Nehemiah 12:27-40

27And at the dedicationH2598 of the wallH2346 of JerusalemH3389 they soughtH1245 the LevitesH3881 out of all their placesH4725, to bringH935 them to JerusalemH3389, to hold the dedicationH2598 with gladnessH8057, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, [with] cymbalsH4700, lutes and harpsH3658.

28And the children of the singersH7891 were assembled, both from the plain [of Jordan] roundH5439 about JerusalemH3389, and from the villages of the Netophathites,

29also from Beth-Gilgal, and out of the fieldsH7704 of GebaH1387 and AzmavethH5820; for the singersH7891 had builtH1129 themselves hamlets roundH5439 about JerusalemH3389.

30And the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881 purifiedH2891 themselves; and they purifiedH2891 the peopleH5971, and the gatesH8179 and the wallH2346.

31And I broughtH5927 up the princesH8269 of JudahH3063 upon the wallH2346, and appointedH5975 twoH8147 greatH1419 choirsH8426 and processions, on the rightH3225 handH3225 upon the wallH2346 towards the dung-gate.

32And after them went HoshaiahH1955, and halfH2677 of the princesH8269 of JudahH3063,

33and AzariahH5838, EzraH5830, and MeshullamH4918,

34JudahH3063 and BenjaminH1144, and ShemaiahH8098, and JeremiahH3414,

35and [certain] of the priests' sonsH1121 with trumpetsH2689: ZechariahH2148 the sonH1121 of JonathanH3129, the sonH1121 of ShemaiahH8098, the sonH1121 of MattaniahH4983, the sonH1121 of MicaiahH4320, the sonH1121 of ZaccurH2139, the sonH1121 of AsaphH623;

36and his brethren, ShemaiahH8098, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and JudahH3063, HananiH2607, with the musical instrumentsH3627 of DavidH1732 the manH376 of 1GodH430; and EzraH5830 the scribeH5608 before them.

37And at the fountain-gate, and over against them, they wentH5927 up by the stairs of the cityH5892 of DavidH1732, at the ascentH4608 of the wallH2346, above the houseH1004 of DavidH1732, even to the water-gate eastward.

38And the secondH8145 choirH8426 wentH1980 in the oppositeH4136 direction upon the wallH2346, and I after them, and the halfH2677 of the peopleH5971, from beyond the towerH4026 of the furnacesH8574 even to the broadH7342 wallH2346;

39and from above the gateH8179 of EphraimH669, and above the gateH8179 of the old [wall], and above the fish-gate, and the towerH4026 of Hananeel, and the towerH4026 of Meah, even to the sheep-gate; and they stoodH5975 stillH5975 in the prison-gate.

40And both choirsH8426 stoodH5975 in the houseH1004 of 2GodH430, and I, and the halfH2677 of the rulers with me;
