2My doctrineלִקְחִ֔יlik.ChiH3948shall dropיַעֲרֹ֤ףya.'a.RofH6201as the rainכַּמָּטָר֙ka.ma.TarH4306,my speechאִמְרָתִ֑י'im.ra.TiH565shall distilתִּזַּ֥לti.ZalH5140as the dewכַּטַּ֖לka.TalH2919,as the small rainכִּשְׂעִירִ֣םkis.'i.RimH8164upon the tender herbדֶ֔שֶׁאDe.she'H1877,and as the showersוְכִרְבִיבִ֖יםve.khir.vi.VimH7241upon the grassעֵֽשֶׂב׃'E.sevH6212:

17They sacrificedיִזְבְּח֗וּyiz.be.ChuH2076unto devilsלַשֵּׁדִים֙la.she.DimH7700,not to Godאֱלֹ֔הַ'e.Lo.haH433;to godsאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430whom they knewיְדָע֑וּםye.da.'UmH3045not, to newחֲדָשִׁים֙cha.da.ShimH2319gods thatcameבָּ֔אוּBa.'uH935newlyמִקָּרֹ֣בmi.ka.RoH7138upH935,whom your fathersאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃'a.vo.tei.KhemH1fearedשְׂעָר֖וּםse.'a.RumH8175not.

18Of the Rockצ֥וּרtzurH6697thatbegatיְלָדְךָ֖ye.la.de.KhaH3205thee thou art unmindfulתֶּ֑שִׁיTe.shiH7876,and hast forgottenוַתִּשְׁכַּ֖חva.tish.KachH7911Godאֵ֥ל'elH410that formedמְחֹלְלֶֽךָ׃me.cho.le.Le.khaH2342thee.

19And when the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068sawוַיַּ֥רְאvai.Yar'H7200it,he abhorredוַיִּנְאָ֑ץvai.yin.'AtzH5006them,because of the provokingמִכַּ֥עַסmi.Ka.'asH3708of his sonsבָּנָ֖יוba.NavH1121,and of his daughtersוּבְנֹתָֽיו׃u.ve.no.TavH1323.

20And he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,I will hideאַסְתִּ֤ירָה'as.Ti.rahH5641my faceפָנַי֙fa.NaiH6440from them, I will seeאֶרְאֶ֖ה'er.'EhH7200what their endאַחֲרִיתָ֑ם'a.cha.ri.TamH319shall be: for they area very frowardתַּהְפֻּכֹת֙tah.pu.KhotH8419generationד֤וֹרDorH1755,childrenבָּנִ֖יםba.NimH1121in whom isno faithאֵמֻ֥ן'e.MunH529.

21They have moved me to jealousyקִנְא֣וּנִיkin.'U.niH7065with that which isnotH3808Godאֵ֔ל'ElH410;they have provoked me to angerכִּעֲס֖וּנִיki.'a.Su.niH3707with their vanitiesבְּהַבְלֵיהֶ֑םbe.hav.lei.HemH1892:and I will move them to jealousyאַקְנִיאֵ֣ם'ak.ni.'EmH7065with those which arenot a peopleעָ֔ם'AmH5971;I will provoke them to angerאַכְעִיסֵֽם׃'akh.'i.SemH3707with a foolishנָבָ֖לna.ValH5036nationבְּג֥וֹיbe.GoyH1471.

22For a fireאֵשׁ֙'eshH784is kindledקָדְחָ֣הka.de.ChahH6919in mine angerבְאַפִּ֔יve.'a.PiH639,and shall burnוַתִּיקַ֖דva.ti.KadH3344unto the lowestתַּחְתִּ֑יתtach.TitH8482hellשְׁא֣וֹלshe.'olH7585,and shall consumeוַתֹּ֤אכַלva.To.khalH398the earthאֶ֙רֶץ֙'e.retzH776with her increaseוִֽיבֻלָ֔הּvi.vu.LahH2981,and set on fireוַתְּלַהֵ֖טva.te.la.HetH3857the foundationsמוֹסְדֵ֥יmos.DeiH4144of the mountainsהָרִֽים׃ha.RimH2022.

23I will heapאַסְפֶּ֥ה'as.PehH5595mischiefsרָע֑וֹתra.'otH7451upon them; I will spendאֲכַלֶּה־'a.kha.leh-H3615mine arrowsחִצַּ֖יchi.TzaiH2671upon them.

24They shall beburntמְזֵ֥יme.ZeiH4198with hungerרָעָ֛בra.'AvH7458,and devouredוּלְחֻ֥מֵיu.le.Chu.meiH3898with burning heatרֶ֖שֶׁףRe.shefH7565,and with bitterמְרִירִ֑יme.ri.RiH4815destructionוְקֶ֣טֶבve.Ke.tevH6986:I will also sendאֲשַׁלַּח־'a.sha.lach-H7971the teethוְשֶׁן־ve.shen-H8127of beastsבְּהֵמוֹת֙be.he.mOtH929upon them, with the poisonחֲמַ֖תcha.MatH2534of serpentsזֹחֲלֵ֥יzo.cha.LeiH2119of the dustעָפָֽר׃'a.FarH6083.

25The swordחֶ֔רֶבChe.revH2719withoutמִחוּץ֙mi.ChutzH2351,and terrorאֵימָ֑ה'ei.MahH367withinוּמֵחֲדָרִ֖יםu.me.cha.da.RimH2315,shall destroyתְּשַׁכֶּל־te.sha.kel-H7921both the young manבָּחוּר֙ba.ChurH970and the virginבְּתוּלָ֔הbe.tu.LahH1330,the sucklingיוֹנֵ֖קyo.NekH3243alsowith the manאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376of gray hairsשֵׂיבָֽה׃sei.VahH7872.

26I saidאָמַ֖רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559,I would scatter them into cornersאַפְאֵיהֶ֑ם'af.'ei.HemH6284,I would make the remembranceזִכְרָֽם׃zikh.RamH2143of them to ceaseאַשְׁבִּ֥יתָה'ash.Bi.tahH7673from among menמֵאֱנ֖וֹשׁme.'e.No.oshH582:

28For they area nationג֛וֹיGoyH1471voidאֹבַ֥ד'o.VadH6of counselעֵצ֖וֹתe.TzotH6098, neither is there anyunderstandingתְּבוּנָֽה׃te.vu.NahH8394in them.

29O thatל֥וּluH3863they were wiseחָכְמ֖וּcha.khe.MuH2449, thatthey understoodיַשְׂכִּ֣ילוּyas.Ki.luH7919this, thatthey would considerיָבִ֖ינוּya.Vi.nuH995their latter endלְאַחֲרִיתָֽם׃le.'a.cha.ri.TamH319!

31For their rockכְצוּרֵ֖נוּkhe.tzu.Re.nuH6697isnot as our Rockצוּרָ֑םtzu.RamH6697,even our enemiesוְאֹיְבֵ֖ינוּve.'o.ye.Vei.nuH341themselves beingjudgesפְּלִילִֽים׃pe.li.LimH6414.

32For their vineמִגֶּ֤פֶןmi.Ge.fenH1612isof the vineגַּפְנָ֔םgaf.NamH1612of Sodomסְדֹם֙se.DomH5467,and of the fieldsוּמִשַּׁדְמֹ֖תu.mi.shad.MotH7709of Gomorrahעֲמֹרָ֑ה'a.mo.RahH6017:their grapesעֲנָבֵ֙מוֹ֙'a.na.Ve.movH6025aregrapesעִנְּבֵי־'i.ne.vei-H6025of gallר֔וֹשׁRo.oshH7219,their clustersאַשְׁכְּלֹ֥ת'ash.ke.LotH811arebitterמְרֹרֹ֖תme.ro.RotH4846:

33Their wineיֵינָ֑םyei.NamH3196isthe poisonחֲמַ֥תcha.MatH2534of dragonsתַּנִּינִ֖םta.ni.NimH8577,and the cruelאַכְזָֽר׃'akh.ZarH393venomוְרֹ֥אשׁve.RoshH7219of aspsפְּתָנִ֖יםpe.ta.NimH6620.

34Isnot this laid up in storeכָּמֻ֣סka.MusH3647with me, andsealed upחָתֻ֖םcha.TumH2856among my treasuresבְּאוֹצְרֹתָֽי׃be.'otz.ro.TaiH214?

36For the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068shall judgeיָדִ֤יןya.DinH1777his peopleעַמּ֔וֹa.MoH5971,and repentיִתְנֶחָ֑םyit.ne.ChamH5162himself for his servantsעֲבָדָ֖יו'a.va.DavH5650,when he seethיִרְאֶה֙yir.'EhH7200that theirpowerיָ֔דYadH3027is goneאָ֣זְלַת'A.ze.latH235, and there isnoneוְאֶ֖פֶסve.'E.fesH657shut upעָצ֥וּר'a.TzurH6113,or leftוְעָזֽוּב׃ve.'a.ZuvH5800.

37And he shall sayוְאָמַ֖רve.'a.MarH559, Where aretheir godsאֱלֹהֵ֑ימוֹ'e.lo.Hei.movH430, theirrockצ֖וּרtzurH6697in whom they trustedחָסָ֥יוּcha.Sa.yuH2620,

39Seeרְא֣וּ׀re.'UH7200now that I, even I, am he, and there isno godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430with me: I killאָמִ֣ית'a.MitH4191,and I make aliveוַאֲחַיֶּ֗הva.'a.chai.YehH2421;I woundמָחַ֙צְתִּי֙ma.Chatz.tiH4272,and I healאֶרְפָּ֔א'er.Pa'H7495: neither is there anythat can deliverמַצִּֽיל׃ma.TzilH5337out of my handמִיָּדִ֖יmi.ya.DiH3027.

41If I whetשַׁנּוֹתִי֙sha.no.TiH8150my glitteringבְּרַ֣קbe.RakH1300swordחַרְבִּ֔יchar.BiH2719,and mine handיָדִ֑יya.DiH3027take holdוְתֹאחֵ֥זve.to.ChezH270on judgmentבְּמִשְׁפָּ֖טbe.mish.PatH4941;I will renderאָשִׁ֤יב'a.ShivH7725vengeanceנָקָם֙na.KamH5359to mine enemiesלְצָרָ֔יle.tza.RaiH6862,and will rewardאֲשַׁלֵּֽם׃'a.sha.LemH7999them that hateוְלִמְשַׂנְאַ֖יve.lim.san.'AiH8130me.
