1ButGodאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430rememberedוַיִּזְכֹּ֤רvai.yiz.KorH2142Noahנֹ֔חַNo.achH5146and allכָּל־kol-H3605the beastsH2421and allכָּל־kol-H3605the cattleהַבְּהֵמָ֔הha.be.he.MahH929that were with him in the arkבַּתֵּבָ֑הba.te.VahH8392; andGodאֱלֹהִ֥ים'E.lo.HimH430caused a windר֙וּחַ֙Ru.achH7307to passוַיַּעֲבֵ֨רvai.ya.'a.VerH5674overעַל־'al-H5921the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and the waterהַמָּֽיִם׃ha.Ma.yimH4325subsidedוַיָּשֹׁ֖כּוּvai.ya.Sho.kuH7918.

2Alsothe fountainsמַעְיְנֹ֣תma'.ye.NotH4599of the deepתְּה֔וֹםte.HomH8415and thefloodgatesוַֽאֲרֻבֹּ֖תva.'a.ru.BotH699of the skyהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064were closedוַיִּסָּֽכְרוּ֙vai.yi.sa.khe.RuH5534, andthe rainהַגֶּ֖שֶׁםha.Ge.shemH1653from the skyהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064was restrainedוַיִּכָּלֵ֥אvai.yi.ka.Le'H3607;

3and the waterהַמַּ֛יִםha.Ma.yimH4325recededH7725steadilyהָל֣וֹךְha.LokhH1980from the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and at the endמִקְצֵ֕הmik.TzehH7097of one hundredוּמְאַ֖תu.me.'AtH3967and fiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֥יםcha.mi.ShimH2572daysיֽוֹם׃YomH3117the waterהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325decreasedוַיַּחְסְר֣וּvai.yach.se.RuH2637.

4In the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֔יha.she.vi.'IH7637monthבַּחֹ֣דֶשׁba.Cho.deshH2320,on the seventeenthבְּשִׁבְעָה־ עָשָׂ֥רbe.shiv.'ah- 'a.SarH7651 H6240dayי֖וֹםYomH3117of the monthלַחֹ֑דֶשׁla.Cho.deshH2320,the arkהַתֵּבָה֙ha.te.VahH8392restedוַתָּ֤נַחva.Ta.nachH5117upon the mountainsהָרֵ֥יha.ReiH2022of Araratאֲרָרָֽט׃'a.ra.RatH780.

5The waterוְהַמַּ֗יִםve.ha.Ma.yimH4325decreasedוְחָס֔וֹרve.cha.SorH2637steadilyהָל֣וֹךְha.LokhH1980untilעַ֖ד'adH5704the tenthהָֽעֲשִׂירִ֑יha.'a.si.RiH6224monthהַחֹ֣דֶשׁha.Cho.deshH2320;in the tenthבָּֽעֲשִׂירִי֙ba.'a.si.RiH6224month, on the firstבְּאֶחָ֣דbe.'e.ChadH259day of the monthלַחֹ֔דֶשׁla.Cho.deshH2320,the topsרָאשֵׁ֥יra.SheiH7218of the mountainsהֶֽהָרִֽים׃He.ha.RimH2022becameH7200visibleH7200.

6Then it cameוַֽיְהִ֕יvay.HiH1961about at the endמִקֵּ֖ץmi.KetzH7093of fortyאַרְבָּעִ֣ים'ar.ba.'ImH705daysי֑וֹםYomH3117,that Noahנֹ֔חַNo.achH5146openedוַיִּפְתַּ֣חvai.yif.TachH6605thewindowחַלּ֥וֹןcha.LonH2474of the arkהַתֵּבָ֖הha.te.VahH8392whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he had madeעָשָֽׂה׃'a.SahH6213;

7and he sentוַיְשַׁלַּ֖חvay.sha.LachH7971out a ravenהָֽעֹרֵ֑בha.'o.RevH6158, and itflewוַיֵּצֵ֤אvai.ye.Tze'H3318hereיָצוֹא֙ya.tzO'H3318and thereוָשׁ֔וֹבva.ShovH7725untilעַד־'ad-H5704the waterהַמַּ֖יִםha.Ma.yimH4325was driedיְבֹ֥שֶׁתye.Vo.shetH3001upfrom the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

8Then he sentוַיְשַׁלַּ֥חvay.sha.LachH7971out a doveהַיּוֹנָ֖הhai.yo.NahH3123from him, to seeלִרְאוֹת֙lir.'OtH7200if the waterהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325was abatedהֲקַ֣לּוּha.Ka.luH7043from the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the landהָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃Ha.'a.da.MahH127;

9but the doveהַיּוֹנָ֨הhai.yo.NahH3123foundמָצְאָה֩ma.tze.'AhH4672noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808restingH4494placeמָנ֜וֹחַma.No.achH4494for the soleלְכַף־le.khaf-H3709of her footרַגְלָ֗הּrag.LahH7272,so she returnedוַתָּ֤שָׁבva.Ta.shovH7725to him into the arkהַתֵּבָ֔הha.te.VahH8392,for the waterמַ֖יִםMa.yimH4325was on thesurfaceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of allכָל־khol-H3605the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776.Then he putוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971out his handיָדוֹ֙ya.DoH3027and tookוַיִּקָּחֶ֔הָvai.yi.ka.Che.haH3947her, and broughtוַיָּבֵ֥אvai.ya.Ve'H935her into the arkהַתֵּבָֽה׃ha.te.VahH8392to himself.

10So he waitedוַיָּ֣חֶלvai.Ya.chelH2342yetע֔וֹדodH5750anotherאֲחֵרִ֑ים'a.che.RimH312sevenשִׁבְעַ֥תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117;and againוַיֹּ֛סֶףvai.Yo.sefH3254he sentשַׁלַּ֥חsha.LachH7971out the doveהַיּוֹנָ֖הhai.yo.NahH3123from the arkהַתֵּבָֽה׃ha.te.VahH8392.

11The doveהַיּוֹנָה֙hai.yo.NahH3123cameוַתָּבֹ֨אva.ta.Vo'H935to him towardeveningעֶ֔רֶב'E.revH6153,and beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009, in herbeakבְּפִ֑יהָbe.Fi.haH6310was a freshlyH2965pickedH2965oliveזַ֖יִתZa.yitH2132leafעֲלֵה־'a.leh-H5929.So Noahנֹ֔חַNo.achH5146knewוַיֵּ֣דַעvai.Ye.da'H3045that the waterהַמַּ֖יִםha.Ma.yimH4325was abatedקַ֥לּוּKa.luH7043from the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

12Then he waitedוַיִּיָּ֣חֶלvai.yi.Ya.chelH3176yetH5750anotherאֲחֵרִ֑ים'a.che.RimH312sevenשִׁבְעַ֥תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117,and sentוַיְשַׁלַּח֙vay.sha.LachH7971outthe doveהַיּוֹנָ֔הhai.yo.NahH3123;but she did not returnשׁוּב־shuv-H7725to him againיָסְפָ֥הya.se.FahH3254.

13Now it cameוַֽ֠יְהִיVay.hiH1961about in thesixוְשֵׁשׁ־ve.shesh-H8337hundredמֵא֜וֹתme.'otH3967and firstבְּאַחַ֨תbe.'a.ChatH259yearשָׁנָ֗הsha.NahH8141,in the firstבָּֽרִאשׁוֹן֙ba.ri.shOnH7223month,on the firstבְּאֶחָ֣דbe.'e.ChadH259of the monthלַחֹ֔דֶשׁla.Cho.deshH2320,the waterהַמַּ֖יִםha.Ma.yimH4325was driedחָֽרְב֥וּcha.re.VuH2717upfrom the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776.Then Noahנֹ֙חַ֙no.achH5146removedוַיָּ֤סַרvai.Ya.sarH5493the coveringמִכְסֵ֣הmikh.SehH4372of the arkהַתֵּבָ֔הha.te.VahH8392,and lookedוַיַּ֕רְאvai.Yar'H7200,and beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009, thesurfaceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the groundהָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃Ha.'a.da.MahH127was driedחָֽרְב֖וּcha.re.VuH2717up.

14In the secondהַשֵּׁנִ֔יha.she.NiH8145monthוּבַחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙u.va.Cho.deshH2320,on the twenty-seventhבְּשִׁבְעָ֧ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֛יםbe.shiv.'Ah ve.'es.RimH6242 H7651dayי֖וֹםYomH3117of the monthלַחֹ֑דֶשׁla.Cho.deshH2320,the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ סha.'A.retzH776was dryיָבְשָׁ֖הya.ve.ShahH3001.

15Then Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to Noahנֹ֥חַNo.achH5146,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

16“Goצֵ֖אtze'H3318out of the arkהַתֵּבָ֑הha.te.VahH8392,you and your wifeוְאִשְׁתְּךָ֛ve.'ish.te.KhaH802and your sonsוּבָנֶ֥יךָu.va.Nei.khaH1121and your sons’בָנֶ֖יךָva.Nei.khaH1121wivesוּנְשֵֽׁי־u.ne.shei-H802with you.

17Bringהַיְצֵ֣אhay.tze'H3318out with you everyכָּל־kol-H3605livingH2421thingH2421of allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605fleshבָּשָׂ֗רba.SarH1320that is with you, birdsבָּע֧וֹףba.'ofH5775and animalsוּבַבְּהֵמָ֛הu.va.be.he.MahH929and everyוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3605creepingH7431thingהָרֶ֛מֶשׂha.Re.mesH7431that creepsהָרֹמֵ֥שׂha.ro.MesH7430on the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776, that they maybreedH8317abundantlyH8317on the earthבָאָ֔רֶץva.'A.retzH776,and be fruitfulוּפָר֥וּu.fa.RuH6509and multiplyוְרָב֖וּve.ra.VuH7235on the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.”

18So Noahנֹ֑חַNo.achH5146wentוַיֵּ֖צֵא־vai.Ye.tze'-H3318out, and his sonsוּבָנָ֛יוu.va.NavH1121and his wifeוְאִשְׁתּ֥וֹve.'ish.ToH802and his sons’בָנָ֖יוva.NavH1121wivesוּנְשֵֽׁי־u.ne.shei-H802with him.

19Everyכָּל־kol-H3605beastH2421,everyכָּל־kol-H3605creepingH7431thingהָרֶ֙מֶשׂ֙ha.Re.mesH7431,and everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605birdהָע֔וֹףha.'ofH5775,everythingכֹּ֖לkolH3605that movesרוֹמֵ֣שׂro.MesH7430on the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,wentיָצְא֖וּya.tze.'UH3318outby their familiesלְמִשְׁפְּחֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔םle.mish.pe.Cho.tei.HemH4940from the arkהַתֵּבָֽה׃ha.te.VahH8392.

20Then Noahנֹ֛חַNo.achH5146builtוַיִּ֥בֶןvai.Yi.venH1129an altarמִזְבֵּ֖חַmiz.Be.achH4196to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068,and tookוַיִּקַּ֞חvai.yi.KachH3947of everyמִכֹּ֣ל׀mi.KolH3605cleanהַטְּהוֹרָ֗הha.te.ho.RahH2889animalהַבְּהֵמָ֣הha.be.he.MahH929and of everyוּמִכֹּל֙u.mi.KolH3605cleanהַטָּהֹ֔רha.ta.HorH2889birdהָע֣וֹףha.'ofH5775and offeredוַיַּ֥עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927burntעֹלֹ֖ת'o.LotH5930offeringsH5930on the altarבַּמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ba.miz.Be.achH4196.
