'AhH7451.

53The Godאֱלֹהֵ֨י'e.lo.HeiH430of Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֜ם'av.ra.HamH85,and the Godוֵֽאלֹהֵ֤יve.lo.HeiH430of Nahorנָחוֹר֙na.chOrH5152,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֖י'e.lo.HeiH430of their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֑ם'a.vi.HemH1,judgeיִשְׁפְּט֣וּyish.pe.TuH8199betwixt us.
