Malachi 2

1And nowH6258, ye priestsH3548, this commandmentH4687 is for you. 2If ye do not hearH8085, and if ye do not lay [it] to heartH3820, to giveH5414 gloryH3519 unto my nameH8034, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635, I will even sendH7971 the curseH779 among you, and I will curseH779 your blessingsH1293: yea, I have already cursedH779 them, because ye do not lay [it] to heartH3820. 3Behold, I will rebukeH1605 your seedH2233, and spreadH2219 dungH6569 upon your facesH6440, the dungH6569 of your feastsH2282; and they shall takeH5375 you awayH5375 with it. 4And ye shall knowH3045 that I have sentH7971 this commandmentH4687 unto you, that my covenantH1285 might beH1961 with LeviH3878, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635. 5My covenantH1285 with him was of lifeH2416 and peaceH7965, and I gaveH5414 them to him that he might fearH3372; and he fearedH3372 me, and trembled before my nameH8034. 6The lawH8451 of truthH571 wasH1961 in his mouthH6310, and unrighteousnessH5766 wasH1961 not foundH4672 in his lipsH8193: he walkedH1980 with me in peaceH7965 and uprightnessH4334, and he turnedH7725 manyH7227 from iniquityH5771. 7For the priest's lipsH8193 should keepH8104 knowledgeH1847, and at his mouthH6310 they seekH1245 the lawH8451; for he is the messengerH4397 of Jehovah of hostsH6635. 8But ye are departedH5493 out of the wayH1870; ye have caused manyH7227 to stumbleH3782 at the lawH8451; ye have corruptedH7843 the covenantH1285 of LeviH3878, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635. 9And I alsoH1571 have madeH5414 you contemptible and base before all the peopleH5971, because ye have not keptH8104 my waysH1870, but have respect of persons in [administering] the lawH8451. 10Have we not all oneH259 fatherH1? Hath not oneH259 1GodH410 createdH1254 us? WhyH4069 do we dealH898 unfaithfully every manH376 against his brotherH251, by profaningH2490 the covenantH1285 of our fathersH1? 11JudahH3063 hath dealtH898 unfaithfully, and an abominationH8441 is committed in IsraelH3478 and in JerusalemH3389; for JudahH3063 hath profanedH2490 the sanctuaryH6944 of Jehovah which he lovedH157, and hath marriedH1166 the daughterH1323 of a strange 2godH410. 12Jehovah will cutH3772 off from the tentsH168 of JacobH3290 the manH376 that doeth this, him that calleth and him that answereth; and him that offereth an oblation unto Jehovah of hostsH6635. 13And further ye do this: ye coverH3680 the altarH4196 of Jehovah with tearsH1832, with weepingH1065, and with sighing, insomuch that he regardeth not the oblation any more, nor receiveth [it] with satisfaction at your handH3027. 14Yet ye sayH559, Wherefore? Because Jehovah hath been a witness between thee and the wifeH802 of thy youthH5271, against whom thou hast dealtH898 unfaithfully: yet is she thy companion, and the wifeH802 of thy covenantH1285. 15And did not oneH259 makeH6213 [them]? and the remnantH7605 of the SpiritH7307 was his. And wherefore the oneH259? He soughtH1245 a seedH2233 of 3GodH430. TakeH8104 heedH8104 then to your spiritH7307, and let none dealH898 unfaithfully against the wifeH802 of his youthH5271, 16(for I hateH8130 putting awayH7971, saith Jehovah the 4GodH430 of IsraelH3478;) and he covereth with violenceH2555 his garment, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635: takeH8104 heedH8104 then to your spiritH7307, that ye dealH898 not unfaithfully. 17Ye have weariedH3021 Jehovah with your wordsH1697, and ye sayH559, Wherein have we weariedH3021 [him]? In that ye sayH559, Every one that doeth evilH7451 is goodH2896 in the sight of Jehovah, and he delighteth in them; or, WhereH346 is the 5GodH430 of judgmentH4941?
