Amos 7:7-13
ThusH3541 did he shew unto me; and behold, the LordH136 stoodH5324 upon a wallH2346 [made] by a plumb-line, with a plumb-line in his handH3027.
And Jehovah saidH559 unto me, AmosH5986, what seest thou? And I saidH559, A plumb-line. And the Lord saidH559, Behold, I will setH7760 a plumb-line in the midstH7130 of my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478: I will not againH5750 passH5674 by them any more.
And the highH1116 placesH1116 of IsaacH3446 shall be desolatedH8074, and the sanctuariesH4720 of IsraelH3478 shall be laid waste; and I will ariseH6965 against the houseH1004 of JeroboamH3379 with the swordH2719.
Then AmaziahH558 the priestH3548 of Bethel sentH7971 to JeroboamH3379 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, AmosH5986 hath conspired against thee in the midstH7130 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478: the landH776 is not ableH3201 to bear all his wordsH1697.
For thusH3541 AmosH5986 saith: JeroboamH3379 shall dieH4191 by the swordH2719, and IsraelH3478 shall certainly goH1540 into captivity out of his landH127.
And AmaziahH558 saidH559 unto AmosH5986, [Thou] seerH2374, go, fleeH1272 awayH1272 into the landH776 of JudahH3063, and eatH398 breadH3899 there, and prophesyH5012 there.
But prophesyH5012 not againH5750 any more at Bethel; for it is the king's sanctuaryH4720, and it is the houseH1004 of the kingdomH4467.
