29When Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290had cookedוַיָּ֥זֶדvai.Ya.zedH2102stewנָזִ֑ידna.ZidH5138,Esauעֵשָׂ֛ו'e.SavH6215cameוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935in from the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704and he wasfamishedעָיֵֽף׃'a.YefH5889;

30and Esauעֵשָׂ֜ו'e.SavH6215saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Jacobיַעֲקֹ֗בya.'a.KoH3290, “Pleaseנָא֙na'H4994let me haveH3938a swallowH3938ofthat redH122stuffאֱדֽוֹם׃'e.DomH123there, for I amfamishedעָיֵ֖ף'a.YefH5889.”Thereforeעַל־ כֵּ֥ן'al- kenH5921 H3651his nameשְׁמ֖וֹshe.MoH8034was calledקָרָֽא־ka.ra'-H7121EdomH112.

32Esauעֵשָׂ֔ו'e.SavH6215saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Beholdהִנֵּ֛הhi.NehH2009,I amH1980aboutH1980to dieלָמ֑וּתla.MutH4191;so of whatוְלָמָּה־ve.la.mah-H4100usethen is the birthrightבְּכֹרָֽה׃be.kho.RahH1062to me?”
