3Allכָּל־kol-H3605theseאֵ֙לֶּה֙'e.lehH428cameH2266as alliesH2266tothe valleyעֵ֖מֶק'E.mekH6010of Siddimהַשִּׂדִּ֑יםha.si.DimH7708(that is,the Saltהַמֶּֽלַח׃ha.Me.lachH4417Seaיָ֥םyamH3220).

10Now the valleyוְעֵ֣מֶקve.'E.mekH6010of Siddimהַשִׂדִּ֗יםha.si.DimH7708was full of tarחֵמָ֔רche.MarH2564pitsH875; andthe kingsמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Sodomסְדֹ֥םse.DomH5467and Gomorrahוַעֲמֹרָ֖הva.'a.mo.RahH6017fledוַיָּנֻ֛סוּvai.ya.Nu.suH5127,and they fellוַיִּפְּלוּ־vai.yi.pe.lu-H5307into them. But those who survivedוְהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֖יםve.ha.nish.'a.RimH7604fledנָּֽסוּ׃Na.suH5127to thehillהֶ֥רָהHe.rahH2022countryH2022.

11Then they tookוַ֠יִּקְחוּVai.yik.chuH3947allכָּל־kol-H3605the goodsרְכֻ֨שׁre.KhushH7399of Sodomסְדֹ֧םse.DomH5467and Gomorrahוַעֲמֹרָ֛הva.'a.mo.RahH6017and allכָּל־kol-H3605their foodאָכְלָ֖ם'a.khe.LamH400supplyH400,and departedוַיֵּלֵֽכוּ׃vai.ye.Le.khuH1980.

12They also tookוַיִּקְח֨וּvai.yik.ChuH3947Lotל֧וֹטLotH3876,Abram’sאַבְרָ֖ם'av.RamH87nephewבֶּן־ אֲחִ֥יben- 'a.ChiH1121 H251,and his possessionsרְכֻשׁ֛וֹre.khu.ShoH7399and departedוַיֵּלֵ֑כוּvai.ye.Le.khuH1980,for he was livingיֹשֵׁ֖בyo.ShevH3427in Sodomבִּסְדֹֽם׃bis.DomH5467.

13Thena fugitiveהַפָּלִ֔יטha.pa.LitH6412cameוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935and toldוַיַּגֵּ֖דvai.ya.GedH5046Abramלְאַבְרָ֣םle.'av.RamH87theHebrewהָעִבְרִ֑יha.'iv.RiH5680. 14When Abramאַבְרָ֔ם'av.RamH87heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֣עvai.yish.Ma'H8085that hisrelativeאָחִ֑יו'a.ChivH251had been takenH7617captiveנִשְׁבָּ֖הnish.BahH7617, heledH7385out his trainedH2593menH2593,bornיְלִידֵ֣יye.li.DeiH3211in his houseבֵית֗וֹvei.ToH1004,threeוּשְׁלֹ֣שׁu.she.LoshH7969hundredמֵא֔וֹתme.'otH3967and eighteenשְׁמֹנָ֤ה עָשָׂר֙she.mo.Nah 'a.SarH8083 H6240,and wentH7291in pursuitH7291as farעַד־'ad-H5704asDanדָּֽן׃DanH1835.

15He dividedוַיֵּחָלֵ֨קvai.ye.cha.LekH2505his forces againstעֲלֵיהֶ֧ם׀'a.lei.HemH5921them by nightלַ֛יְלָהLay.lahH3915,he and his servantsוַעֲבָדָ֖יוva.'a.va.DavH5650, anddefeatedוַיַּכֵּ֑םvai.ya.KemH5221them, and pursuedוַֽיִּרְדְּפֵם֙vai.yir.de.FemH7291them as farעַד־'ad-H5704as Hobahחוֹבָ֔הcho.VahH2327,whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834isnorthמִשְּׂמֹ֖אלmi.se.MolH8040ofDamascusלְדַמָּֽשֶׂק׃le.da.Ma.sekH1834.

17Then afterאַחֲרֵ֣י'a.cha.ReiH310his returnשׁוּב֗וֹshu.VoH7725from thedefeatמֵֽהַכּוֹת֙me.ha.kOtH5221of Chedorlaomerכְּדָרְ־לָעֹ֔מֶרKedor-la.'ֹo.merH3540and the kingsמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834were with him,the kingהַמְּלָכִ֖יםha.me.la.KhimH4428of Sodomסְדֹם֮se.DomH5467wentוַיֵּצֵ֣אvai.ye.Tze'H3318out to meetלִקְרָאתוֹ֒lik.ra.ToH7122him at the valleyעֵ֣מֶק'E.mekH6010of Shavehשָׁוֵ֔הsha.VehH7740(that is,the King’sהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428Valleyעֵ֥מֶק'E.mekH6010).

18AndMelchizedekH4442kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Salemשָׁלֵ֔םsha.LemH8004broughtהוֹצִ֖יאho.Tzi'H3318outbreadלֶ֣חֶםLe.chemH3899and wineוָיָ֑יִןva.Ya.yinH3196; now he was apriestכֹהֵ֖ןkho.HenH3548ofGodלְאֵ֥לle.'ElH410Mostעֶלְיֽוֹן׃el.YonH5945HighH5945.

19He blessedוַֽיְבָרְכֵ֖הוּvay.va.re.Khe.huH1288him and saidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559, “Blessedבָּר֤וּךְba.RukhH1288be Abramאַבְרָם֙'av.RamH87ofGodH430Mostעֶלְי֔וֹןel.YonH5945HighH5945,Possessorקֹנֵ֖הko.NehH7069of heavenשָׁמַ֥יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064and earthוָאָֽרֶץ׃va.'A.retzH776;

20And blessedוּבָרוּךְ֙u.va.ruKhH1288beGodH430Mostעֶלְי֔וֹןel.YonH5945HighH5945,Whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834has deliveredמִגֵּ֥ןmi.GenH4042your enemiesצָרֶ֖יךָtza.Rei.khaH6862into your handבְּיָדֶ֑ךָbe.ya.De.khaH3027.”He gaveוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414him a tenthמַעֲשֵׂ֖רma.'a.SerH4643of allמִכֹּֽל׃mi.KolH3605.

21The kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Sodomסְדֹ֖םse.DomH5467saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Abramאַבְרָ֑ם'av.RamH87, “Giveתֶּן־ten-H5414thepeopleהַנֶּ֔פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315to me and takeקַֽח־kach-H3947the goodsוְהָרְכֻ֖שׁve.ha.re.KhushH7399for yourself.”

22Abramאַבְרָ֖ם'av.RamH87saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Sodomסְדֹ֑םse.DomH5467, “I haveswornהֲרִימֹ֨תִי יָדִ֤יha.ri.Mo.ti ya.DiH7311 H3027to the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068GodH430Mostעֶלְי֔וֹןel.YonH5945HighH5945,possessorקֹנֵ֖הko.NehH7069of heavenשָׁמַ֥יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064and earthוָאָֽרֶץ׃va.'A.retzH776,

23thatI will not takeאֶקַּ֖ח'e.KachH3947a threadמִחוּט֙mi.ChutH2339or a sandalנַ֔עַלNa.'alH5275thongשְׂרֽוֹךְ־se.rokh-H8288or anythingמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605that is yours, for fear you would sayתֹאמַ֔רto.MarH559, ‘I have madeH6238Abramאַבְרָֽם׃'av.RamH87richהֶעֱשַׁ֥רְתִּיhe.'e.Shar.tiH6238.’
