2Let my teachingלִקְחִ֔יlik.ChiH3948dropיַעֲרֹ֤ףya.'a.RofH6201as the rainכַּמָּטָר֙ka.ma.TarH4306,My speechאִמְרָתִ֑י'im.ra.TiH565distillתִּזַּ֥לti.ZalH5140as the dewכַּטַּ֖לka.TalH2919,As the dropletsכִּשְׂעִירִ֣םkis.'i.RimH8164on the freshH1877grassדֶ֔שֶׁאDe.she'H1877And as the showersוְכִרְבִיבִ֖יםve.khir.vi.VimH7241on the herbעֵֽשֶׂב׃'E.sevH6212.

3For I proclaimאֶקְרָ֑א'ek.Ra'H7121the nameשֵׁ֥םshemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068;Ascribeהָב֥וּha.VuH3051greatnessגֹ֖דֶלGo.delH1433to our Godלֵאלֹהֵֽינוּ׃le.lo.Hei.nuH430!

4The Rockהַצּוּר֙ha.TzurH6697!His workפָּעֳל֔וֹpo.'o.LoH6467is perfectתָּמִ֣יםta.MimH8549,For allכָל־khol-H3605His waysדְּרָכָ֖יוde.ra.KhavH1870arejustמִשְׁפָּ֑טmish.PatH4941;A Godאֵ֤ל'elH410of faithfulnessאֱמוּנָה֙'e.mu.NahH530and withoutוְאֵ֣יןve.'EinH369injusticeעָ֔וֶל'A.velH5766,Righteousצַדִּ֥יקtza.DikH6662and uprightוְיָשָׁ֖רve.ya.SharH3477is He.

5They have actedH7843corruptlyשִׁחֵ֥תshi.ChetH7843toward Him, They arenot His childrenבָּנָ֣יוba.NavH1121,because of their defectH4140; But area perverseעִקֵּ֖שׁ'i.KeshH6141and crookedוּפְתַלְתֹּֽל׃u.fe.tal.TolH6618generationדּ֥וֹרDorH1755.

9For the Lord’sיְהֹוָ֖הYah.wehH3068portionחֵ֥לֶקChe.lekH2506is His peopleעַמּ֑וֹa.MoH5971;Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290is the allotmentחֶ֥בֶלChe.velH2256of His inheritanceנַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃na.cha.la.ToH5159.

10He foundיִמְצָאֵ֙הוּ֙yim.tza.'E.huH4672him in a desertמִדְבָּ֔רmid.BarH4057landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776,And in the howlingיְלֵ֣לye.LelH3214wasteוּבְתֹ֖הוּu.ve.To.huH8414of a wildernessיְשִׁמֹ֑ןye.shi.MonH3452;He encircledיְסֹֽבְבֶ֙נְהוּ֙ye.soe.Ven.huH5437him, He caredיְב֣וֹנְנֵ֔הוּye.Vo.Ne.huH995for him,He guardedH5431him asthe pupilכְּאִישׁ֥וֹןke.'i.ShonH380of His eyeעֵינֽוֹ׃ei.NoH5869.

11Like an eagleכְּנֶ֙שֶׁר֙ke.Ne.sherH5404that stirsיָעִ֣ירya.'IrH5782up its nestקִנּ֔וֹki.NoH7064,That hoversיְרַחֵ֑ףye.ra.ChefH7363overH5921its youngגּוֹזָלָ֖יוgo.za.LavH1469,He spreadיִפְרֹ֤שׂyif.RosH6566His wingsכְּנָפָיו֙ke.na.FavH3671and caughtיִקָּחֵ֔הוּyi.ka.Che.huH3947them,He carriedיִשָּׂאֵ֖הוּyi.sa.'E.huH5375them on His pinionsאֶבְרָתֽוֹ׃'ev.ra.ToH84.

12The Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068aloneבָּדָ֣דba.DadH910guidedיַנְחֶ֑נּוּyan.Che.nuH5148him,And thereH369was noH369foreignנֵכָֽר׃ne.KharH5236godאֵ֥ל'elH410with him.

13He made him rideיַרְכִּבֵ֙הוּ֙yar.ki.Ve.huH7392on the highבָּ֣מֳתֵיba.mo.teiH1116placesH1116of the earthאָ֔רֶץ'A.retzH776,And he ateוַיֹּאכַ֖לvai.yo.KhalH398the produceתְּנוּבֹ֣תte.nu.VotH8570of the fieldH7706;And He made him suckוַיֵּנִקֵ֤הֽוּvai.ye.ni.Ke.huH3243honeyדְבַשׁ֙de.VashH1706from the rockמִסֶּ֔לַעmi.Se.la'H5553, Andoilוְשֶׁ֖מֶןve.She.menH8081from the flintyמֵחַלְמִ֥ישׁme.chal.MishH2496rockצֽוּר׃TzurH6697,

14Curdsחֶמְאַ֨תchem.'AtH2529of cowsבָּקָ֜רba.KarH1241,and milkוַחֲלֵ֣בva.cha.LevH2461of the flockצֹ֗אןTzonH6629,With fatחֵ֨לֶבChe.levH2459of lambsכָּרִ֜יםka.RimH3733,And ramsוְאֵילִ֤יםve.'ei.LimH352,the breedבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Bashanבָשָׁן֙va.ShanH1316,and goatsוְעַתּוּדִ֔יםve.'a.tu.DimH6260,With the finestחֵ֖לֶב כִּלְי֣וֹתChe.lev kil.YotH2459 H3629of the wheatחִטָּ֑הchi.TahH2406-- And of thebloodוְדַם־ve.dam-H1818of grapesעֵנָ֖ב'e.NavH6025you drankתִּשְׁתֶּה־tish.teh-H8354wineחָֽמֶר׃Cha.merH2561.

15“ButJeshurunיְשֻׁרוּן֙ye.shu.RunH3484grewH8080fatוַיִּשְׁמַ֤ןvai.yish.ManH8080and kickedוַיִּבְעָ֔טvai.yiv.'AtH1163--You are grownH8080fatשָׁמַ֖נְתָּsha.Man.taH8080,thickעָבִ֣יתָ'a.Vi.taH5666,and sleekכָּשִׂ֑יתָka.Si.taH3780--Then he forsookוַיִּטֹּשׁ֙vai.yi.ToshH5203Godאֱל֣וֹהַ'e.Lo.haH433who madeעָשָׂ֔הוּ'a.Sa.huH6213him,And scornedוַיְנַבֵּ֖לvay.na.BelH5034the Rockצ֥וּרtzurH6697of his salvationיְשֻׁעָתֽוֹ׃ye.shu.'a.ToH3444.

16They madeH7065Him jealousיַקְנִאֻ֖הוּyak.ni.'U.huH7065with strangeבְּזָרִ֑יםbe.za.RimH2114gods;With abominationsבְּתוֹעֵבֹ֖תbe.to.'e.VotH8441they provokedH3707Him to angerיַכְעִיסֻֽהוּ׃yakh.'i.Su.huH3707.

17They sacrificedיִזְבְּח֗וּyiz.be.ChuH2076to demonsלַשֵּׁדִים֙la.she.DimH7700who were not Godאֱלֹ֔הַ'e.Lo.haH433,To godsאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430whom they have not knownיְדָע֑וּםye.da.'UmH3045,Newחֲדָשִׁים֙cha.da.ShimH2319godswho cameבָּ֔אוּBa.'uH935latelyמִקָּרֹ֣בmi.ka.RoH7138,Whom your fathersאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃'a.vo.tei.KhemH1did not dreadשְׂעָר֖וּםse.'a.RumH8175.

18You neglectedתֶּ֑שִׁיTe.shiH7876the Rockצ֥וּרtzurH6697who begotיְלָדְךָ֖ye.la.de.KhaH3205you,And forgotוַתִּשְׁכַּ֖חva.tish.KachH7911the Godאֵ֥ל'elH410who gaveH2342you birthמְחֹלְלֶֽךָ׃me.cho.le.Le.khaH2342.

19“The Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068sawוַיַּ֥רְאvai.Yar'H7200this,and spurnedוַיִּנְאָ֑ץvai.yin.'AtzH5006themBecauseH4480of the provocationמִכַּ֥עַסmi.Ka.'asH3708of His sonsבָּנָ֖יוba.NavH1121and daughtersוּבְנֹתָֽיו׃u.ve.no.TavH1323.

20Then He saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, ‘I will hideאַסְתִּ֤ירָה'as.Ti.rahH5641My faceפָנַי֙fa.NaiH6440from them,I will seeאֶרְאֶ֖ה'er.'EhH7200whatמָ֣הmahH4100their endאַחֲרִיתָ֑ם'a.cha.ri.TamH319shall be;For they are a perverseתַּהְפֻּכֹת֙tah.pu.KhotH8419generationד֤וֹרDorH1755,Sonsבָּנִ֖יםba.NimH1121in whom is noלֹא־lo'-H3808faithfulnessאֵמֻ֥ן'e.MunH529.

21They have madeH7065Me jealousH7065with whatis not Godאֵ֔ל'ElH410;They have provokedH3707Me to angerכִּעֲס֖וּנִיki.'a.Su.niH3707with theiridolsבְּהַבְלֵיהֶ֑םbe.hav.lei.HemH1892.So I will make them jealousH7065with those whoare not a peopleעָ֔ם'AmH5971;I will provokeאַכְעִיסֵֽם׃'akh.'i.SemH3707them to angerH3707with a foolishנָבָ֖לna.ValH5036nationבְּג֥וֹיbe.GoyH1471,

22For a fireאֵשׁ֙'eshH784is kindledקָדְחָ֣הka.de.ChahH6919in My angerבְאַפִּ֔יve.'a.PiH639,And burnsוַתִּיקַ֖דva.ti.KadH3344to the lowestתַּחְתִּ֑יתtach.TitH8482partH8482ofSheolשְׁא֣וֹלshe.'olH7585,And consumesוַתֹּ֤אכַלva.To.khalH398the earthאֶ֙רֶץ֙'e.retzH776with its yieldוִֽיבֻלָ֔הּvi.vu.LahH2981,And setsוַתְּלַהֵ֖טva.te.la.HetH3857on fireH3857the foundationsמוֹסְדֵ֥יmos.DeiH4144of the mountainsהָרִֽים׃ha.RimH2022.

23‘I will heapאַסְפֶּ֥ה'as.PehH5595misfortunesH7463on them;I will useאֲכַלֶּה־'a.kha.leh-H3615My arrowsחִצַּ֖יchi.TzaiH2671on them.

24They will bewastedמְזֵ֥יme.ZeiH4198by famineרָעָ֛בra.'AvH7458,and consumedוּלְחֻ֥מֵיu.le.Chu.meiH3898byplagueרֶ֖שֶׁףRe.shefH7565And bitterמְרִירִ֑יme.ri.RiH4815destructionוְקֶ֣טֶבve.Ke.tevH6986;And the teethוְשֶׁן־ve.shen-H8127of beastsבְּהֵמוֹת֙be.he.mOtH929I will sendאֲשַׁלַּח־'a.sha.lach-H7971upon them,With the venomחֲמַ֖תcha.MatH2534of crawlingזֹחֲלֵ֥יzo.cha.LeiH2119thingsH2119of the dustעָפָֽר׃'a.FarH6083.

25Outsideמִחוּץ֙mi.ChutzH4480 H2351the swordחֶ֔רֶבChe.revH2719will bereaveתְּשַׁכֶּל־te.sha.kel-H7921,And insideוּמֵחֲדָרִ֖יםu.me.cha.da.RimH4480 H2315terrorאֵימָ֑ה'ei.MahH367--BothH1571youngבָּחוּר֙ba.ChurH970manH970and virginבְּתוּלָ֔הbe.tu.LahH1330,The nurslingיוֹנֵ֖קyo.NekH3243with the manאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376of grayשֵׂיבָֽה׃sei.VahH7872hairH7872.

26I would have saidאָמַ֖רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559, “I will cutH6284them to piecesH6284,I will removeאַשְׁבִּ֥יתָה'ash.Bi.tahH7673the memoryזִכְרָֽם׃zikh.RamH2143of them from menמֵאֱנ֖וֹשׁme.'e.No.oshH582,”

27Had I not fearedאָג֔וּר'a.GurH1481the provocationכַּ֤עַסKa.'asH3708by the enemyH340,That their adversariesצָרֵ֑ימוֹtza.Rei.movH6862would misjudgeH5235,That they would sayיֹֽאמְרוּ֙yo.me.RuH559, “Our handיָדֵ֣ינוּya.Dei.nuH3027istriumphantרָ֔מָהRa.mahH7311,And the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has not doneפָּעַ֥לpa.'AlH6466allכָּל־kol-H3605thisH2088.”’

28“For they are a nationג֛וֹיGoyH1471lackingאֹבַ֥ד'o.VadH6in counselעֵצ֖וֹתe.TzotH6098,And thereH369is noH369understandingתְּבוּנָֽה׃te.vu.NahH8394in them.

29Wouldל֥וּluH3863that they were wiseחָכְמ֖וּcha.khe.MuH2449,that they understoodיַשְׂכִּ֣ילוּyas.Ki.luH7919thisH2088,That they would discernיָבִ֖ינוּya.Vi.nuH995theirfutureלְאַחֲרִיתָֽם׃le.'a.cha.ri.TamH319!

30HowH351could oneאֶחָד֙'e.ChadH259chaseיִרְדֹּ֤ףyir.DofH7291a thousandאֶ֔לֶף'E.lefH505,And twoוּשְׁנַ֖יִםu.she.Na.yimH8147putH5127tenרְבָבָ֑הre.va.VahH7233thousandH7233to flightH5127,Unlessאִם־ לֹא֙ כִּי־'im- lo' ki-H518 H3808 H3588theirRockצוּרָ֣םtzu.RamH6697had soldמְכָרָ֔םme.kha.RamH4376them,And the Lordוַֽיהוָ֖הva.Yah.wehH3068had givenהִסְגִּירָֽם׃his.gi.RamH5462them up?

31Indeedכִּ֛יkiH3588their rockכְצוּרֵ֖נוּkhe.tzu.Re.nuH6697is not like our Rockצוּרָ֑םtzu.RamH6697,Even our enemiesH340themselves judgeפְּלִילִֽים׃pe.li.LimH6414this.

32For their vineמִגֶּ֤פֶןmi.Ge.fenH1612is from the vineגַּפְנָ֔םgaf.NamH1612of Sodomסְדֹם֙se.DomH5467,And from the fieldsוּמִשַּׁדְמֹ֖תu.mi.shad.MotH7709of Gomorrahעֲמֹרָ֑ה'a.mo.RahH6017;Their grapesעֲנָבֵ֙מוֹ֙'a.na.Ve.movH6025are grapesעִנְּבֵי־'i.ne.vei-H6025ofpoisonר֔וֹשׁRo.oshH7219,Their clustersאַשְׁכְּלֹ֥ת'ash.ke.LotH811,bitterמְרֹרֹ֖תme.ro.RotH4846.

33Their wineיֵינָ֑םyei.NamH3196is the venomחֲמַ֥תcha.MatH2534ofserpentsתַּנִּינִ֖םta.ni.NimH8577, And thedeadlyאַכְזָֽר׃'akh.ZarH393poisonוְרֹ֥אשׁve.RoshH7219of cobrasפְּתָנִ֖יםpe.ta.NimH6620.

34‘Is it not laidH3647up in storeH3647with Me,Sealedחָתֻ֖םcha.TumH2856up in My treasuriesבְּאוֹצְרֹתָֽי׃be.'otz.ro.TaiH214?

35Vengeanceנָקָם֙na.KamH5359is Mine, and retributionוְשִׁלֵּ֔םve.shi.LemH8005,In due timeלְעֵ֖תle.'EtH6256their footרַגְלָ֑םrag.LamH7272will slipתָּמ֣וּטta.MutH4131;For the dayי֣וֹםYomH3117of their calamityאֵידָ֔ם'ei.DamH343is nearקָרוֹב֙ka.rOvH7138,And the impendingH6264thingsH6264are hasteningוְחָ֖שׁve.ChashH2363upon them.’

36For the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will vindicateיָדִ֤יןya.DinH1777His peopleעַמּ֔וֹa.MoH5971,And will haveH5162compassionיִתְנֶחָ֑םyit.ne.ChamH5162on His servantsעֲבָדָ֖יו'a.va.DavH5650,WhenH3588He seesיִרְאֶה֙yir.'EhH7200that theirstrengthיָ֔דYadH3027is goneאָ֣זְלַת'A.ze.latH235,And thereH657is noneH657remaining,bondעָצ֥וּר'a.TzurH6113or freeוְעָזֽוּב׃ve.'a.ZuvH5800.

37And He will sayוְאָמַ֖רve.'a.MarH559, ‘Whereאֵ֣י'eiH335are their godsאֱלֹהֵ֑ימוֹ'e.lo.Hei.movH430,The rockצ֖וּרtzurH6697in which they soughtH2620refugeחָסָ֥יוּcha.Sa.yuH2620?

38Whoאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834ateיֹאכֵ֔לוּyo.Khe.luH398the fatחֵ֤לֶבChe.levH2459of their sacrificesזְבָחֵ֙ימוֹ֙ze.va.Chei.movH2077, Anddrankיִשְׁתּ֖וּyish.TuH8354the wineיֵ֣יןyeinH3196of their drinkH5257offeringH5257?Let them riseיָק֙וּמוּ֙ya.Ku.muH6965up and helpוְיַעְזְרֻכֶ֔םve.ya'.ze.ru.KhemH5826you,Let them be your hidingH5643placeH5643!

39Seeרְא֣וּ׀re.'UH7200nowעַתָּ֗ה'a.TahH6258that I, I am He,And thereH369is noH369godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430besidesעִמָּדִ֑י'i.ma.DiH5973Me;It is I who putאָמִ֣ית'a.MitH4191to deathH4191and giveH2421lifeוַאֲחַיֶּ֗הva.'a.chai.YehH2421.I have woundedמָחַ֙צְתִּי֙ma.Chatz.tiH4272and it is I who healאֶרְפָּ֔א'er.Pa'H7495,And thereH369is noH369oneH369who can deliverמַצִּֽיל׃ma.TzilH5337from My handמִיָּדִ֖יmi.ya.DiH3027.

40Indeedכִּֽי־ki-H3588,I liftאֶשָּׂ֥א'e.Sa'H5375up My handיָדִ֑יya.DiH3027to heavenשָׁמַ֖יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064,And sayוְאָמַ֕רְתִּיve.'a.Mar.tiH559,as I liveחַ֥יchaiH2416foreverלְעֹלָֽם׃le.'o.LamH5769,

41Ifאִם־'im-H518I sharpenשַׁנּוֹתִי֙sha.no.TiH8150Myflashingבְּרַ֣קbe.RakH1300swordחַרְבִּ֔יchar.BiH2719,And My handיָדִ֑יya.DiH3027takesוְתֹאחֵ֥זve.to.ChezH270holdH270on justiceבְּמִשְׁפָּ֖טbe.mish.PatH4941,I will renderאָשִׁ֤יב'a.ShivH7725vengeanceנָקָם֙na.KamH5359on My adversariesלְצָרָ֔יle.tza.RaiH6862,And I will repayאֲשַׁלֵּֽם׃'a.sha.LemH7999those who hateוְלִמְשַׂנְאַ֖יve.lim.san.'AiH8130Me.

42I will make My arrowsחִצַּי֙chi.TzaiH2671drunkאַשְׁכִּ֤יר'ash.KirH7937with bloodמִדָּ֔םmi.DamH1818,And My swordוְחַרְבִּ֖יve.char.BiH2719will devourתֹּאכַ֣לto.KhalH398fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320,With the bloodמִדַּ֤םmi.DamH1818of the slainחָלָל֙cha.LalH2491and the captivesוְשִׁבְיָ֔הve.shiv.YahH7633,From the long-hairedפַּרְע֥וֹתpar.'otH6546leadersמֵרֹ֖אשׁme.RoshH7218of the enemyH340.’

43Rejoiceהַרְנִ֤ינוּhar.Ni.nuH7442,O nationsגוֹיִם֙go.YimH1471, withHis peopleעַמּ֔וֹa.MoH5971;For He will avengeיִקּ֑וֹםyi.KomH5358the bloodדַם־dam-H1818of His servantsעֲבָדָ֖יו'a.va.DavH5650,And will renderיָשִׁ֣יבya.ShivH7725vengeanceוְנָקָם֙ve.na.KamH5359on His adversariesלְצָרָ֔יוle.tza.RavH6862,And will atoneוְכִפֶּ֥רve.khi.PerH3722for His landאַדְמָת֖וֹ'ad.ma.ToH127andHis peopleעַמּֽוֹ׃ פa.MoH5971.”

44Then Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872cameוַיָּבֹ֣אvai.ya.Vo'H935and spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֛רvay.da.BerH1696allכָּל־kol-H3605the wordsדִּבְרֵ֥יdiv.ReiH1697of thisH2088songהַשִּׁירָֽה־ha.shi.rah-H7892in the hearingבְּאָזְנֵ֣יbe.'a.ze.NeiH241of the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971, he, withJoshuaוְהוֹשֵׁ֥עַve.ho.She.a'H1954the sonבִּן־bin-H1121of Nunנֽוּן׃NunH5126.
